The biggest thing about the whole “streaming is hard” bit is that the streamers have control over their streams. They are their own boss. So if 9 hours of sitting in a chair and eating cereal while watching someone else’s high quality content is too mentally taxing for you, then cut your own hours or take a vacation. I can’t walk up to my boss at my blue collar job and go “hey boss! Im just gonna work for 4 hours instead of 8. This job is really taxing on me.” I’d get fired on the spot.
I think you can make the same argument for streaming though, if you suddenly decide to stream 4 hours instead of 8, your followers will go watch someone else in those 4 hours of absence, which might result in permenantly losing viewers/money. To be clear, I'm not supporting Hasan, I'm just saying that they do get pressured to stream for long hours, it just dosn't mean they have it as hard as others.
ok, to be fair, most of the big streamers have contracts where they have to stream a minimum amount of hours a month, so some of them do have to stream long hours

There just aren't many people who can be interesting for 6 hours straight. These people should be doing 2-3 hour streams 7 days a week instead of trying to stream for as long as possible in one session.

Early on one of the first things Ludwig said about Hasan was a quick snarky "that guy is a complete waste of time" or something like a content leech. This is the same as XQC when they first got beef.
What's funny is it was basically one week later that Ludwig was "best friends" with Hasan and doing it to get in close and friendly with OfflineTV.

I do like Charlie, but he is pretty generic. Though, that’s kinda what I like about him. Exact opposite of an extremist and tries to approach things with nuance. In a hyper polarized society, I can deeply appreciate it.

I'm gonna make some enemies with this comment, and I want to preface by saying I love Oompaville, but damn if he isn't also such a bad fence sitter who wants to appeal to everyone. I love his content and he seems like a fantastic guy, but listening to the first criticisms of Ludwig I kept thinking I wonder if he would get the same criticisms. It's super noticeable when you compare it to Mutahar who is also in that circle of youtubers but will take hard stances on anything whether or not it's liked or disliked. Anyway, weird tangent I just don't think Tom would ever throw the same criticism at someone like that I guess. Video is still based though.
i watch their podcast sometimes and when oompaville isn't there I'm happy because he won't be taking air time just to say "omg that's crazy" a bunch of times to show he's present
I was looking for something like this. Sure Ludwig, Lwig, Scamwig bi-sexual lighting etc. But oompaville seems just as flavourless. At least Mutahar and Tom will be able to talk about things they might get hate for. Muta and Tom talk about people like Keffals which gets mainstream media's eyes and Tom makes fun of Destiny's relationship which could offend some braindead DGGas. Oompaville always comes in with the coldest of takes or opticsmaxxes for a minecraft type of audience.
