Ok it seems like I wasn’t clear about when obi wan leaves the order. This happens after the hostage situation that we show in the scene above. It’s during the clone wars and Anakin is no longer a Palawan.

I think you're overlooking the effect this decision would have on Anakin, if he saw his friend and mentor leave the order for love (after struggling with the decision himself) there's a good chance Anakin would have left the order......or felt very betrayed and may be turned Sith even earlier
Yea I think that’s a possibility but the problem is the promise of saving padme would be too strong along with his loyalty to palpatine and the empire. It’s the same reason why anakin didn’t leave after Ashoka Tano did.
First off I'm stoked to get a reply love the channel and the vids you do, but if you think about it Ahsoka leaving left Anakin angry and disillusioned with the council leading to the Anakin we saw in RotS. Whereas Kenobi leaving for reasons Anakin directly struggle with as well could well convince him to leave the order then he wouldn't have to hide his marriage and could have sought help about saving Padmè beyond Yoda's rhetoric and Palpatine's "Have you heard the story of Darth Plagueis the wise"
@@calumjg2179 Not to mention the fact that in the approximate timeframe that +Generation Tech chose to have this alternate scenario start from, Padme wasn't pregnant and Anakin had not begun having premonitions about her death.
This could encourage Anakin to either leave the order as well (but not very likely since he still has Ahsoka) or be open with his relationship with Padme, especially in this timeline as others have said, Padme is not pregnant yet and Anakin has not received his night terrors about Padme dying

@@james_eee Meh, I think that in their prime, Obi and Ani were still much better than her, but she did get fairly closer by Rebels. Just remember, Vader is weaker than he has when he fought Obi Wan on Mustafar because of his injuries.
If Obi-Wan left the Jedi Order for Satine then it's the end of the SW Universe!! Civilians, army, navy, Jedi, Sith would feel the disturbance. The High Ground would MULTIPLY INFINITELY. Imagine, a family of force and High Ground user! The horror! Obi-Wan would then create a new order called "Order of the High Ground." He then would've ended the Sith rule of Palpatine or Vader using his High Ground user army. What would happen then is "the one High Ground" will rule them all.😅 Edit: The what if is very much probale imo. Also a nice idea. This could be a nice SW AU fanfic idea.😆
The Virgin Jedi: Can’t connect with anyone, can use force powers but they’re not as strong as a grey jedi, actually really evil, really weak against shotguns, it’s very hard for them to think outside the box, relies heavily on lightsaber and force powers. The Chad Mandalorian: Isn’t afraid of loving someone, could possibly use force powers, really chill with you if you’re strong in either intelligence or power, straight up invented shotguns, comes up with unorthodox strategies daily, doesn’t need force powers or a lightsaber to achieve Revan levels of badass, made even more badass if they can use force powers and/or lightsabers.
Technically, they are in the territory of the Council of Neutral Systems whatsoever, so yeah, they wouldn't be threatened by the Empire as they are in jurisdiction of another sovereign nation.
Ahsoka would definitely do that. I also would like to see padawans like Kanan show up and have their training be finished by surviving Masters like Obi-Wan.
