    The best tip for using a bat for self defense, slip a sock over the end, cover all but the handle, and loosely tape it in place. When you swing it, and your target grabs your bat, the sock will slide off in his hand, and you’ll get a second swing, before he gets to try to grab it again. New Subscriber here, about your sound effects, you’ve read some old Batman comics, haven’t you? KA-POW!

      @@minzekatzemight be a woman swinging it. My wife prefers bat to firearm. Whatever works. There was a 14 year old softball girl who saved her family from a home break in by a grown man with her softball bat. Some girls know how to swing! The sock is a decent trick, but all the other skills covered in this vid + training is key. Shouldnt be first time when defending your life

    I think what people don’t realize too is that, in the moment, you may not want to hurt the other person. It sounds crazy, but if you think about it, most people don’t wish to harm other humans. So sometimes, you yourself will prevent your swing from being as effective. Let it rip

    4 of 4: you made a good point about knowing HOW TO HANDLE A BAT. back when i was in school the kids use to back up when i came to the plate because they knew i could make contact. BUT ANOTHER IMPORTANT TIP is you gotta be in the mindset to defend yourself. it could be a matter of life and death. you or your loved ones or pet dying. you have to let the rage come out. the adrenaline will take over. these videos of people blocking your bat wont work if your are swinging right and left with all your fury. not taking aim or winding up. just come and them with pure fury. ive used that before against two dogs mauling a cat on the street to death. when they saw me running toward them with a four by four piece of wood they took off like bats (the other kind) out of hell. those dogs LOST ALL THEIR AGGRESSIVENESS in an instant. you gotta out crazy them~ lil bro

    The collar bone and knee cap/ shins are often ignored as primary targets. Both areas will incapacitate. Also not to overcommit with the swing, being able to follow through with another strike and making it flow. I would like to see some more stick type weapons on your channel. Escrima, staff and cane work. I carry a Canemasters hickory cane in my vehicle. It is designated as a medical device making completely legal to carry.

    For Drama Resolution, Baseball Bats were the Weapons of Choice in Bensonhurst. Most of the Time you see them used Outdoors. Everyone in the Neighbourhood had Bats at home, in their cars. Like any Weapon it has Pros and cons. Like you said... Practice with it. Some Men are Instinctually Good with Bats. I can Always tell in the first few seconds if a man knows what he is doing with a bat. Even with Practice, a man with a Bat Needs Good Strength, Speed and Confidence.

    bat is not for close combat, you need to use small little league bat, swing at the knee and disable them first, when they go down, swing at the top of the head. use panty hose on your bat, that way if they grab it, the bat will slip out of their hand. use aluminum bat, it make a nice ringing noise when it hits.

    You're both addressing & blind to the most important issue here. Bat doesn't allow you to control distance & can be shut down by just grabbing it. You intuitively know this hence those bat "pokes" in the video. People have solved this many centuries ago with you know - swords/daggers which can thrust and can't be blocked by just grabbing them

    • @411Outdoors
      @411Outdoors  8 місяців тому

      Swords are definitely superior but everyone has this assumption that you’re always going head to head with people. Ambush is also a real thing. Bats esp are great if you can get someone who is not completely aware of what’s coming. People who think they can just blindly swing a bat at someone often their bats grabbed but there are proper ways to use a bat. I can promise anyone that if I have a bat in my hand, it won’t be so easy to grab. It’s all context. If anything it is a deterrent

    3 of 4: i now have a psycho neighbor with a vicious dog who he let kill one of my cats. it jumped my fence to do that. it also came to front door an ATTACKED some bedding i have their for neighborhood cats. the cops and animal control were totally useless even though i had camera evidence of the dog trying to jump my fence and the neighbor LITERALLY training his dog to sic my cats. the cops also said if my cat ever crossed into his property his dog had the right to kill them. so that was my green light if his dog ever crosses back into my yard. so i have a bat outside my front door and in the back of my truck positioned so that i can grab it. the cops aint gonna protect me (my cats are now indoor) so im gonna do it myself. through the years ive also had stray traveling dogs kill kittens in my front yard twice. so yeah mans best friend aint really mans best friend~ lil bro
