@@collabswithoutpermissionoh yeah, I remember that hunt. I was until recently studying for a film production degree, and tried to replicate his style on a project. While finding the tracks wasn't to bad. finding the iconic stock footage killed me. Replicating his delivery was also way beyond me.
That's the Alien Anthology short film "Alien Ore", it's on both the Alien Anthology UA-cam channel and the IGN UA-cam channel! Super good vibes for Ypsilon. :)
I'm a little concerned about this module 😟. Like if I ran it my players would kick me out of my house. It would be the only time I would ever be allowed to run Mothership. Folks would freak out. Here's the thing. There's a difference between scary and frustrating. And an invisible monster that moves near silently on walls and floors and can tear people into chunks with its vacuum mouth so that it leaves no evidence behind at the crime scene and (unless I'm reading it wrong) hits you three times a round for 2d10/2d10/4d10 means you go from no idea it's there to insta-dead. Plus if someone lucks out and does somehow manages to damage it, it just goes back to it's pod of magic regeneration goo-juice and in 10 minutes is totally fine. Oh and if somehow you find out about this regeneration pod and try to mess with it? It melts you into goo. Thanks for playing. That seems to tip from fun horror into antagonistic GM player abuse. Or am I reading it wrong? This just looks like every GM who's created a super monster to own their group with, to cackle with delight at the shreds of their torn up character sheets. I mean if nothing else, folks play games like this to get to see a cool looking monster when it finally reveals itself. They don't even get that cause it's invisible. I don't know about this one.
Great video! I bought, read, but never actually ran Ypsilon 14, and I honestly haven't considered the possibility of adding a deeper layer of anti-capitalism and universal karma, so I appreciate your analysis! I was probably focusing more on the "starter adventure+Alien homage" and I would have ran it like a monster-of-the-week type of adventure, but I like your take on it, it gives the story so much more depth.
This video is a fever dream and I feel like I'm committing copyright fraud by watching it
I love the snappy editing!

yay rocks. I like rocks. More rocks please. They're like natural history museums for star systems
Hmm...now I want a museum adventure that takes place on an asteroid.
I think I (and a whole lot of other people) got this one free with Dissident Whispers.
Oh yeah, I forgot about that! Very cool of TKG to send those as a freebie.
rest in pieces, Quint the Marine and Skeeter the Android (and rest in pieces Lance's arm and Kane's leg)
Um what about the Alien?? RIP to the Alien too, RADD
Wait... This one is actually a collab without permission... ARE THE OTHERS? AND WHY CAN'T I TELL????

It's impressive how much of a punch it packs in so little space!