If Obi-Wan left the order, the Jedi would likely be quicker to make Anakin a master and put him on the council to fill the void left by Kenobi, this might help increase his trust in them, meaning he might be more open with them, potentially revealing his relationship with Padme given enough time. Given two of their greatest have engaged in relationships, the council might realize they could have to rethink their views on relationships. While Palpatine could still have a considerable influence, the Jedi Council would as well. Anakin could be more open about what Palpatine tells him, leading to a faster discovery that he is the Sith Lord. The way the discovery happens could lead to the Jedi informing the senate, who wouldn't be entirely sure but would be told exactly what that meant. They'd be encouraged to keep the thought in mind as there wasn't enough evidence to fully remove him from office. Palpatine would be stuck. His influence on Anakin reduced, he's the prime suspect for being the Sith Lord, and thus he'd be monitored Ivan more closely. This revelation would lead the Jedi, and perhaps the senate to start investing the origins of, and the clones themselves more thoroughly, leading to the discovery of the inhibitor chips. They'd then look into the orders on the chips, seeing especially Order 66, and Order 37. These would be quite useful to a Sith Lord, and would put Palpatine as an even greater suspect. This could allow them to carry out Order 65, or a similar order, thusly allowing them to conduct a thorough investigation into Palpatine himself. This investigation could even spread to talks with the separatists, leading to the discovery that a Sith Lord was leading them. Through all of this enough evidence could be had to fully remove Palpatine from power, and potentially leading to a more peaceful resolution to the Clone Wars. This could potentially mean the separatists could be allowed to leave the republic, and thus function on their own.
Don't forget Count Dooku the leader of the Separatist might turn away from his master and give himself up to the jedi and the Republic and confirm all the suspicions about Palpatine
very much so, he is a very capable commander and would be very much able to form a professional military. With the council of Independent systems support, and Obi-Wan's assistence in forming/developing there military's. With this strong professional military supported by several hundred worlds, I feel this would be a huge change in any future star wars history after the Clone Wars.
This is the reason why I wish there’s a multiverse for Star Was, just like how there is different Star Trek timelines and different Marvel and DC universes. I really really want to see/read this story.
Another thing you could do is a story where the yungzhon zon (definitely spelled that wrong) attack the galaxy and the Rebels and the Empire team up to fight off this force.
@@misterface4547 In a way Empire Renominate did join forces with the New Republic after Rogue Force defeated the former Empire. Many Imperial forces joined the Republic to fight off the new threat.
The main problem with the multiverse, though it can be used with a bit of moderation in marvel, dc, or star trek is that in the wrong setting with no precedent for multiversal shenanigans, the temptation of awful writers to heavily abuse it as a convenient plot device that effectively removes all stakes from the various story arcs would just be far too great. Not to mention, star wars already has a smidgen of time travel bullshitery now with 'The World Between Worlds' introduced in rebels.

