The little Spaniel in the Irish Setter section is an English Cocker Spaniel you can tell by the docked tail and definitely has the larger and longer looking muzzle than the Cocker Spaniel, the ear set is a little different on a Setter I think too. The Red and White are more rare than the Irish Setter we're used to seeing and I've heard is older.

Our females were extremely "birdie" but our male has no idea what a bird is😆but they are still very agile and sporty despite having those lovely coats.

@@4EverGreenYT thank you for your nice response. I agree how they can be so different despite being the same breed. Our Siberian Husky was also very typical of her breed but was able to curtail her predatory nature to live happily with our cats indoors, but outside cats in the neighborhood were fair game to her. Dogs are incredible,
If you don't like the show version of the breed you want, then do some reserch on their origin, and many times there are still the original breed allive. Collie/ Border collie = search for Schotch or Welch collie, or English shepherd. German shepherd = search for altdeutche hütehunde. Spaniels = search for the field version (but be prepared of that they most likelly has a higher energy level and preydrive) Doberman = search for the european type, and especially east european. Chow chow or Shar pei = search for Chongquing dog, thou to import them are a nightmare. Kangal = if you don't want the hevier and more agressive Kangal, search for the Karabash. Thou it's still not a first time dog owner breed, they are still very much a mastiff dog, and need serious socialition through all its life. An alternative to Dachshund is the westfälische dachsbracke. If you think that the English Basset hound are to overbread, then search for Basset Artesien Normand, or the other frensh Basset breeds.
Thanks for sharing these tips! It's great to know there are alternatives and original breeds still out there. Do you have a favorite breed from your list?

I think what so-called "responsible breeders" have done to these animals is absolutely disgusting. They should be ashamed of themselves. These dogs have so many health issues as a result of this breeding it's stunning. Not to mention that most of them look absolutely ridiculous.
What jas happened to the fox terrior ? We had one they were protective. An were very good with people. An climbed trees an good at hunting. Would like to know ?
how many breeds are nowadays not efficient, with a lot a health issues, don't move properly...all of this for money. I have one of the only specimen of the french equivalent of the olde english bulldog, getting back a longer muzzle and nose for no breathing issues, run fast and jumps, don't drool for nothing, and no staff/terrier blood... medium sized compact framed dog, the male weighs around 25kg. Character is excellent, lais back but active when needed, they love people and animals and children, good family and watchdog. even some can be good for hunting boar. An all round companion, the best I would say. Feel free to ask if interested in these retro breeds, i have pictures also.
Before you publish any new animal related video, do the check. This is really annoying watching something not matching commentary. There were so many mistakes in breeds footage here !!!!
Does this person know they effed up when going into 17 for Rottweiler, still showing the same image from the previous dog. Also read the other comments agreed a lot of this info is incorrect about most of these breeds. Get your facts straight if you want subscribers
I'm thinking breeders have not been doing certain dogs (and other animals) any favours. I find some of the new, 'improved', breeds to look weirder, even uglier, than their earlier, more natural looking ancestors.
You make a great point! Some modern breeds do look quite different from their ancestors, and not always for the better. Breeding for certain traits can sometimes lead to unintended health or appearance issues. It's fascinating to see how much they've changed over time, but the natural beauty of their ancestors is hard to beat!
uhhh, with the exception of Lassie, all the collies shown were border collies, and 1 australian shepherd...completely different breeds. if youre going to make a video about dog breeds you should do your homework lol
When making those videos you're clearly following an educational purpose. You should pay attention on displaying correct pictures of the breeds you're talking about... Bright example is the Irish Setter.. You had placed the pics of the SPANIEL there instead , twice! In Bassett hounds you had applied a BIGGLE at some point.. Collie, opposing the first pic, you moved on to the border collie, while later referring to Lassie, which is again, Scottish collie or the "rough" collie... Not border collie.. Those are completely two different breeds.. At the bulldog of nowadays you advertised bully, which comes from pitbull line.. There's plenty of real buldogs.. Please pay attention, as you're ruining your own work, making it sloppy and lame.. Unfortunately.
I dont like that you use the word refine so many times for breeds that have been made physically (health wise) worse. I think showing dogs has been one of the worst things to happen to dogs in general as the focus on appearence and 'conforming' to breed standards that way has only led to more extremes. Surely the focus should have been on the dogs ability to do their job not what they look like
And breeders have ruined their health to make them look a certain way. None of the smashed face dogs can breathe worth a crap. Most dobermans die from a heart dis🎉order, ect...
