No. There's quite a lot written about this song if you care to do a search on the internet. One theory is that it is about a journalist who offended Bob at some point. Personally, I consider it to be the angriest song I've ever heard (Dylan's version). Of course John Lennon referenced this song on "Yer Blues" (Beatles' White Album) when he sang "Feel so suicidal just like Dylan's Mr. Jones; I'm lonely; wanna die....".