Absent Unity if Mandalore remilitarized, even if only mildly I could easily see some sort of anmesty program put in place, first because they would need the experienced warriors but also because the remilitarization would show that, to a degree, Death Watch was right, that Mandalore needed to reclaim it's military history, even if only defensively
John Patz maybe amnesty is offered for Death Watch who defected and surrendered themselves, but I doubt the rest of Death Watch would be allowed amnesty. They'd be needed but their history and past crimes wouldn't be forgotten
Mandalorians would be so happy with this . They get a legendary warrior and a seasoned general as a leader who will convince their other leader to build up the military .

Basically Blanchett’s portrayal of Queen Elizabeth was an influence for Satine’s character. Plus Satine was the name for the love interest of Ewan Mcgregor’s character in Moulin Rouge.
Great vid. Nice extrapolations. Okay, I see this going one of two ways. 1) Obi Wan helps Anakin turn away from the Dark Side and back to the light. Once that has happened, Obi Wan has an ally who's been in Palpatine's camp, and knows most of the secrets, and the straight dope on the Empire's forces. With this in mind, the Mandalorians and their Confederate allies can make some lightning-fast strikes and cripple the Empire very quickly. The New Order will fall, and it's quite possible that the galaxy will become host to a resurgent CIS, possibly with Satine as the new president. 2) Anakin hears the threat from Sidious in his mind where he says, "Do as I say, or I'll kill your family." Anakin turns on Palpatine, sells out the Empire in return for Obi Wan's help. Pretty much the same happens as above, but this time it's Anakin who takes over the Empire, with Padme as his empress. Luke and Leia grow up as heirs to the throne, prince and princess.
Great vid, but I think your totally forgetting about the fact that Ashoka would have likely still been framed and still left the order in that case she would have hopped on the first shuttle to Mandolor she could find.
I've never watched Clone Wars, but I believe we have a curious easter egg here. Satine is the name of Ewan McGregor's character romantic interest on 2001 Moulin Rouge movie. Satine is played by Nicole Kidman on that movie.
Luke: hey ben want some SATINE cracker or non SATINE cracker for your soup Obi-wan:(emotionally breaking down from the inside/fighting off dark thought) no thanks I'll just have soup
Here's a thought. In the Old Republic comics, during the Mandalorian invasion, there was a group of Jedi that looked at the Mandalorian way of life,, its philosophy. They saw it as a better way of life then the corrupt Jedi code and Republic, so they switched sides. Its Assumed that they were all killed during that war, but what if they hadn't? What if they melted into Mandalorian society, and created their own clan of "Mandalorian Knights," melding Mandalorian tradition with Jedi force teachings, not unlike Jedi Bardan Jusik did with Kal Skirata. The less emotional philosophy, (not emotionless) with a strong sense of Family, Clan, and Social responsibility. In Legends, the Mandalorians saw force sensitivity as a unnatural advantage, not unlike wichcraft, and people showing such sensitivity were often shunned. The Knights could recruit from this population, a clan for the shunned and unwanted. I'd say even accepting peoples that were not force sensitive into the clan. This would spread there ideas to more people, and give a bit of cover for the knights; as not to be a blatant temple of force users, with all the problems that come with it. Could this clan survive all the way up until Order 66? Would they have helped Duchess Satine, opposed her, or been neutral? Same question for the DeathWatch, and Protectors. Could they have survived the empire? Maybe be one of General Leia's Allies in the outer rim? Too off the wall? Tell me what you think.
Not off the wall at all. I personally think that whilst there were good Jedi, the existence of a bunch of space wizards who organized themselves into a martial religious cult beholden to a corrupt political entity was nothing but trouble. Your proposed Mandalorian order sounds good by comparison.
can you imagine obi-wan with his old blue lightsaber and the dark saber for a backup, or even as his left handed lightsaber, clad in Mandalorian armor? if he didnt send satine into a heated frenzy before, he will now.
