I'm new to Magnus. He looks like a barn find lol. He's a great presenter!
I bet he smells just lovely.
If Tom Green and Rob zombie had a child
See Singer Porsches.
He's a Porche guru.
Look him up, he's worth it. 🤟🏽🐻
Absolute legend
Every car that is Magnus' "Next Big Thing" is already a classic.
yes but is stil not a 500k car, bit it will be, just like the 2005 ford gt
Truth.
"Next big thing" as in the next big classic. Even he says in the intro that he focuses on classics
its amazing how capable the ACR versions of these are, they're barely any slower than a Senna around LSB for such an "archaic" design
Archaic how so?
@@zatiticherry3421
He's probably talking about the so-called "Flintstone" era pushrod design of the V10.
@@zatiticherry3421 in terms of the senna, with state of the art aero, twin turbo v8, dct, etc
vs the viper with an engine based off a truck design, manual transmission, lightweight "bathtub" chassis, NA, not as much reliance on computers (imo)
oh and the viper is 640hp vs the senna with 789hp
@@ShaiyanHossain That's one way of looking at it; but the Viper isn't archaic, it's a tried, true, successful design. I hear you; but it more 'simpler' than 'archaic'.
@@EdMiF The same technology that the current and highly successful current LS/LT platforms are based on.
Seeing bisimoto and walker in the same video chatting about cars is one of the coolest things for the automotive enthusiasts. Much respect to both men.
Always loved these cars, especially the fifth gen... Definitely under appreciated, but let's keep it that way so I can afford one someday!! 😂🤫
Agreed! I'm with you on that!
Prices are already going up on them
@@bapple30 Yes they most certainly are!!! Definitely keeping both of mine for the foreseeable future as I see some versions skyrocketing in value in the next 10 years.
Already on the rise smh 😞
@@manumari1852 yeah they arnt attainable anymore...just went on autotempest and they go for anywhere between 129,000k-300,000k
danmit....
even the ones from 97 (the gts) are going for more than 50k-60k for good ones
ughhhhh they were 15k-25k a couple years ago
There is a screw in the front tire at 8:17
Well actually last year you could find 5th gens as “low” as 75k. Right now Jan 2021 most are $100k+.
And on the rise
130k****
and rising......oof
thanks to calvo with their stupid 3500hp vipers
Now they're in the 150k, and I found an acr-e for 300k
2013-2017 Vipers are some of the best looking cars ever designed. No need to modify, they're perfect out of the box.
You are right on the money with the Viper rt out of the box is top of the line period!!! These cars can go pound for pound with any of the displacement horsepower wise
There's not a bad angle on this car. Sublime.
Totally right! My son has a red 2013 and it’s always shocking to see it when he comes by. Nearly 100k is pretty steep though, but probably a good investment for the future. I have a corvette C5Z06 and at $22,000, THAT’S a performance bargain! Not as fast as the Viper, but not too far behind. 😀
I had a new 2000 GTS, to date is still my overall favorite car. I sold it after ownership for 6 yrs when I was popping the clutch to do a 180 degree turn around instead of a 3 point turn.
Wow magnus and bisi talking about a car in the same room. 2 legends. Love these guys.
The OG Viper concept still does it for me.
“These might not be the poster on your wall”. Then starts showing vipers... smh
Magnus in a classic Porsche- ICONIC...Magnus in a brand new viper-HOMELESS
That dude at bisimoto was on that Netflix show, fastest car in that minivan
Love the video! Though I did cringe when I saw the screw in the side wall LOL
That would be the second thing that gets changed on the viper.
@ 8:17 screw in the R888Rs! Also, technically tires are a mod, they make a big difference.
As a current owner of a 2008 Viper convertible & a custom factory ordered 1-of-1 2017 Viper ACR-E, I can honestly say these are one of the best cars on the planet, are exceedingly rare, & are already going up in value (especially the Gen V ACR)! For anyone who has never driven one, you really have missed out as it truly is one of the most visceral, raw, & pure fun experiences to drive one of these!
PS: I featured my 2008 in the introduction of the video on my channel about Periodization in case you want to see it (plus it’s a pretty great video otherwise as well 😜). Every time I drive either of them, I get a big stupid smile on my face!!!
Nobody cares about your channel.
One of the most iconic car name in history.
And overall design too.
I agree with both of you guys! Proud owner here!
FitLabb I agree. Also a proud owner.
