Mine doesn't loose connection every day but sometimes once a week. It's a bit frustrating but a minor inconvenience. Unfortunately this isn't Garmin's fault it's the fact that Apple doesn't allow third party apps to "sleep" in the background basically meaning if they are bumped out of memory or closed the app will no longer connect with external devices. I also suspect apple does this for a reason... It certainly makes the Apple Watch look much more reliable!
Just started looking for either a smart watch like the Withings ScanWatch or maybe a ring. I do try to stay away from the subscription model as much as I can. For instance, I ditched Adobe for Affinity (and love it). So for me, the Oura is out of the question. The contacts and the bands do put me off as does the light leaking - it sure looks like one is radio-active or something. It now looks like a beta-ring for early adopters. Maybe a buttonless, bandless and contactless V2 or V3 will be more my cup of tea, even though the app sure looks amazing - what a ton of information. Anyway, the Movano ring also looks pretty promising.
Thank you for this quality and honest review of our product! 📦 We can't wait for you to receive your new functional ring and to start building this application together with your recommendations ! 📊

Also big up for this review! Open, honest and constructive criticism. Thanks for that! Cant wait for a long term review with a fully functional ring!
Hi Circular , I'm thinking of buying your ring { passing on Qura due to their monthly fee, that's a BIG NO NO}. Question, will us first gen buyers get a discount on Circular ring 2 when you get the circular ring running smoothly being its currently a beta ring. Thanks for your time.
I am really glad that I can see that the competition of oura is getting bigger and I think that they are going to improve as well and thanks for this video because I wanted to buy smart ring because I don’t like watches and this video helped me to make a distinction of choosing oura for 99,9%
Great thoughts Dave. I finally was able to finish your video. I checked and there is still no update on my Circular Ring shipment. I am glad ŌURA will have some competition. I would love to see more smart rings on the market. Your review had a fanstic honest vibe - well done sir!

Seems like it's not each ring the same. Yes its not perfect yet..but..live HRV? Come on! 🥳
The vibrator and the button feature are great advantages over Oura. (Especially when the software is made to support more uses of the button). I will bet that Oura will have to move in that direction as well, in their next generation. (Although right now they are hopefully busy catching up and actually delivering on their promises to all those who are now paying subscriptions for "better features").
@@Shizlgizl I would say linking activation of the vibrator to the button press is the real problem and is detrimental to battery life. Having the ability to vibrate is a great feature however. I just bought the Oura ring and love it. I hate the Circular ring contacts. From what I have seen from other reviews. It can hurt. Oura needs competition to keep them on their toes. If Circular does not say they will never offer a subscription. Or promise not to offer a subscription for five or ten years. Then expect a subscription in their future. Especially if the Oura subscription wasn't a money grab and was required to remain profitable.

Good points! With Oura, the most insightful points of information are the temperature increase detection which tells you when you should rest, before you actually get sick. Circular looks like it will not last long to me, the website has some issues, and looking at comments many people seem to have issues with the device and customer service.
It would be appropriate to say that CIRCULAR RING is a scam. I ordered a ring in November 2023. It arrived broken. No chance of reapir. Check the reviews on the internet - forums are full of similar stories.
It's a little more complicated than simply the diameter of your finger since there are sensors/charging contacts inside the sizing kit helps manage comfort while getting a good fit.

Good points! With Oura, the most insightful points of information are the temperature increase detection which tells you when you should rest, before you actually get sick. Other than that, you get highly precise data for your sleep phase (there are official studies on this), which you can use to see how, depending on your habits, you can improve your sleep.
Lolz... Nice product but really bad design
Ring size thing aint that smart though. Just use a string and tie it around The finger and then measure it. Cm = correct size.
It's a little more complicated than simply the diameter of your finger since there are sensors/charging contacts inside the sizing kit helps manage comfort while getting a good fit.
Battery life is bumper for me…
i wont not order from these guys at Circular ring, they've had my order for 10 months now and keep coming up with excuses as to why it hasnt shipped. Really poor customer service, cant get an answer from HQ. Dont waste your time
*"aura ring"
🤷♂️
The Circular ring seems cheap and unfinished. I really hope they keep improving it, otherwise it's going to be a big fail.
It's still early. Ther's a lot of potential here though.
I agree.
I'm waiting for the more in depth review.
That Circle ring looks extremely cheap no thanks!!
It's not quite as premium as the competition but they're still up and coming.
Worst product and customer service experience I've ever had. Beware these guys from Circular are scammers.
This company is a SCAM! I received my ring but the battery died after 2 months. I have been waiting for a replacement ring for 2 months and wasted tons of time trying to get any information from them. I lost hope that I ever receive the replacement. STAY AWAY!
don't buy a circular ring! Worst company ever. Did not deliver any product after waiting 7+ months and now can’t process the refund neither.. over 30 days and still waiting..
Looks very very cheap. I'll pass
I'm hopeful for future versions. Time will tell!
Sounds like a half baked product. I wish companies won't release products in this condition.
It's a new product and they're transparent about that which is good. But I would like to see it a little more fleshed out before going full on production.
what a bad review! why you didnt compared it with oura?! This is what everyone wants to know and thats your topic of the video. But in the video you dont compare them.
At this point I didn't find the data very comparable. I'll have a follow up video once my ring is replaced.
Q: what is that?
A: obviously a piece of garbage then.
More useless crap no one needs in their lives