I... LOVE this timeline! I didn't think the changes would be THAT huge for a 12-minute video, but MAN, you really, REALLY packed it in without anything feeling rushed. I wouldn't be surprised if someone wrote a deeply-researched fanfiction about this after seeing the video.
One interesting point about the 'Academy' Episode is Satine's nephew. For one it's unlikely that Bo Katan of all people would have children, and there isn't any mention of other relatives. Then there's the fact that his face resembles both that of Satine and Obi-Wan, and even the age checks out. That had to be deliberate.
It just occurred to me... The ewoks were originally supposed to be wookies, but their fighting style was too brutal. So they created the ewoks. Ewok is an anagram of wookiee minus 3 letters...
I think GT was imagining the Sith as more of an ideological and religious thing. Originally it was basically just a sect within the Jedi. ....and honestly, the Jedi weren't above killing kids themselves. Or sending them to their deaths in poorly planned battles when vastly outnumbered . *cough, cough, Geonosis* (Right we have 10,000 heavily armed droids. Here's your chance kiddies. You have your glow sticks. Good luck....)
At he end of the day Anakin was still a psychopath clouded by his emotions of rage and jealousy. Perhaps his family and wife in the alternate timeline would help temper his rage to see things more clearly as he aged.
Maul would most likely have died already in the new timeline. With Obi-wan distracted Palpatine would have the power to corrupt Vader completely. Eventually Vader would be sent in to take out Maul and other opponents of Palps.
I wont lie, im not a huge fan of fanfics/theories (but i love the channel lol) i feel like there were a lot of things you said that wouldnt have happened, even if kenobi did leave the order. I feel like this was a very best case scenario.
Why didn't Disney hire people like the people behinde generation tech to take part in shaping the future of star wars...? They need people with the same type of passion as the generation tech people, not directors more conserned with making 10 000 "turns" in the story, throw away or badly answering questions from the last movie and generly giving the middel finger to the fans.... (I apologize for my poor english)
You put some serious thought into this. This is a very well thought out and believable alternate timeline. Obi-wan would have made a great Mandalorian too. I know the Clone Commando books aren't cannon anymore but if Obi-wan had joined the Mandlaorians he would have certainly ended up helping Bardan Jusik and Kal Skirata funnel rescued/defecting clone troopers into the Mandalorian army.
So I was thinking as Anakin was preparing for a retreat from Manalore after being defeated he receives a urgent message. One of Padme's aids from Naboo tells him of her and the childrens capture. So while the clones are busy with a full retreat he sneaks anyway knowing the clones report everything to Palpatine. He slips away from the clones and tries to contact Obi-wan on an old comlink channel they used back when he was still a Padawan. Confused and initially short with Anakin, Obi-wan's tone shifts when he sees his old friend in immense distress. Anakin tells him everything with Padme that he'd been hiding and of the kidnapping of his new born twins with plead for his help. Obi-wan at this point is hugely taken a back and conflicted on what to do as he complete understands what Anakin must be going through at the moment. However, he initially refuses as Anakin did just try to invade his new home and caused the deaths of a good number of his citizens. Just before he disconnects Anakin pleads one last time that he is prepared to do anything for Obi-wan's help as he has no one to turn to. So Obi-wan demands that Palpatine is going to be killed no exceptions, the Republic be restored to reduce the treat to Mandalore, and that a non hostility agreement will be signed between the Republic and Mandalore. Anakin at this overcome with fear and worry agrees without hesitation. So he and Obi-wan then set a rendezvous location where they meet up with Obi-wan bringing a elite Mandalorion strike team in tow. They plan to have Anakin sneak them into Courusant with his now unquestioned authority. With Anakin going ahead of them from that point to distract Palpatine in a supposed secret Sith meeting. *So I won't go into more detail as I just thought this was a cool idea to share.
Vader at one point dreamed of deposing Palpatine, and creating a New Republic basically ruled by Padme, with a new Jedi order headed by himself and their son.

