We need week 2. There are so many amazing hits uncovered
Agreed! I definitely thought Spinning Around and On A Night Like This would have been in this list.
agreed a 100 %
Yes please!
Agreed. Spinning Around and Red Blooded Woman should definitely on the list of week 2.
I was expecting so much for come into my world
A petition to have a second Kylie week!
5. Better The Devil You Know
4. Confide In Me
3. Tension
2. Slow
1. In My Arms
In your eyes, needs to be there
@@Jobo89I was gonna say the same thing
Plus spinning around, for me that video is even more iconic than can’t get you out of my head
I love "confide in me". And the mv of "come into my world" is mesmerising too. Another song to listen to from Nick Cave and the bad seeds ft Kylie is where the wild roses grow
did it again ;) and slow
So glad you enjoyed my list. Thank you for reacting! 😁
If anyone watching would like to see a Kylie Week 2, please vote for mine under the request video. It has Confide...Better the Devil...All the Lovers, Come into My World and Slow!
Some sublime hits were not included in, like "Get Out My Way", "Slow", "All The Lovers", "Magic".
@@cricriylascuarentahermanas728 Only 5 slots 😅 I went with Kylie's biggest US hits + her most recent hit for Week 1. I understand that not everyone has liked that strategy. I have Slow and Lovers on my Week 2 list. 🙂I'd be grateful if you could please vote for it before this week's livestream.
Good selection
I vote It!💋
you have great taste
Kylie was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005. A real trooper, she pulled through and is now cancer free! You go Ms. Kylie!
Second Kylie week is definitely needed. You haven’t even scratched the surface!
You guys would LOVE the “come into my world” video
this!!
I do.filmed in france
I said the same thing, because the video is even better than Love at First Sight.
Yass! I was looking for that on the countdown. My favorite from this era.
She is so Futuristic with her music, forward thinking with her finger on the pulse. Love Xx
and she is still killing it at 56
Please her two MASTERPIECES : CONFIDE IN ME & SLOW . SO UNIQUE ❤
One thing this list doesn't really do is show her versatility as a pop star. Confide In Me is essential to her journey, as is Where The Wild Roses Grow. GBI shows what she can do when she goes a bit leftfield and Spinning Around proves that when she returns to a lane she is most comfortable in, there are few who can match her. She's dabbled in R&B and Indie, hell she's even recorded a Bollywood song! This list merely hints at what she's done.
Week 2: Tension, In Your Eyes, Chocolate, Say Something, Spinning Around
It sounded like the future then, and it still sounds fresher than anything today. It's simple, pure, rhythmic, earworm perfection ❤❤❤
You've pretty much hit the nail on the head. Kylie, at least in the rest of the world has always managed to capture the zeitgeist in a way that few of her contemporaries can (Madonna aside of course). That she constantly reinvents her sound and image helps a great deal too.
There has to be another Kylie week - there are some huge songs of hers that you are yet to discover.
yeah true but only due to her persistance, I am old enough to remember the time everyone loved her but noone was actually buyng her music, loving her does not pay her bills ... without gay culture to keep playing her music in the nightclubs she would have disapeared, there was a big gap where she barely manage to keep above the surface, till her big comeback and revival with spining around!
@@Berndr I'm old enough to remember too (and based in the UK). It was only with Impossible Princess that thing really went tits up.
@@vinayparek3671only in the UK. Australia, Nee Zealand and some of Europe/Asia loved it. The UK eventually grew to appreciate it and it’s now well-regarded, but it took a long time.
This song is such a hypnotic song. I swear it gets stuck in your head for weeks!!!
Literally, you can't get it out of your head.
This is also the only Kylie Minogue song that I knew from before! It’s been a fun week getting to know her music more :)) Thank you for a great reaction once again!!❤️
Thank *you* ! I love that you tuned in even when you only knew one song.😄 Fingers crossed for a Week 2 - there's still so much to explore!
It was with this song that I discovered Kylie when I was a child, I loved it and looked for other songs. She has a huge catalog, and it's like you said, we're discovering her other songs and loving them☺️
There’s PLENTY more, definitely check out her 4-5 decade catalogue
The genius of pop music. Not as easy as it looks!
The curly look is a throwback to 80s Kylie when she had to look "girl next door" by her record company.
Not a coincidence that the 80s look appear during the "set me free" part.
Also looks a like an homage to the sequence in "Got to be certain" on top of a building with the skyline behind.
Ugh. Week 2 is needed. All The Lovers, Slow, Confide in Me, Where The Wild Roses Grow, and Shocked.
