    Doing removal when they are overhead are my least favorite for two reasons:
    First, it makes my neck hurt for a few days after.
    Second, when they are full of honey, I know I'm taking a honey shower.
    But even though they are my least favorite types of removals, I still like the challenges they give me. That being said, I hope you enjoy watching the challenges this removal gave me and I look forward to hearing and responding to the comments you leave. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch the video, and I'm praying for God's peace top all of you.

    Nice ! I removed one the other day that went from first floor all the way up thru to second floor a total of 12 feet. No seal plate between floors. Then realized they also went horizontally between the floor joists with another 3 feet of hive. Two full 5 gallon buckets of bees !!!

      @@JeffHorchoff It was in the 90's here! LOL I thought it was a 3-4 foot hive based on the thermal downstairs figuring a couple hr job. But them we discovered there was no seal plate and the hive continued 9 more feet into the second story and then found 2 more feet of comb between the floor joists. I think in all it took about 8 hrs to complete.

      As the summer months down in the south are very warm, alright down right hot with high humidity, there are very few flowering plants. Hey! is there a problem with leaving the bees in a house other than the bees' honey might attract other pests? I guess they add some heat too, and they probably chew up insulation.
    Also do you offer repair services or is that on the home owner?

    • @JeffHorchoff
      @JeffHorchoff  Місяць тому

      At times I suggest to homeowners to leave the bees where they are if they pose no danger to anyone, and on a few occasions they did just that. However, in most cases the homeowners want them removed due to the inherent dangers of getting stung by bees, and I perfectly understand that. It is rare for me to repair after removing bees, but I have done it a number of times, and since the homeowners know I do not do repairs, they will take care of that themselves. Thanks for watching. Great video Mr. Ed! A fine capture of a new abbey colony to liven up your home surroundings! Yes you were indeed a honey coated mess, but I also notice that not a drop of honey landed upon Good Time Charlie! Maybe life as an Executive Videographer isnt all so bad after all! And you can rest assured that Charlie will NEVER get honey on him while he is videoing. He uses the excuse that the camera can't get any honey on it so he can't touch anything that may have honey on it. And you know what, that's ok with me because he does such a great job videoing. Plus, when we eat lunch after, I can complain about the mess I had to work with and he did not. Thanks for watching. God's peace Bob.

    Are you really only dependingon trees and bush to rely on for honey/nectar ???????????????
    We have syill loads of flowers around.
    Weird, it looks like you need yo focus on changingthe peoples and councils to alter their maintaining of the berms of roads, peoples gardens, parks etc etc etc

      For us in the south, that is exactly the case. Though bees do forage on flowering plants and shrubs, the majority of nectar comes from blooming trees. It has been documented that one flowering tree produces the equivalent or more than an acre of blooming plants. So yes, when the bloom of trees is over, that is when the dearth begins. Thanks for watching. God's peace.
