Wow, that’s a really ingenious design for sheltering your beautiful orchids for the winter months. I wish I could do something similar but there is no spot in our yard that a shelter would fit and not cause issues with the HOA. Instead, my outdoor orchids get moved into the garage for tropical storms, hurricanes, and when overnight temperatures threaten to drop close to freezing (I think conditions over here around Daytona Beach are similar to what you experience). I might be living on the edge but after 18 years my outdoor cattleyas and Sharry Babies ( purchased when we lived in south Florida) are thriving and specimen sized and bloom regularly. More of my collection is grown indoors and coddled by comparison but don’t necessarily reward me with flowers the way my outdoor orchids do. 🤷♀️ Anyways, thanks for sharing your setup and wishing you lots of beautiful flowers!
Hi, Shirley. Growing indoors can be challenging. If you want more blooms, you need growlights, etc. But it seems like you know what you are doing. We are really happy and thankful you watch our channel and appreciate your comments.
Lovely blooms and your set up for the cold is ingenious. I hope we don’t have a rough winter. That first orchid is Pot. Hsinying Pink Doll. 17:41 is Bc Jairak Kiku.
Thank you for showing your orchid protection. I was trying to find ideas for my orchid shelter. Do you buy the black clips? I saw how to make them out of pipe.
Hi, Roslyn. We buy the clips at Imperial Building Supply in Apopka, Florida. I tried different ones from Amazon, but they wouldn't fit our size PVC. Thank you so much for watching and for your comment.
The first clips we bought last year were from Imperial Building Supply in Apopka, Florida. This year, we need a lot more, so I ordered two different ones from Amazon. They didn't fit. So we went back to IBS and got them there. Thanks for watching, we really appreciate you.
No, we can't go higher than the top of the fence. We don't want issues with the HOA. So there is no way around it. Those plants have to come to the secured area, and the phals in the garage and inside our house.
Love this set up!! Perfect for against the cold! Really great!
Thanks so much!!!. We'll see you soon.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful blooms hope you get everything put away all the best

It's a great tutorial video for those who get winter time. Saludos desde Miami Vicky & Sergio... ✨️👍✨️
Hi, Yudier. Yeah, up here, it gets colder than South Florida. Sometimes, it is about 20 degrees lower. Fuerte abrazo!!!

I’ve been waiting for this video. Sergio, that’s an amazing design! Where do you get the black clips that fit the PVC pipe so tight?