Regardless of the accuracy of this video, it breaks my heart. Selecive breeding per se doesn’t need to be a bad thing. However, due to the focus on looks over functionality and health, so many breeds have been, IMHO, ruined. Inability to breathe comfortably, skin issues, joint issues, heart issues, spinal issues, severe and incurable mental illness due to inbreeding (aka Sudden Rage Syndrome), highly increased incidence of cancer, digestive issues, vastly shortened life span, etc etc etc. Anyone who’s had to have a beloved pet euthanasised because they literally had their spine explode (herniated disk) and severing a good portion of their spinal cord, rendering them paralysed and incontinent (Dachshund), or condemned to a life of excruciating pain from the hips down that even a hip replacement won’t help (severe hip dysplasia and muscle dystrophy, German Shepherd), or permanent shortness of breath so severe they die of heat stroke, English Bulldog) will understand what I mean. I've consciously abstained from owning the breeds I mentioned for those very reasons. The dogs I've had and that weren't rescued had well-researched lineage, showing as diverse ancestry as possible with absolutely no in-breeding up to four generations back, with which I mean completely separate lineage. Medical testing for the most common genetic afflictions known for the breed not just on the parents, but at least three generations back as well. Not just the breeder's word but the paperwork to back it up. I don’t care if the lineage boasts ‘champions’ as the shows still focus way too much on physical traits such as how tall/short the dog is, how ‘sharp’ the ‘stop’ is (connection between the skull and the bridge of the nose) or how short the nose is instead of how long, how ’long’ the back is etc. A lot of those breed standards are minimum standards health-wise. Who wants a dog with cranial bones that didn’t fuse, leaving them vulnerable to brain injury? Or with a skull too small to fit it’s eyes? A dog that’s in danger of blowing the discs between their spine’s vertebra when chasing a ball or even simply jumping out of their bed? A dog unable to play without the danger of it choking or overheating? A dog stuck with a permanent rash driving it insane simply because those skin folds look pretty to some? Not me.
Talking about Collies and showing us border Collies as though they were the same dog. Makes me question the veracity of any of the things you've posted. Because border Collies wild Scottish and origin are about 100 years old, 110 years old and have virtually nothing to do with what we typically think of as Lassie Collies. So I can't help but wonder what other mistakes you've made. It was fun to watch though. I just won't be telling people that I learned anything from it.
@@hellefur7861 I think it confuses people when they look so remarkably different are different sizes. Different colors and work different ways. Since they are not shown together as in the same breed, I just found it puzzling.
@@Hullj I know, but many breed has the same origin, but complete different outcome. English bulldog, American bulldog and Boxer has the same origin, and was bred with eachother, but look so different. Both Saint Bernhard, Grosser Schweizer sennenhund and Bernese sennenhund has the same mastiff origin, but are equally the same, and still way different from eachother.
@@hellefur7861 arguably they're all wolves but we seem to have refined the way we discuss them as breeds based on build temperament as well as color. As opposed to cats who pretty much are defined by color and hair length. Since most people don't know most things, at least as soon as I can tell the more disambiguation there is the greater the likelihood that someone won't get confused. Interesting points though.
@@Hullj All domesticated dog breeds originates from different Woolf populations. The reson of the big variety in dog breeds, are because humans have used selected breeding on Them for thousands of years, and livable mutations has been sought out as desireble traits. Like in new colors, floppet ears, smaller/ bigger size ect. Cats not so much. They have been more or less semi wild, until dog shows started in the 19'th centurie. That's is why my cats has both, european domesticated cats (the Scandinavian type), British Short hair, Persian, russian blue, and even siamese in their pedigree. Because people just let Them roam Free, fertile.
The English Bulldog is the worst. It was a gamebred “Pit Bull”. Look at it now. The Boxer also has changed a lot as has the English Bull Terrier. They’ve destroyed these breeds.
@@dottiscamprunamuck2830 the “American Boxer” is a joke compared to what the dog originally was. The Bullenbeiser was like the Victorian Era English Baiting Bulldog in 1800 and the gamebred Pit Bull today: considered far to intense for society so they mixed the *PHILO KUON* English Bulldog into the Bullenbeiser which gave it the shorter muzzle but many had short, *straight* muzzles. The latter dogs were still athletic dogs with no breathing problems. Once the Kennel Clubs got hold of them - they ruined them.
@@dottiscamprunamuck2830 I would blend catchweight gamebred Pit Bulldogs into the modern Boxer to make it a much more athletic dog, more physically sound and much more drive (which may make them a handful, admittedly).

It's fascinating how individual personalities can vary so much even within the same breed! American Cocker Spaniels are indeed versatile and agile. Thanks for sharing your experiences with your Cocker Spaniels. We'll keep this in mind for future content. Keep enjoying our videos!