It’s Kylie magic. That’s the ingredient. She has an enchanting power all of her own. 🥰
Cathy Dennis (songwriter on this track) is one of the best pop writers of her time, and Kylie rarely puts a foot wrong with her production team, but a lot of it is down to her; she knows exactly what she does well, and she is very serious about doing it very well… but in the nicest possible way. She’s probably the nicest, most down to earth pop star there ever was.
We need week 2! You guys need to see Come Into My World!
I heard that album to death. And now that I bought myself a "walkman" again, I bought some of her music on cassette, and it feels awesome.
Kylie continues🎉
The Blessed Madonna & Kylie Minogue - Edge Of Saturday Night ❤❤❤
I know you're done with Kylie, but the coolest thing she ever did is a song called "Slow" and the music video I think connects the dots between a lot of her music, and it has maybe the best choreography of any music video I have ever seen. not because it's hard or crazy but because it suits the song and the video so well, in a way that I haven't really seen anywhere else.
Yes!!
Def!
All the lovers ❤️ Is missing! It should be in that top 5.
At that time, her dancers' outfits and choreography had a quasi-futuristic neo-retro vibe that became a bit of a signature style of hers. Visually, it harks back to 60's fashions from Paco Rabanne, André Courrèges and the like.
Still to this day
This was such a hit in Eastern Europe! Still one of my fav songs to this day ☺️
I also wonder if Lady Gaga pulled any inspiration from this video for “Bad Romance” in terms of mannerisms and hand movements…
The song is timeless. ❤❤❤✨️
This is her best song, an actual timeless uptempo
We need a week 2,3,4 & 5 haha her live shows are phenomenal & proves what a showgirl she is….she delivers every time. Pop heaven since ‘87! Saw her in 1991 live when it wasn’t cool haha & started my obsession with seeing her live on every tour ever since…apart from Vegas a bit out my price range haha
You guys are so cool with your critique of our Kween love watching you both
Her Sister Danni Minogue has one hit that I never get tired of " I Begin To Wonder", It's a club hit.
5. Better the Devil You Know.
4. What Do I Have To Do.
3. Confide In Me.
2. In My Arms.
1. Slow
I’m totally here for this list ❤
The airport stuff (seats, uniform, guiding aircraft movements) and the futuristic/robotic concept perfectly matched. CGYOOMH is EPIC.
First of all, thank you for consistently delivering such amazing reactions. They’re not only entertaining but also insightful and refreshing. Your analysis is always spot on, making your videos a joy to watch. Keep up the great work! Regarding this song, I completely agree with your take. You described the simplicity of it perfectly-how it feels lounge-like but still hits differently. Kylie’s signature sound has evolved but still retains that distinct pop tone.
Although I’m not usually a fan of pop, Kylie is one of the few exceptions. Her music is meticulously produced, keeping you engaged even if pop isn’t your preferred genre. This style, which was popular in the early 2000s, reminds me of tracks like Simply Red's Sunrise or Anggun's Summer in Paris. These songs create big sounds from minimal arrangements, tapping into what listeners crave.
What stands out about Kylie’s hits is their simplicity, which can feel clichéd, but they’re infused with an almost imperceptible soulfulness. You can hear it in the bassline, guitar riffs, and strings, especially in this song. Despite being pop, there’s a subtle depth that makes her music special.
This approach reminds me of Sade, who also used minimal sounds to create a rich atmosphere, though in a different genre. Kylie’s voice might not be unique, but it blends beautifully with her music, creating something truly captivating.
I correct myself, her voice is indeed unique; Not the best, but definitely unique and likable.
Danced in clubs then to this, still a classic song. A proud Aussie
This song's hook is the hookiest hook of all time
Fun seeing your appreciation for the Kylie catalogue. While entranced to this song, you both hit on so much of what made it connect and popular. Also fun shoutout 3:20 to "Put Your Hands Up for Detroit"by Fedde le Grand - a fun video/song!
90s Kylie is the bomb!!!
6:03 I already stated that Fever was her biggest hit album in the USA. It had really good marketing with strong song titles, catchier songs, less generic Europop production, and a Y2K fashion aesthetic. All purposefully designed to penetrate the US market more successfully. And it did.
We need a week 2!! And a 3!! Kylie is legit equal to Madonna outside of the USA, yes she is that huge guys, she has SO many hits in so many countries and is loved globally! Try "Slow", "Come into my World" "Confide in me" "Spinning Around or On a night like this" and my fave "GET OUTTA MY WAY" ❤❤❤
Vote for my list below please!
Fellas! The live version of this song from the Brits is crazy good 😎👍
The photography in this clip was very refined and advanced for the 2000s (2000, not 2005). The incredible costumes.
