- Visiting Kavala, a picturesque city full of history in the east Macedonia region of northern Greece. Some refer to it as the "blue city" because of the blue and turquoise waters of the Aegean that surround its old city center.
I spent much of the day exploring the Panagia peninsula, which is Kavala’s old town, where many historic sites and amazing views from the castle on its summit can be found.

The first name of this Greek city was Νέαπολις Neapolis and after Χριστούπολη Christoupolis
I really like that word Amphitheatrically. Very descriptive. Wish I was there. We got 10.8 in of snow here. Pretty to look at but not beautiful like Kavala!
Despite the sunshine it felt almost cold enough to snow here! But yes Kavala is pretty.
