"Old Guzzi got me home; she always does". You have become one with the machine! Loved the series Nick. Thanks so much for sharing. You're an inspiration. I always look forward to you're next video.
From Adelaide SouthAustralia, thanks for gentle trip through outstanding countryside. Sth Aus is mostly dry barren country, that much water is insane. Regards
Thanks friend. Yep, lots of water and trees. Each place has its own charm. I've been following Joe Ryan riding in your part of the world and feeling jealous myself. Take a look at his stuff - it's good: www.youtube.com/@freewayproject/videos
I love your patience with your motorcycles. I have neither the skill nor the patience for an older bike, but I am impressed with those who do! I, too, loved the harshness of the land between Port Hope-Simpson and Red Bay. The day that I rode it, it was cold and drizzly, and that seemed right for this part of the world! Thanks for sharing your journeys! TC
Thanks Dave. My third time along that coast (once by car). I hope not my last. It's wild and inspirational. As for the bike...we are part of each other. Mechanical centaur 😄
Years ago I had to commute to and from work over a grate bridge that fit ocean going freighters while riding a old scout. My only prayer was I didn't get stuck on top of that bridge because of congestion! From the bridges wiki page. ---- The bridge had a notoriously problematic grating in the center span. After the previous grating wore out, a new one was installed, causing drivers to complain that the replacement was slippery and difficult to cross. That grating was replaced with a new, "state of the art" grating, which also provoked controversy causing citizens to pressure the Jacksonville City Council to act again concerning the grating. - Mathews Bridge Jacksonville Florida
Hi nick thank you for sharing with us this journey, truely great scenery and covering around 400 miles a day on a 51 year old bike. I congratulate you on your stickability. Bye the way I lived in an area called Sydenham in Belfast and one of the residential areas was called Inveraray. Brings back memories of my youth as these were my stomping grounds. Thks again
Thank you for sharing your 5 part adventure Nick! I noticed you rode all that distance without the fairing or wind screen. I am in awe of your "joie de vivre" !
If that means idiocy, then I'm in agreement 😆😆😆. I have a great, classic fairing which you may have seen in some of my other videos. I took it off for a while for a change. Bad time to do it..
Nice video Nick and really nice country- never seen it. Its a special type of stress that can haunt you when your wheels are ambivalent about starting lol Drove a lemon DKW 3 cyl 2 stroke from To to Victoria many years ago- took 2 1/2 mos! 2 strokes are still trying to ruin my day! 2 saws n a weed wacker are laughing at me in the shop, cheers
Once i unpack fully I'll get at her. I think the starter needs a cleaning, and a new battery might be smart. Then a proper tune-up, valve clearances - all the things i probably should have done before I left.😁
Enjoyed the video Nick. Did the battery give up or the alternator? Beautiful scenery and lots of open space. You covered a lot of ground. RIDE SAFE OUT THERE!
Hi Nick I once again find it incredible you jump on the Eldorado and do 5000 miles as if it's common place! Outstanding! Inclement weather. No problem! I had a similar problem with my G5. The points closed up enough to cause a weak spark which also causes the timing to be off a bit. The Convert and G5 have dual points which makes it a little fiddly to get right. Anyway, I'm impressed with your ride. Hats off to you. TT
Great trip! What was Guzzi's problem? low battery? distributor? Alternator not recharging? on my guzzi the times it didn't start it was either an electricity or gasoline problem!😂Great idea the jump start, I have to buy one too! 👍
Perhaps it is time for a Valeo starter for you too. My starting anxiety days are over..
You're probably right 😃
Well done.

8000 km. without a windscreen this is courageous.
Haha. Madness, perhaps...
Thanks Nick...always good!

Excellent, thoroughly enjoyed it.
Steel deck bridges, yuck. Thanks for the continuing inspiration Nick.
This one wasn't a patch on the one across the Churchill River. That one is truly grim.

Go for it 😁
Great series Nick!

Very Nice Nick, very nice.
Absolutely awesome set of videos. Thank you much
Thank you Jerold. It was a great trip on a (sometimes) great bike. 😁
Brilliant Nick. 👍

Nfld and Labrador look like great places to visit ...... maybe this biking season .
Yes indeed.
Great series, very inspiring

Thank you for watching too.
❤️
Inspirational as always. I hear the old R90/6 calling once the new knee settles in. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Michael. That new knee will be perfect.
Looked like a fun ride. Fix your charging system. Haha.
Bad battery. Now fixed 😃👍
Epic

Thanks jimsa67. It is big and wild. 2 strokes...yeah. too many unreliable Lambrettas in my past.
Lovely trip! Spectacular views! Any plans to give the old lady a new battery or am I wide of the mark?

@@nick949eldo Best of luck!

Just the battery was weak. It was fine once the engine was warm.

@@tinytim9413 Yep. Never liked the twin points set up. One set, I can just about cope with (sometimes) 😆

Main problem- operator laziness. Weak battery, no pre trip tune up, possible blocked carb yet. I can never blame the bike or Guzzi.
@@nick949eldoBut as you said, she always gets you home!