I love the wheels he put on
1) glad to see you back in the saddle.
2) Opposite of thanks for driving up the price of the viper.
The intro in this series is amazing
Thanks Magnus! Another in the line of brilliant insightful automotive video gems.
The Viper was my absolute favorite car growing up. That, the Lamborghini Diablo and the McLaren F1. I had TONS of posters of those cars. Every time I played a racing game, I picked the Viper.
Great video series, I'm loving it!
Great review Magnus. Always love your take on things.
I've had multiple Vipers, and still own a very nasty 1996 B&W UGT TT GTS (which I can't imagine ever selling). The GTS is basically universally loved by all and never stops drawing attention everywhere it goes. The Gen 2 and 5 GTS & ACR are still some of the most time designs ever. Not only that, there's not many other cars that are as raw and scream "Merica" like these cars do. The Viper will always have a place in automotive history and in my heart!
What a great review by the legend - magnus walker. Really enjoyed his thoughts. Gd choice Hagerty!
Loving the series Magnus!
Thank you for showing the Viper some love. I was always a fan of the Viper and it was a sad day when it went out of production. I would love to own a Viper one day. I still have the diecast 1/18 Viper model I got in high school proudly displayed in my office. Keep up the great work! Beautiful roads BTW. Wait, was that a screw in the tire? Be careful on the road with that!
Okay so you saw the screw too.
Is that a screw on the sidewall of the tire @ 8:17?
That’s how you adjust the air pressure, it’s a racer car thing. You wouldn’t understand.
@@therealboofighter 😂😂
It’s custom
maybe it is a tire plug, just not cut off yet?
I drove a gen 5 with heads/cam/bolt ons and genuinely have never felt terror like that in a car, including stuff with higher hp. They are savage cars, but so underrated and soooo fun to drive
Two of the most interesting guys on the car scene to be honest... And both seem real cool and chill... Good stuff
This was a beautiful video. I hope I'm able to get this car one day, its been a hero to me too
GTS was the car that I drove to a win at Skip Barber's Laguna Seca's cone course. Sweet handling car for such a brute. I'm a big fan! Thanks for the video Magnus
Hagerty quickly becoming the online go to for automotive content! Love Jason, Zack, Sam etc
I prefer the gen 1 and 2s because of their iconic style and 90s nostalgia. Super cool cars and I agree they are pure drivers.
The wheel and tire combo on this Viper is 🖤
2001 GTS here-
*Stryker Heads
*Stryker cam
*Windage tray
*ACR oil filter adapter
*700hp/690tq, all natural
*3 qt Accusump
*Edelbrock headers
*High flow cats
*Corsa cat-back
*Penske Tripple adjustable shocks
*Stop Tech 4 wheel discs and calipers + ebrake
*SSR rims
*Tick Performance trans
*3:55 gears
*Team Tech 5 point belts
*Extra "vroomy"!
Oh yeah, lowered driver's seat, shortened gear shift lever
6:51 Ralph Giles sig on the fuse panel. As for the part where they talk about mods, Vipers respond really well to heads/cam/exhaust upgrades because they are rather restricted from the factory due to emissions. Likewise, they respond even better to forced induction. Search on here for Calvo Vipers and you'll see lots of vids of turbo Vipers getting to really crazy speeds. A very capable platform indeed.
Cruis'n World arcade vibes, double 'clutching' wheeling the Viper hahaha good times!
I always liked the Viper and would love to have the latest model myself.
One of the best interviews with Bisi I've seen!
Check out the Motoman interview
I was a young teen when the Viper came out and it Exites me now as much as it did then!!! I believe that if this came out today for the 1st time itd still be relevant, Beautiful lines and Curves 🤙🇺🇸🙏
Beautifully ❤️ done...txs MAGNUS...future 96 BLUE WHITE classic here here! 💙
3:52 (that childhood context went out the window real quick) 😂😂
Another great video by @magnus! Be careful though, I see a screw in the tire sidewall at 8:17
Great show Magnus!!
This guy is great. Big fan of this series.
Bisimoto is a mad genius, i'm such a big fan of that guy, i learn something every time i see him.
Another nice episode.
Magnus had a great driving school the true 911 air-cooled made for real men, and this is what this car is all about the true rawness of driving. It's a shame that's so underrated for an analog beast is one of the best cars made in America, ACR shows it's real potential with a few mods. Plus it was one of the most successful cars in racing a true legend like Magnus, thanks for making justice to this unique Monster.