What about if Obi Wan left the order right after he finishes his mission with Qui Gon? That's what I thought you would be discussing here... please do this one as well!
Even I’m that scenario, The Emperor likely would have found a way to have Padme killed. The Sith are big on breaking emotional connection and gaining strength from the resulting anger. (as opposed to the Jedi who promote not forming such attachments at all. Not exactly healthy either, tbh). Vader’s anger would not have been directed specifically at Obi Wan though, so that might have changed their interaction for sure.
Yeah, I think the same. There was no way Palpatine would have allowed Anakin to just live happily with his wife and kids. I don't think he really knew all that stuff about the Sith, and there is no way he would have harmed them in his right mind, so Palps would have had to have engineering something. Vader hated himself most of all, and he could not have created that situation without making him think he's killed own wife.
hmmm it would may even influence Anakin. Thinking the Jedi Order can't be everything there is that there is indeed life beyond the order. Anakin may become brave enough to leave as well with Padme.
Yes. I think that was why he didn't leave. I mean what else was there. Slavery on Tattooine?. He wanted more, a relationship and a family but the Jedi was basically all he had known since childhood too. And most of them weren't exactly well equipped for life in the outside world.
Wow... had the original trilogy not set an ending scenario for the prequel trilogy, this would have been my favourite. Thanks for painting such a beautiful picture!
I wish we could see Dad Obi-Wan, he'd be very good at it, and he deserved better than to sit around on Tatooine for 2 decades watching over a kid he wasn't interacting with. Seriously, I'm an introvert, but couldn't imagine 20 years of near solitude.
After seeing a few of these videos, I have noticed Sideious's plan was complicated and difficult on a nearly impossible level. It could be unhitched and ruined by just changing small points. Remove or change one variable, the Empire never materializes.
Now I wanna see modern/clone wars era Mandalorian Capital Ships. Would they be completely new designs or perhaps based on their old warships? And what about Starfighters?
The UA-cam channel "resurrected starships" has made a Video in which he discusses mandalores fleet doctrines if the mandalorians decided to rise up against the Empire, though not lead by Obi-Wan
I like this a lot. My only thing is that honestly, I think that if Obi Wan had left the Jedi right then for Satine, Anakin would have probably left right alongside him. At this point in the story Padme isn’t pregnant yet so he isn’t seeking Palpatine’s help to save her. All he wants is to be with her without having to keep it hidden. The entire time in that episode where Obi Wan is explaining his relationship with Satine you can see it on Anakin’s face that he wishes he could tell him the truth because he never knew his master had ever been in love too. I think Obi Wan leaving the Jedi for Satine could have saved Anakin from the Dark Side completely and possibly even saved the whole Jedi Order from Anakin too.
Imagine Obi wan with a shiny Mando armor descending from the sky with Mando jetpack holding darksaber with a battalion of Mandos behind him saying, It's Over Anakin we have the high ground
I'm just imagining that Obiwan would have to give up his lightsaber, but through his efforts in facing off against Death Watch cause they would hate a former jedi gaining so much power, Kenobi would be donning Mandalorian Armor and eventually claim the Dark Saber and as the protector of Mandalore. Then the epic climax of a Mandalorian Dark Saber Kenobi meeting up with an intact body Sith Lord Anakin each leading their clones and mandalorians against the Emperor.
Another thing to add, and maybe this has been said before, but even without being directly connected to the Jedi order, Obi Wan would undoubtedly kepp certain connections within the order. 66 goes down, and more likely than not Yoda would contact an ex-Jedi with whom he’s been friends with for the entirety of Obi wan’s tenure as a master. This effect could ripple, and every Jedi who survived the purge would make their way to Mandalor. That means that the (according to both legends and cannon) significant number of surviving Jedi would make up a part of this new force (pun intended). With so much of the order culled and the remaining force users having survived due to grit and determination (and of course luck), these would most likely be the cream of the crop. Those Jedi, plus mandalor’s own insanely well-trained troops and equipment, and they would be a force like nothing Palpatine had ever conceived
The continuation of this scenario would have been interesting. For sure Palpatine would sense Anakin turning against him and take his family hostage, which would be his ultimate undoing. Sideous would have to face off against both Obiwans calm calculating style and Anakin going into a beserker style rampage. Anakin would turn the remaining clones against Palpatine with Order 65 while Obiwan would handle any remaining loyalists at the head of a Mandalorian army. They could then use their high standing with both sides to mediate a stable agreement. As far as Force users are concerned I would expect that going forward trainees would be trained in a less extremist/ more realistic/ forgiving style (similar to Grey Jedi) since the flaws of the old ways had been made readily and painfully apparent.

In this alternate future would the surviving jedi have fled to a Kenobi led mandalore for safety and hide there?
Probably
Agreed
Probably even if the new point of view changed knobia he still would have helped
Don't forget Count Dooku the leader of the Separatist might turn away from his master and give himself up to the jedi and the Republic and confirm all the suspicions about Palpatine
and everybody lives a happily ever after wohooo

This is the reason why I wish there’s a multiverse for Star Was, just like how there is different Star Trek timelines and different Marvel and DC universes. I really really want to see/read this story.
Another thing you could do is a story where the yungzhon zon (definitely spelled that wrong) attack the galaxy and the Rebels and the Empire team up to fight off this force.
Doctor Who has the same thing.

Holy shit. I never realized that Cate Blanchett is the exact live action carbon copy of Satine
That satine character was so popular they made her a real thing!

Are you referencing the Mandolarian Knights?
Not off the wall at all. I personally think that whilst there were good Jedi, the existence of a bunch of space wizards who organized themselves into a martial religious cult beholden to a corrupt political entity was nothing but trouble.

Vader hated himself most of all, and he could not have created that situation without making him think he's killed own wife.

Obi-Wan x Satine
Anakin x Padme
