- My hometown Kavala is a relatively small city located in Macedonia in Northern Greece. It's a very beautiful city and there are many beautiful monuments, like the City Castle and the Aqueduct, and places to visit around, like Thassos and many beaches. It's ideal for a relaxing weekend both in the summer and winter!

Live your myth in Kavala !!!
You will indeed!
Your best video like ever! And that's because our home town is marvelous and also because I make my cameo in it 😁
Of course it was the best so far! Mostly because you were in it!
Μπράβο παιδιά που αναδεικνύετε την όμορφη πόλη μας!!
😍😍😍
Ωραία αφιέρωση για την Καβάλα μας. Να'στε καλά!
Σας ευχαριστώ πολύ! ♥️
Thank you for you video. I want to visit Kavala next year with my husband. I want to look at the Egean sea from the old town and maybe see Mt. Athos. Also I want to eat greek food again!
Make sure you visit between May and September to get the best of it!
Why didn't you come to Thassos since you were in Kavala?
I'll be there soon!
Thanks I’m here now
I hope you enjoy your time
V nice sharing my dear respected friend Big Likes from Ahmed Ali nizamani
....
Thank you. I'm glad you liked it!
Hi Jamie - I am thinking of moving to Kavala for retirement - how can I get to contact you for a private talk ?
Just saw a photo of Kavala and in researching your city, came upon your video. Greece was my first European destination way back in 1996 and I fell in love. Now that I’ve saved up, I’ve considered buying a house in Greece. With all those abandoned buildings, it seems like Kavala might make a great city in which to invest. Would you agree? Just looking for something small and inexpensive since I’m only allowed to spend 90 days out of 180 in the Schengen region. Thanks!
It depends. If you like a calm city it could be the place for you. If you like more busy and lively places, maybe Thessaloniki or Athens would be a better choice!
There is no abounded house's in Kavala where did you saw them ?I live in Kavala and the best place to stay is Palio and Iraklitsa direct Infront of the beach houses starts from 250.000 and Apartment's modernized 80,000 €
Cute couple :) Are you guys Greek?
We're actually best friends since childhood, but we're Greek!
Could you please suggest me some affordable stay for solo travelers in kavala? Kinda urgent
Well there are no hostels in the city as far as I know, so your only bet is a hotel or a studio apartment.
@@GetawayJamie Oh! So greece is expensive for solo travelers 😢
@@shibamdas915 I think that it depends on the place and time you visit. But it's generally not very cheap!
@@GetawayJamie Got it, Thank you for explaining
Bulgarian city
MACEDONIA. 1986 HELLAS
@@MACEDONIA-7- Macedonia forever Bulgarian. Kavala is Bulgarian forever too.
How sad become the levantine city of Kavala (قولة) after the end of first world War, from a cosmopolitan and main port of the ottoman empire into an abondened marginal city in small country 😢 , it dramatically lost importance same like thessaloniki, Izmir, Alexandria, Beirut as other cities in the new century get prosperity instead
Levantine city? LOL Definetly not. It never was.
Kavala is just the recent name of this city. It's original name was Neapolis - Νεάπολις (from Greek: New City. Founded by *Hellenic Settlers* over 2400 years ago). Later it was renamed into Christoupolis - Χριστούπολις (from Greek: City of Christ) in the 6th century during the (Greek Eastern Roman Empire) a.k.a. Byzantine Empire. At the end of the 16th century, during the Ottoman occupation and forced mass islamisation of the Christian Orthodox Greek & jewish population, the occupiers changed the city's name into Kavala.
