Bro just jinxed her
Unfortunately just lost her French Open 2nd round match to Olga Danilovic
7-6, 5--7, 4-6
I’m so gutted. In their last matchup, Danielle scraped through to get a win. If I remember correctly, she saved a matchpoint against Danilovic in Madrid. I wonder why she keeps struggling against her
Collins shouldn't have played in Strasbourg.
@@polishgigachad7097Agreed!
@@polishgigachad7097 Actually though. Hope fully she can take some time and put in a good result on the grass courts
@@jasonlee6180she's a hard hitter so the grass courts should suit her more
Olga Danilović is really good and is a rising star in the making so Danielle Collins losing that match shouldn't pain her too much. There aren't many true left handers in the top 100 of the WTA so Olga's ceiling is pretty high given her height and mental strength. She got bageled and came back and won in an insane finish last night. That match last night against Donna Vekić was one of the best matches so far in the French Open.
Collins and Ostapenko: the greatest Karens of tennis.
Love the channel! Your videos are well produced and so thorough! Just a small funny note: Anhelina (Kalinina) is just Angelina. The h is pronounced like a g in Ukrainian :-)
Great timing of the post. Lost in 2nd round at French Open '24. Performing well at the slams is most important. That's what really counts.
She is quite good for the entire sport of women's tennis, which is becoming more interesting. Sabalenka and Osaka are also quite powerful and draw many similarities to her. Women's tennis is going to become as big as men's tennis if this continues!
Danielle Collins is an amazing person and athlete, and what she's overcome with her health issues is a tribute to her heart and soul putting it out there on the court. And I love her cuz she's from the United States which is where I'm from.
But women's tennis will never ever catch men's tennis. ...... you're dreaming ...I've been a pro for over 40 years, and women can't hold serve consistently....... Most of the players anyway..
The women's players are homogeneous .... they're not all Court players, and they can't finish points at the net !
The players that do have all Court games like Paula Badosa .... Karolina Muchova are Awsome....
I mean look how many matches are 6-0 0-6 6-2
It's called mental toughness they don't have it and they most all play the same way.... if they learn to change the trajectory of the ball height and spin wise.... use under Spin and come into the net. When they have the opportunity, the game would go up. Unfortunately, they mostly play the same, which is boring !
The women's tour also plays with a smaller lighter ball to make the air go through faster like they're hitting it harder! This is just wrong.
Another fact is the women play two out of three sets at the Grand Slams and the men play best of 5 if they wanted to make the women's game better have them play best of 5 too and maybe they'll start wearing two pairs of socks in their shoes so they can get some blisters !
@@KeyofDavid5778 I agree with your numerous points, but if technology improves, the overall skill required in tennis is going to also go up. Many women have entertaining tennis, just look at Serena. In reality, we never know what will happen in the future, and it is up to the future coaches and professionals to shape the future women's tennis for the better.
You are using a retired player as an example of how women’s tennis will get more popular? Men’s tennis is more entertaining due to the speed and power. Unless more men start identifying as women, that will never happen in women’s sports. The high pitch screams when hitting every ball is also a huge turn off. Yes, some men grunt too, but not like Sabalenka or Collins.
@@tjg801 No, of how dominant players are and how strong Serena was. She was quite entertaining. That's all I am saying. She is not as good as a man, but on the women's circuit she was a beast.
She is strong, attractive, ambitious and talented. However she is very rude. She screams like crazy after unforced errors, non-strategical points during the match. However I noticed this year she does that very rarely maybe she does not anymore... Her 2 chronic painful diseases are very unfortunate. In fact, Wozniacki has also the same chronic disease but we can never know their conditions... Good luck for her
It's a shame, but I'm happy for her. ❤
The "DANIMAL"
I feel the need to announce for our visually impaired listeners, Danielle Collin is fine as a light summer rain, just as a service to the visually impaired. 😎
She's playing with house money and with that playing free without constraint.
so much for that
Favourite WTA player ... Will miss her tennis, her feisty manners, and of course her great interviews... Cute and intelligent girl!
There is a typo in the first statement
No it’s not
included the shot of Tsispas 😆
Ironic timing of this post
He did it on purpose lol
She Only turned Pro Very Late at 22 😂
That's how you know Tennis is Broken compared to other sports.
I guess her purple patch is over now
I thought she looks almost 40 but then I found out she is only 32 lol
This guy got the greatest content, but always the worst timing
Collins is a thirst trap.
Pretty easy to explain... doping
You know they test for drugs and steroids right?
@@wheatpie_is_coo442 She got the new BALCO tho
What are you saying llim79?
@@aca2077 I simply point out a logical explanation for an unusual set of events
Tennis is a sport of precision, technique, composure and intelligent split-second decision-making. Doping doesn't help with any of these. Plus, as already mentioned, they do test for performance-enhancing drugs. So your comment was plain dumb.
It’s crazy how the women get paid the same for doing less work in grand slams. Where are the feminists?
