Great artist, but I read a interview back in the day, he was very lazy. You can notice it in a lot of his works, like judgment on Gotham, by the end of the graphic novel it tapered off. But he was fucking brilliant regardless

Hi, Don't know if this is true in the US, but in the UK, quite a few of the classic 2000AD graphic novels are available on Kindle (including Dredd, Strontium Dog, Nemesis, D.R. & Quinch, etc). So maybe they are available in the US too. Oh, if you like the humour in Deadpool, you will probably like D.R. & Quinch.
@@simonoleary9264 Hello sir, I am admittedly not a big digital comics reader. But I did look into graphic novel collections of some of their other series just now on Amazon. I have some of the Dredd case files, and was aware of Rouge Trooper in the same format. While looking, I found out they have Future Shocks, Halo Jones, Nemesis, and Slaine (which I'm now desperate to order) collections. Unfortunately, I didn't see Strontium Dog which looks right up my alley as well. And I'm very curious about DR & Quinch as it seems to be one of those early 2000AD Alan Moore works that most Americans are unaware of.
@@flexmentallo9993 Hi To be honest, I prefer hard copies too 🙂, but since availability seems to be an issue in the US, I thought the kindle versions might be available. I did just find kindle version of DR & Quinch on Amazon.com (link below), there was also a hard copy for about $50. You might be able to copies of 2000AD novels from UK ebay sellers, although shipping costs might be too high. The DR & Quinch hard copy is available used from about £5 (about $7) + post. Sorry, if I am telling you stuff you already know, just hoping I can help to give you options to further expand your experience of 2000AD (I was lucky to start fairly early on, so still have all my issues from 90-500ish). @@flexmentallo9993 There's been plenty of Strontium Dog compendiums over the years (I have quite a few myself) so you shouldn't have any trouble picking them up on ebay. While it seems churlish to say so I do actually believe that a lot of 2000AD strips are best experienced in their original format rather than in compiled volumes. You just aren't going to appreciate the way they are put together as 5-6 page units if you whizz through a volume. You lose an enormous amount in something like Zenith if you read it that way. It's a completely different experience. I would recommend getting hold of one of the torrents of the whole series (at least up to the the early 2000s (date!) and reading the series you're interested in on a tablet (unless you want to pick them all up in hard copy in which case fair play to you...).
Nemesis the Warlock, Durham Red and Finn all deserved places too but 2000AD is full of great stories. With comic book movies being so popular now it would be great to see movies and games of these characters being made. Dredd was a great movie and Rogue Trooper, Slaine or Finn would be brilliant as Castlevania style Netflix adaptations. Such great source material to work with!

Colin Macneil's art and the visceral but emotional story from the always reliable Wagner.
I recall watching a TV documentary on Channel 4 or ITV in the 90's, I think it was presented by Bruce Dickinson who had just left Iron Maiden to go solo. I should google that. The interesting thing was that they said that human fat is oily and flammable and they suggested that the reason why these fires don't burn down the entire building is that the fat burns so slowly at low temperatures that the building's collective flash point is never reached. This may also explain why lower legs and feet, that are not fatty limbs, are left behind. As for the ignition, who knows.
