Hey everyone! I hope you enjoyed the mouse cage tour! The girls have been LOVING the detolf! What is your favorite area/item? Below, are some timestamps for your convienience :D 0:00 : Introduction, "haul", ramble, setting up cage/updates 7:17 : Actual cage tour starts! 9:00 : Mice come in! (if you just want to see mice) Have a great week! :D
My 3 girls live in a detolf as well! They absolutely love all the space and I can’t imagine keeping them in anything smaller now that I have it. I’ll be adding two more mice to it this fall and I’m extremely excited! Hope your mice are loving the cage! :)
Have you added the new mice? Does everyone get along? How many can happily live in a detolf? I only know about hamsters and my syrian lives alone in a detolf so I’d feel really weird having more than like 2 or 3 mice in there... but they seem to like having friends around 🥴 so confusing
I have my female colony in the detolf one thing I do want to warn you about keep an eye on I think it’s the wooden base there is a small hole supposed to be for the feet on the cabinet but my mice found it and chewed it out to a much larger hole so we had to do some repairs
i have a question..i wanna get a chinese dwarf hamster and i wanna make it a bin cage, ive done some research and a lot of people r saying a 105 qt bin is good for a robo dwarf and ik a chinese dwarf is a bit bigger ,so i tried to look up a 450 sq in. bin but it’s not tell what size it is.can you pls give me a link for a good size bin for a chinese dwarf??😊😁
Omg this makes me want mice 🥰🥰🥰 I have a lazy little syrian in a detolf and we made him a lid with tunnel attachments. All he does is sleep in his tunnels and comes down only to run on his wheel or saucer and get food :/ he doesnt rly play in his cage and rarely uses his hides or chews. We adore him anyway but hes soooo lazy and doesnt love being handled (we are working on that) I am looking to get more active rodents and am between robos, mice or rats 🤷🏼♀️
Seeing them climb on the hanging items makes me soooo jealous! I’d watch that alll day. I got my syrian two hanging hides and hanging chews which he 100% ignores
Do not use that wheel it's way to small mice may be "small" BUT their tails can barely bend! The minimum is 9 in I have an 11in wheel for my mouse please get a bigger wheel
I hate to break it to you.. but that wheel is way too small for mice. As, we all know, mice have long tails. Because of this, mice would need much bigger than a 6.5'' wheel. This can cause severe back problems. Watch out.

I like the production and the humor. Of course, caring for small creatures is an asset. Also, the corner clicks. Very professional.
This cage is amazing! So many people put mice in smaller cages, and many won’t provide enough bedding either. Thank you for doing it the right way 🤗.
That's what I'm here for ;)
Thanks, Kaylie!
I love the cage set up! The mice look so happy exploring and checking out the new cage!

That’s so fun! It’s always an expirience adding more mice :-D

Thanks Ashleigh! Mine doesn't seem to have that hole, but I'll definitely look out!
Its in the middle of just one side of the wooden pieces on my detolf.
Nicole Earley do you think a hamster would do that or just a colony of mice?
So unbelievably cute 😭 Just love their new cage and they seem to enjoy it too!! Amazing video as per usual ♥️
Thank you!
You are so cute! Loved the video, your mice are so lucky to have you as their owner and a lovely cage!
Thank you!!
Also what size grate do u use for ur lid to keep from escape ? Quarter inch, 1/2 inch ?
1/2!
How much space would you recommend for 3 females?
Absolute MINIMUM, a 20 gallon, but I would highly recommend a 40 gallon breeder
What’s the max amount of mice you can have in a detolf ?💗
I would say 6 girls
IT'S LORIELLE thank you ❤️
Thank u Sir. Your vids r always great!
Thank you, Jeffry! I’m glad you enjoyed :)

The bare minimum hamster cage size is 450 sq.in. for ANY species, but bigger is always better!
110 qt at least. Preferably 115
Find the length and width of the bin and multiply them to get square inches
Curtis do mice smell worse then hamsters?
How often do u clean ur detolf?
Since I own female mice, I need to keep herds at a time- and as a result, they do have a stronger smell than any hamster that I've owned
You dod a great job with that mouse cage
They have those wheels at my Walmart in South Carolina!
Awesome! Most of the walmarts around me have them now too!
Awww, what lucky mice:) I swear animals sometimes live better than people...
At least those with good owners do ;)
I love the cage. My favorite area was all the wheels!!!🤗😍😉🐹🐹🐹🐹🐹
Wow love it

Only get rats if you're planning on putting them in a tall wired cage, not the detolf
Mckayla Wood oh yeah I know that cuz they can have respiratory issues in tanks
When i learned they don’t need sand I went to my mouse cage took it out and threw it away good thing it’s only been there for a week 😂
Yes, very good! It can actually give them respiratory infections (URIs)
Curtis Lasane I’m glad I took it out!!!! I love my girls
😍😍😍😍😍sooooooooooooooooo cute 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

May I ask what "much larger" than a 6.5 inch wheel would be? Sounds a bit extreme, so I'm concerned
@@CGpets101 8 inch wheel is good :)
Yes like and 8 inch to an 11 inch?
Why does the length of their tail matter? Isn’t it about their back?
paige k it can break there tails since it’s very long
No no no mice need at least a 8-9 inch wheel same with hamsters besides syrians that need at least a 12 inch wheel