@@4EverGreenYT thank you for your nice response. I agree how they can be so different despite being the same breed. Our Siberian Husky was also very typical of her breed but was able to curtail her predatory nature to live happily with our cats indoors, but outside cats in the neighborhood were fair game to her. Dogs are incredible,
Bull Terrier 🥰
The only one that improved was the rotti
god job
They use the wrong breeds several times. Will not watch this guy again.
You were doing so well then showed av cocker spaniel instead of an Irish setter😂
Come on man! Why you didn't mention the most famous pug "Frank" from Men in Black.
I've always found it difficult to imagine even the original dachshund going up against a badger. It's inconceivable.
If you don't like the show version of the breed you want, then do some reserch on their origin, and many times there are still the original breed allive.
Collie/ Border collie = search for Schotch or Welch collie, or English shepherd.
German shepherd = search for altdeutche hütehunde.
Spaniels = search for the field version (but be prepared of that they most likelly has a higher energy level and preydrive)
Doberman = search for the european type, and especially east european.
@@4EverGreenYT I'm most interested in the Aldeutche hütehunde.
I like the mentallity of the German shepherd, but not the way that the breeding has gone, so ADHH it Will be.
But they are quite rare.
@@4EverGreenYT oh, and they are not a single breed, they are several different breeds, that the German shepherd is based on.
So I have to search a little Deeper in to Them, so I can choose the best suited breed for me.
People are abusing dogs just to make shows shame
I think what so-called "responsible breeders" have done to these animals is absolutely disgusting. They should be ashamed of themselves. These dogs have so many health issues as a result of this breeding it's stunning. Not to mention that most of them look absolutely ridiculous.
What jas happened to the fox terrior ? We had one they were protective. An were very good with people. An climbed trees an good at hunting. Would like to know ?
GERMAN SHEPARDS AVE BEEN RUINED. BY AKC CRUFTS ETC. bred for the slopping back, they now have painful mutilated backs. It’s cruelty
Why the ek do they still crop dogs ears at all let alone as short as some on this video.
how many breeds are nowadays not efficient, with a lot a health issues, don't move properly...all of this for money.
"My dog went missing & came back slightly different"
wtf 😅
#Skinwalker_infiltration
It's "Bullenbeißer" not "Bullenbaiser". Like Bull Biter.
Thank you for pointing that out! We appreciate the correction. "Bullenbeißer" is indeed the accurate term.
Maybe do some research and show the correct dog breed that you're meant to be talking about.
Before you publish any new animal related video, do the check. This is really annoying watching something not matching commentary. There were so many mistakes in breeds footage here !!!!
Photos are wrong border collies do not look like a rough collie. also use pitbull in many areas. Get it right or take it down.
You said about Collies and then kept showing border collies. They aren't the same dogs ffs. 😂
uhhh, with the exception of Lassie, all the collies shown were border collies, and 1 australian shepherd...completely different breeds. if youre going to make a video about dog breeds you should do your homework lol
Estragaram quase todas estas raças!!!😢 Q pena
I dont like that you use the word refine so many times for breeds that have been made physically (health wise) worse. I think showing dogs has been one of the worst things to happen to dogs in general as the focus on appearence and 'conforming' to breed standards that way has only led to more extremes. Surely the focus should have been on the dogs ability to do their job not what they look like
Whatever . . . . . . . .... . . . . . . .
#Skinwalker_vibes
and ,again... pit bull terriers in the bull dog section? 2 different breeds. terrible vid
And breeders have ruined their health to make them look a certain way. None of the smashed face dogs can breathe worth a crap. Most dobermans die from a heart dis🎉order, ect...
Je préfère le rottweiler comme le doberman avec la queue coupée et les oreilles taillées .
Not me.
Dachsund uber alles
Dackel😉
Talking about Collies and showing us border Collies as though they were the same dog. Makes me question the veracity of any of the things you've posted. Because border Collies wild Scottish and origin are about 100 years old, 110 years old and have virtually nothing to do with what we typically think of as Lassie Collies. So I can't help but wonder what other mistakes you've made. It was fun to watch though. I just won't be telling people that I learned anything from it.
They are roughly the same breed, with the same origin, thou the collie are purely bread for show, and has a mix of Borzoi in their Early show period.
2nd comenttttttttttttttt
And we're supposed to care about this for what reason?
The English Bulldog is the worst. It was a gamebred “Pit Bull”. Look at it now.
The Boxer also has changed a lot as has the English Bull Terrier.
They’ve destroyed these breeds.
The American Boxer hasn't changed since landing in the US. The type they showed is European(new one)
Some may from evolving while others may from experiment or breeding etc which pity for them😢 just like humans evolved from apes etc
