The Z-19's insane levels of agility are achieved by being the only helicopter in the game right now with fully-rigid blades. The blades aren't allowed to rotate up/down/fore/aft, and are directly attached to the rotor mast, meaning the tiniest of control inputs in the yoke translates to immediate rotation in the helicopter, rather than rotating the rotor disc first. Rigid blades usually makes a helicopter a lot less comfortable in turbulence and with the potential to shake itself apart in hard winds. However the Z-19 pulls it off with composite blades that can still flex to absorb turbulence to some degree, like a leaf spring on a car.
TY-90 was actually made with Helicopter Dogfight in mind, making it the first true anti-helicopter missile in the world. its really nice bullying other enemy helicopters & planes with them, improving the quality of life in your team. just bring the cheap AA Missiles, have fun, & make your team happy.
In military exercises PLA often use Z19 (domestic version with TY90 and radar) as mobile anti-air platform, because ground AA vehicles are usually not amphibious.
With missiles like this (hellfires) I like to launch one and then launch another halfway through the first’s travel time. That way if I need to hit the target again I already have one on the way and if the first missile kills, i might be able to acquire a new target for the second one. Kinda saves on ammo.
The base Z-19 model might have appeared in 2012, but if I'm not wrong the Z-19E was offered for export even later. We already have a bunch of vehicles from the 2010s, and well, that can only increase for now

Very good video bro, im fan of your war thunder series and subscribent. Can you please explain how to use this auto tracking for missiles ? Im new to game and while trying this chopper I dont know how to use this feature.
Considering the performance of its air-to- air missiles the missiles of other nations should be buffed to their historic performance. (Stingers to 20g and Mistrals to 30g etc.) Because now their is no reason anymore to artificially nerf them to prevent them from being used as anti air platforms.
Gaijin won't buff them because they don't think they are capable of high g manuveres because of the fin size ( which is technically some what true ) and ty90s aren't manpads so they have regular fins and that's why they have its correct g overload
@@Jay-rb5rs Typical Gaijin Arrogance: wE kNoW tHe MiSiLe BeTtEr ThE iTs OwN mAnUfAcTuReR” they can’t prove the opposite so they as developers should accept the information that EVERY primary and secondary source gives.

@@Jay-rb5rs what do we even expect from Gaijin? They are the most incompetent game developers I have ever seen. I know that missiles are quite complex to code but the code is obviously lacking when such a paradox can result from the coding.
@@idkidk9180 well to be fair ty 90s aren't modeled correctly either they are suppose to fly slightly above enemy helicopters and explode/ fragment downwards to sever the rotor but they just act like every other a2a missile
6:28 actually you can fire and guide multiple beam riding missiles at the same time (for example Vikhr, Ataka-1, Starstreak), beam riders follow a laser beam you point at a target which is also why they trigger laser warning, while laser guided missiles simply target the end of your beam, which is the point youre looking at. I think you meant Semi-auto missiles there because only these can be guided one at a time
They shouldn't tho. Irl, the last missile fired would loose track because the first missile was blocking it's flight path. They essentially worked like fire flash missiles. Vikhirs also needed to be programmed pre flight to have their AA Proximity mode and couldn't be used against tanks while they were programmed like that.
It's borderline useless against ground vehicles and Russian helicopters but ok. It's forced to use even worse Hellfires, which are already beyond trash in War Thunder.

I doubt many people here will know what I'm talking about but I hoping the sea camo from Heliborne gets added to some variant of this chopper in wt, even though I don't play anymore since the camo makes the chopper look absolutely adorable.
This thing is actually broken. Like the flight model is laughable. The thing can do flips without even losing altitude, in RB modes. That's how broken it is. But it's not only that, the IR missiles are even more broken. They have a 6km lock-on range on paper. But in game I have radar locked onto a missile fired at me, when it was at 10km. And I was approaching it at mach 1.2 so it was probably launched from over 12km. I thought there's no way it will have energy when shot that far, casually turned like 45 degrees left, and then 90 degrees right to make the missile bleed energy just in case. And I swear it pulled over 20G to catch me even when I tried to aggressively evade WITH FLARES AND TURNING AFTERBURNER OFF. This thing kinda sucks against tanks with the slow AGM's. But it is just the best AA in the game. There is no counterplay. Zero. You can't outmaneuver it. You can't radar lock onto it because it's a heli in WT. You can't gun it down before you get hit with an unavoidable IR missile that ignores flares and has infinite energy. Somehow the missile of this thing goes at max velocity from launch to the point it automatically detonates. It won't bleed velocity when turning or even after flying for over 10 kilometers. It won't slow down even if the heli shoots the missile up into an altitude of 7km. Tanks can't kill the thing either because it can stay outside of the battlefield and just break line of sight with SPAA. It counters jets with zero counterplay for the jet. It can just fly around the map and stay near the enemy air spawns, and delete anything that spawns.
TY90 is not MANPADS but AA missile which is used IRL as helicopter anti-air weapon rather than self-defense. And it has 2 stages of rocket boosters, so it can accelerate for a long time. However you can just dip your nose towards the ground, and TY90 will fly into the dirt because of Gaijin's spaghetti code lol
The Z-19 is the only heli in the game right now to use fully-rigid blades, which means any tiny input on the control yoke immediately and instantly translates to rotation in the helicopter fuselage without having to first rotate the rotor disc. That's what makes it extremely agile. Keep an eye on your climb rate gauge- you DO lose altitude in flips and rolls because that's simply how helicopters work.
@@SamTulster Eurofighter Typhoon is an incredibly advanced plane and would destroy any other current plane on top tier. And that's why we don't have it. With the obvious difference that it actually is in the game.
It's only good against aircraft. Against helicopters and tanks it's absolute trash. You have to get within 2.5km to even get a lock on helicopters with their magical IRCM and anything with hellfire style missiles is inherently shit in War Thunder. A tiny bush/tree is enough to defeat your $100,000 AGM.
Please before making reviews about helicopters learn how to use the auto tracker. If you lock onto a tank and press sight stabilization again you will be able to actually aim for weak spots instead of aiming at the center of them.
Yes, I know that, and used that feature in this video at least once or twice ... I tend to rely on the auto-tracker in footage since thats what the majority of players do, and I'm trying to present the reviews from the point of view of an average player rather than just showing off.
Using a basic auto tracker function isn't showing off. What I described was the second mode of the auto tracker that allows you to aim for weak spots and ammo while still tracking the target automatically. It doesn't take any skill or knowledge to use it while it helps with destroying targets using 1 missile instead of 3 that you mentioned in the review.
