      @@holliswilliams8426 You guys just say anyone who looks impressive is on drugs just because you don’t know how to train and haven’t put in years of work. He’s pumped up and he’s not THAT lean, usually drug users with mediocre programming will be 10% body fat and still big like Mike Thurston, JustMerk, etc. People underestimate how much fat they really have. You can see this when people do cuts like Alpha Destiny’s 185 to 145. He’s clearly single digit body fat at 145, 8-9%. He and others think he’s something like 22% when he was 185 but that would mean he has 144 pounds of lean mass. 8% at 145 is only 133.4, where did 11 pounds of lean mass go? You don’t lose muscle during a cut if you consume enough protein to make up for energy loss. A 2014 study showed this you can search evidence based protein lean body mass and will find it, Jeff Nippard also referenced the study in his video explaining why he recommends 1.6 grams per pound of lean mass. It doesn’t take as many sets to maintain muscle either, maybe half of what you’d normally do. 11 pounds independent of weight gain is a lot. Example to go from 165 20% to 165 15% you’d have to gain 8 pounds of muscle. When putting it into that context you can see that’s more muscle than people with average genetics would gain in their first year even if they follow a decent program pushing sets close to actual failure progressively overloading. I can personally vouch for this

    The misinformation between the video and the comments is truly impressive. Those going to the gym, don’t get discouraged when you don’t get the unobtainable gains mentioned. It’s impossible without drugs. People saying otherwise are just drug users who are afraid to be honest. Sad really.
    Work hard, be consistent, recovery is as important as the work. Don’t expect linear progression but if you stick with it, diet and exercise is undefeated

      huh? it also builds some solid ass traps and makes your back look thick as hell, and by traps I'm not just talking about upper traps but ur mid traps too. that's why deadlifts will build extra thickness if u deadlift a lot of weight
      also, like squats, because of how much muscles have been worked with the deadlift, during recovery ur body will produce LOTS of growth hormone, essentially affecting your other musckes' recovery as well making them have more gains indirectly

    I'm far from being elite bodybuilder or elite powerlifter... But clearly maintaining progression with strength program is INSANELY harder than keeping muscle growth going...
    Just dealing with fatigue, overtraining, and INJURIES let alone all other constraints from just working out in general...
    I have more respect from those lifting tons of weight than those just slightly putting in intensity and growing anyway because they inject tons ot GH and PEDs...

    • @rniejx4219
      @rniejx4219 Рік тому

      Any knee sleeves will help tremendously. I use adidas cheap elastic sleeves for standard training, and rouge 7mm neoprene for high weight pushing limits. The only reason I dont use the rouge all the time is they are a pain to put on, and I dont need them for routine work.

    Anybody have this experience?
    -Do 'powerbuilding' type of routine, typical 50/50 mix of 'strength' & 'hypertrophy'
    -Works pretty average
    -Change to focusing on hypertrophy exclusively
    -Get both bigger & stronger than you ever did on 'powerbuilding'

    I think people just start working out, and then powerlifting or alternatively bodybuilding is something you drift into depending on your aquaintances at the gym.
    If you're naturally strong you might get into powerlifting because some guy at the gym thinks you have potential.
    Or, alternatively if your genetics get you big really easily, some guy at the gym takes you to a bodybuilding show and you get inspired.
