    Great footage! We’re on day two of I-95 SB from Delaware to Florida (stopped in Savannah for the night). I’d be afraid to see what my hitch and pin box looked like. Yesterday a house plant spilled in the camper making a mess and today an egg broke in the fridge. 😂 Could definitely be worse though.
    Last year the bike rack bounced so much that one of the handlebars from my kid’s bike dented the back of the camper. Thanks a lot SC DOT. 😒

    Thx for the video. New to 5th wheels and we noticed while towing when we hit a dip in the road the back of the trucks bottoms out real hard. I have air bags on my 3/4 ton diesel, made several adjustments but I still bottoms out hard. It's not a heavy 5th wheel (10,500lbs). Any advice? Thank you

    How long will the air bags last in the sun and wind ? Will the crack over time ? Is it best to cover up when not in use?

    • @TheCampoholics
      @TheCampoholics  2 роки тому

      Those are good questions that I can't answer. I can ell you, you can replace the bag if needed. However, the bag is thick, well made rubber, like a tire. I do keep armor all on it to cut down on the UV rays.

    • @TheCampoholics
      @TheCampoholics  9 місяців тому

      Hitch it up and then air it up to the arrowhead. I find that will have it about 110 psi.

    • @scorpy2643
      @scorpy2643 9 місяців тому

      Air it up to the arrow on level ground after hooking up. Mine only goes to 80ish typically. More if I’m carrying a full load of water.

      I'm taking delivery of a fifth wheel, tomorrow that has an Air Ride pin box. I also have the B&W hitch. Before you relied, I was going to go by the clip of the video that showed the pin box width to be overlaping the hitch head. I measure the hitch head to be just over 12". Your link was to a 10" disc. Wouldn't a 12" disc be better? @@TheCampoholics

    Do you still ride with 100 to 110 psi in the air bag? I just traveled with the similar hitch but mine has the added rubber pad. I only had about 80psi in my bag but felt a lot of the bumps in I-95 in SC. I thought 80 was high so I might want to try adding 30 more psi.

    • @TheCampoholics
      @TheCampoholics  Рік тому +1

      I do still travel with about 110. 120 Was to high, so 110 is the comfort zone for us.

    I don't like that they don't clear the bed rails on tighter turns without airing it way up.

    • @TheCampoholics
      @TheCampoholics  2 роки тому

      Not really sure what you mean. You set the air when you hook up at the prescribed fill line. There is no airing up beyond that. Actually raised mine almost 2 inches more above the bed rails.

    • @DavidSmith-ev1bd
      @DavidSmith-ev1bd 2 роки тому

      @@TheCampoholics I mean from the king pin to the back of the pin box is too long to clear the bed rail on a tight turn. Unless I air it way up to clear it. Like 100psi. 46' triple axle. Ram DRW.

    • @Tom-zu7hj
      @Tom-zu7hj 5 місяців тому

      I hadn't thought of that with the 2+ inches extra length from kingpin to wing set. It's going to put the back of the wing set into the bed rails that much sooner on turns.@@DavidSmith-ev1bd
