- In this Video I explain and show how to test for a non-functional fuel pump circuit on a MEFI Marine gasoline engine commonly found on marine inboard and Sterndrive engines.
Another great video.
Where would I find the fuse on 2001 cris craft Volvo penta 5,7?
It's in the owners manual
What causes 20 psi on the low pressure pump on a 5.7 volvo penta mpi? High is normal at 55 psi and the low side should be 8 psi +/- 4 psi. Fuel reg is clean and no paint chips from the garbage Carter pump.
Low pressure internal pressure relief valve is likely the issue. If you have 50-60 psi on the high pressure side, it's good
@@tedsmarinerepair8956 internal pressure relief valve? Is that in the fuel cell? I've noticed intermittent stalling at cruise from 3000-4000 rpm and loud whining from the pump. It's a fairly new engine with new manifolds and tune-up. Still have the intermittent stall after the tuneup. Plugs look a little on the lean side.
Help.. Volvo penta 5.7gi no ground on injectors when cranking relay fues good!! What could be issue ?ecm or hardness
There are 3 ecm grounds that all attach to the engine ground studs. I would check to ensure all have good continuity to block ground.
@@tedsmarinerepair8956 they are all good!! Can you recommend something else I should check ..I think it might me ECM not pulsing ground to injectors
Ecu doesn’t send ground on fuel relay and injectors ..
@user-pj2qf8ec1b I would check the injector driver (ground to the ECM for continuity. If they are good then yes the ECM has an internal open for those ground circuits. I have seen this on MEFI IV ECM's
Is there a fuse for Mercruiser 4.3 MSI fuel pump?
Yes, it is before the relay circuit which supplies voltage to the pump.