Well done. I like Magnus, interesting guy. The 5th Gen Viper looks so freaking good.
I love the wheel and tire combination
2 good videos in a week? Subscribed.
Enjoy this series very much makes me want a Viper
You have a nail in your tire...... cant wait to have one I'm looking into a gen 3 coupe
when i was in the elementary we had library and they had book on vipers i must of checked that book out hundreds of times
Straight to the classifieds !!! ❤️
Those wheels are fire!🔥
This car age very well. This shape make its very nice looking no matter how much years we look back. Such a beautiful machine.
Fantastic video
Nice car..very underrated..if they ever build another one..It will be amazing.
Jesus... This Viper looks and sounds so good, it hurts!!
Gorgeous!
Magnus is the definition of a car guy and I know Bisi from Jay's channel. Put those two in a room with a camera and you can stream for hours of them talking cars.
Bisi and Magnus!!! Form meets function.
This video is full of fantastic energy... Wizard and Blackman...unexpected Journey :-)
The '96 GTS was the first poster on my wall when I was 9 😁
Great t-shirt on Bisi :)))
love the review, did anybody notice the screw stuck in the tire?
I've seen that Honda that sitting on the ground showcased on another show before it's definitely pushing big horse power
@ 8:16 big oof those lower caps exposes a nail on the edge of the sidewall... GG.
what's the song that plays at the end?
I don't mind the music in the background, but it covers up some of the engine noise and the reviewer talking (which for this car is important). Could you wait to add the music for interviews?
I was obsessed in the 90's with the viper. I'll own one one day !😉
what are you waiting for?
"....Schwarzenegger on steroids...."
As opposed to Schwarzenegger before his bodybuilding career, not on steroids
Never thought I'd see Otis Firefly as a car presenter.
i thought that was rob zombie when i saw the thumb nail for the video
lol
I would suggest driving that gen 2 GTS that you dreamt about. They are so much more pure than Gen 5 in every area. Throttle response will not disappoint and looks even more muscular. LeMans 24 hour winner, World Championship GT2 back to back sweeps...Gen 2 GTS is THE Viper and history will show this to be true.
Great video. What is the name of the song used in the intro?
found it. Biba Dupont - Miscegenation (Snippet)
The Viper is my dream car. I would love to own one. Maybe when I can afford one, a new generation will come out that is just as nice looking.
Didn't they stop this forever
@@rdj2398 I know they stopped it but they can bring it back anytime. I think they will eventually.
So glad I own a 2016 viper GTC ACR extreme.
Massively under appreciated styling to imop
That's always been my dream car, the Viper ACR is the ultimate car
My favorite mod in a Mustang, remap. Got rid of the throttle “delay”
That Porsche-Hub t-shirt is on point lol
RAW...says it best 😁
I love this Bisi/Bismoto guy , I remember his 1100hp minivan.
*cough cough* take notes Chrysler....we need a Chrysler Pacifica Hellcat. It's the best sleeper ever
I'm still waiting for a 300C hellcat
@@Gearbhall there is a 2021 300S v8 i think it has the RT motor or svatpack motor idk
Does anyone know what wheels are those?? SUPER NICE
Its like this chn is dedicated to the "workin mans heroes" i love it! Already seen a few vids on cars even a poor man like me has owned and loved
Not a dodge fan, but that’s a piece of work, nicest rims I’ve ever seen in my life.
Thanks for showcasing this future American classic 🇺🇸🤘🏻
Love the Porsche Hub T-shirt. Where can I purchase those??
Scenic drive, location witin CA?
There is one slight modification... you can see it on 8:15 !!!
He has an aftermarket intake on the car also
@@bapple30 i recognized that also, but i dont think its aftermarket, looks like he only replaced them stock plastic or rubber pipes/tubes with some self welded aluminium pipes or so
@@TheFastStang It has cone shaped air filters installed, so it is definitely not stock, and of course those aluminum pipes are not stock, so it is modded
@@bapple30 i agree 🐍🇺🇸👍🏽
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Great wheels !
Whats that piano song at the start of the video called? 1:03
I've always felt the RT looked weird with that truncated roof but the GTS looks absolutely fantastic.
Title should read- "Homeless Man Drives Viper"!!
It takes a lot money to dress that shabbily.
Insert Stanky in there somewhere.
I've always loved the viper and the v10 is my favorite engine layout. Your increasing prices with these videos....