The strength of the song lies in its simplicity. The La La La hook pierces your consciousness like the best lullabies do - this song was considered so profound and impactful that an entire book examining the impact and significance of pop music over the course of our history was based around it. It STILL sounds ahead of its time, 25 years later.
Its a classic but FAR from the best Kylie song.
As an honorable mention, you gotta check out her M/V for "All The Lovers". One of the sexiest videos ever made and in my opinion her best single ever.
That's my #1 on Kylie Week 2. Please be sure to vote for my list so it can compete in this week's livestream! :)
Oh its not, its corny, she's better when she is more daring, like In My Arms
When she dropped this song, she put Europe in a choke hold for years.
To bad they didn't put some songs from the Aphrodite album(the best for me) and XO
The only KYLIE we acknowledge
This song started playing on US radio in late December, 2001. 9/11 changed the country.
The song was probably the rallying cry to get back to normal. Also, Britney was flopping, Madonna was not releasing anything, and Christina all but disappeared.
So we had a vaccuum to fill and this song was just infectious. If EMI had released a physical single in the US, it would’ve shot to number one on the hot 100.
I use to spin this at the clubs all the time huge gay / dance global hit . Takes me back to 2001 as a dj
there is no other song like this. this truly is unique Kylie
That iconic white jumpsuit! 😁
I know it's a bit dark, but 're the zeitgeist moment of this song, it helps to remember that it was huge in October/November 2001. Can't get you out of my head was a common feeling at that time, sadly.
It came out worldwide (apart from the USA) in the same week as 9/11.
I was 6 when this song came out, and you best believe I remember my friends older sisters wrapping themselves up in sheets trying to mimic that iconic hood dress
there are sooo many more amazing videos and songs to go.. we need 3 weeks of kylie
This was played at my prom 😅 Also played at my prom: Daft Punk's "One More Time," Dirty Vegas's "Days Go By," Modjo's "Lady"," Sean Paul's "Deport Them," and our last dance was Donna Summer's "Last Dance." Good goddamn times!!
I think this song sounded like nothing else at the time. You could compare it to “Around the World” by ATC and other late ‘90s euro dance songs, but it’s so much smoother and sexier, and the la la la hook paired with the infinite bass riff is insanely catchy. It’s her signature for good reason, and really captures her effortless cool sexy appeal.
Still listen to this on repeat sometimes. It’s such good ear candy.
We need a whole month for KYLIE!!! 😂😅
It’s like they meant to have it so repetitive that it reflects the title. You listen to it the first time and it’s stuck. You literally won’t get it out of your head. It had that effect back then, still has now.
This list did not displayed Kylie's music career... two songs from the same 80's album, two songs from the same 00's album. It was a pretty narrowed list. She's been around five decades, so it makes sense to at least have a song from every decade. These are my suggestions for week #2:
#5 Wouldn't Change A Thing
#4 Confide In Me
#3 Chocolate
#2 All The Lovers
#1 Magic
They didn’t choose the list that’s why, it was voted on. You have a great list though.
Kylie Minogue - Love at First Sight ❤
They have already reacted to it.
yeah we definitly need a week 2 for sure, her catalogue is too huge. again, songs like "slow", Chocolate", "all the lovers", " i believe in you", "in your eyes", "on a night like this", confide in me" are just a few examples to show how cool she actually is, and can´t get you out of my head(as much as i love it) isn´t even her best song.
give it a try. you won´t regret it.
Everybody keeps forgetting the unforgettable underated amazing Banger TIMEBOMB!
She should rerelease it 2025 version. She’s one gem that the world outside of Australia and Europe are decades behind recognising just how great she is ❤️💕💕
One thing this list doesn't really do is show her versatility as a pop star. Confide In Me is essential to her journey, as is Where The Wild Roses Grow. GBI shows what she can do when she goes a bit leftfield and Spinning Around proves that when she returns to a lane she is most comfortable in, there are few who can match her. She's dabbled in R&B and Indie, rock and country, hell she's even recorded a Bollywood song! This list merely hints at what she's done.
@@vinayparek3671 exactly
Kylie’s version of the Locomotion is actually the most popular and most played version that’s been played on the radio in the US since she released it in the ‘80s. So if you’ve heard á version of it somewhere, it most probably was Kylie’s version and not the original ‘60s version.
Precisely.
She is the queen of reinvention....probably why she's still around❤
This is the jam, all the time :)
This was my jam!!! ❤
Please do part 2... so many kylie best song... and the mv is the best... tq😅😅😅
Come into my world, spinning around and slow are so great too maybe Kylie week two oooo & magic
For a star that big, another week is a must.... I mean Slow, On a night like this, Better the Devil you know, Hand on your Heart (also how Jose Gonzalez re-interpreted it), Tension, Chocolate, All the Lovers, Say Something... AND WHERE IS "CONFIDE IN ME"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (all her discography tbh)
Please do another top 5 of kylie. Love these songs but there are so much more😩
Slow,
Better the devil you know,
Put yourself in my place,
On a night like this,
Red blooded woman,
The kids are alright.
Much love!!!
I do love curly Kylie too, she could use her hair more like this! And I love love love the violin sound in the final part of the song, it’s so well placed!
I hope for another list on this channel!!!
I've requested one under this week's requests video. Be sure to vote for it :)
This song is a real earworm lol
@WeeklyTop5 Hi guys, I follow you here in Brazil and here Kylie Minogue is a phenomenon. I loved your reaction and I would like to suggest that you do Kylie Minogue live. Kylie has wonderful vocals, which few know about. If you decide to do it, I will leave 5 suggestions here that you will be delighted with. 1- The crying game medley live on the Fever tour
2- Confide in me live in New York
3- Your disco needs yoy live in Toronto (my favorite version of this song due to her vocal range)
4- On a night like this / All the Lovers Live in Aphrodite Les folie tour (this would have to be a reaction to the last two songs of the tour and I would ask you to watch until the final moment where she leaves the stage. (by the way, this tour has the most expensive stage ever created for a show, simply breathtaking)
5 - Kylie Minogue: Summer Tour - In My Arms (Live in São Paulo at GRLS Festival) [Edited]
Hugs guys, I love your channel and I follow you here in Brazil 🇧🇷❤️ I🇧🇷❤️
Yeah we need a second week of Kylie. Need Slow, Timebomb, All The Lovers, Spinning Around and Magic just to name a few. SO many good songs.
YAAAAS Britney and Kylie my best
Love your reactions!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽Kylie is so magical! Please could you also look at Barbra Streisand? Am discovering the enormous, enormous talent she is… especially her 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s music, would love to experience your thoughts ❤
2:29 “Stay forever & ever…” 💣🔥🎧
A fantastic Kylie song written by the brilliant Cathy Dennis!!! It was a hit because it was insanely catchy.
The second Kylie week should be:
5. Better The Devil You Know
4. Confide In Me
3. Slow
2. All The Lovers
1. Tension
I love this song 😂
just perfection
Love your great reaction❤
She has so many amazing hits. You should do Better The Devil You Know and Chocolate. Also Red Blooded Woman. Kylie is the Queen of Pop
Butterfly live it’s A M A Z I N G!
In 2001 no one was doing minimalism dystopian concepts.
Kylie is Australian of Welsh ancestry and her primary music label has always been based out of London. Kylie has navigated much change over the industry and business and during the 2000's major labels began the drop off from the mega USA deals of 90's artists & Sony eg. Janet Jackson. American artists have Max Martin to thank (which they rarely do in interviews) from Sweden for songs and production which shaped the pop adult contemporary music scene and he has 27 no.1 billboards (58 top 10's) from katy perry, britney, backstreet boys, pink through ariana grande & taylor swift. Everything he does is a global success.
Kylie’s song Supernova is my new favorite one
Please do a KYLIE WEEK #2 PLEEEEEEEASE! ❤❤❤
In my age I know the development of Kylie, from the innocent singer who sang light pop songs like "I should be so lucky" and "Locomotion", through the sex appeal in the song "I can get you..." to today when she is a pop icon and does not try to prove himself, as Madonna still does. Kylie is a natural pop icon.
There had to be a drop of Illuminati in this song cause they way it was and has been stuck in my head for yrs lol
Yes, reverse you heard that's the whole song 🤣
In your Head forever....
Love you guys. The one in the baseball cap has an amazing speaking voice. Love your reaction videos of Kylie Minogue. She is the best there is no one like her. You should do more reaction videos of her music.
god, i remember everyone wearing those pants with the side slits after this video. Crazy how that set a trend
Red blooded woman is one of the best songs everrrrr, I wish you reacted to that 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲
Iconic and Eternal
You should check her live performance at Brit Awards 2002
What about "Slow", "Confide in me" and "Come Into My World" "Red blooded woman", "Chocolate".
Sexersize would blow their mind 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂
An iconic piece of naughties pop.
cause this is the lead single.. from the same album of the number 3 song
Im from New Zealand and I remember when this song first came out and she was considered scandalous for her choice in attire. Songs still a banger and I love what she is wearing.
Unfortunaly this song hit only Number 7 on Billboard Hot 100 in 2002. Kylie best single in this Chart ever is "The Loco-Motion", it reached Numer 3 in late 1988
