Krishna's Unique Qualities Vs Narayana qualities... just read it,
In the Bhakti-rasamrita-sindhu, Rupa Goswami lists sixty-four characteristics or qualities exhibited by living beings. Fifty of these, he writes, can be found in an ordinary soul (jiva) in minute proportion, while Lord Brahma, Lord Shiva, and other demigods may possess as many as fifty-five. Vishnu, he continues, displays up to sixty of these qualities. But the remaining four are found only in Krishna, escaping all other manifestations of the Supreme. The four qualities unique to Krishna are as follows:
1. Lila-madhurya: He exhibits numerous wonderful pastimes for the pleasure of His devotees.
2. Bhakta-madhurya: He interacts with loving devotees in intimate ways.
3. Venu-madhurya: He plays on His divine flute, thus attracting all souls.
4. Rupa-madhurya: His beautiful form is incomparable, unrivaled in all of existence.
Embedded in these scriptural explanations of Krishna's supreme position is something more fundamental: Krishna's supremacy underscores the superiority of love over power, sweetness over opulence.
Bhaktivinoda Thakura writes in the Navadvipa Bhava Taranga (118): "As much as my Sri Krishna is endowed with utmost sweetness [madhurya], similarly the Lord of Vaikuntha is endowed with absolute opulence and grandeur [aishvarya]. Lord Krishna as Vrajendra-nandana [the darling of the king of Vraja] never gives up this same opulence, but such aspects of His spiritual grandeur are considered unimportant by His pure devotees."
In other words, while Krishna sometimes reveals an opulent side that parallels that of Vishnu, as, for instance, when He enacts His kingly pastimes in Dwarka, Vishnu never displays the sweetness associated with Krishna and His associates. Therefore, it can be said that Krishna has something not found in Vishnu-pastimes of intimate, familiar love.
Most concepts of God, even in the Vaishnava tradition, naturally evoke awe and reverence, but Krishna evokes intimacy and personal loving relationship. It is this, beyond all else, that distinguishes Him among manifestations of the Supreme. And love, as we all know, is the highest phenomenon in all of existence. After all, when confronted with a choice between power and love, who would choose the former?
In conclusion, the Gaudiya Vaishnava vision of the divine is that all forms of Godhead are equal-since there is only one God-but Krishna enjoys a special position as the "candle who lights the other candles." In addition to His ontologically prior position as the source of all Vishnu manifestations of the Supreme, He exudes a sweetness and intimacy that eclipses the power and majesty of other divine forms. In fact, His all-attractive nature (Krishna means "the all-attractive one") even attracts other manifestations of the Lord. Srila Prabhupada explains that Krishna is known as Madana-mohana because He conquers the mind of Cupid (Madana). When He stands in a three-curved way, He attracts all living entities, including the demigods. Indeed, He even attracts the Narayana form presiding in every Vaikuntha planet.
Srila Prabhupada writes in Chapter Ten of Teachings of Lord Chaitanya: "There is no beauty to compare with that of Krishna, who is the origin of Narayana and all other incarnations, for no one possesses beauty equal to or greater than Krishna’s. Otherwise, why would the goddess of fortune, the constant companion of Narayana, give up His association and engage herself in penance to gain the association of Krishna? Such is the superexcellent beauty of Krishna, the everlasting mine of all beauty. It is from that beauty that all other beautiful things emanate."

My Question to guruji.. If Krishna is real source of Vishnu/Narayana then why did Vedas mention that Vishnu's is Supreme (tad vishnoh paramam padam sada pashyanti surayaha)... And why did Vedas mention Narayana as ParaBrahman directly (Narayana parabrahma tattvam Narayanah Paraha)... Why did not Vedas mention Krishna as Para Brahman and Param Padam?.. And my opinion is Vishnu/Narayana descended himself as Krishna but not Vice-versa...
Thank you in advance...
Tarun Sapra Sir ji I'm not against Shri Krishna.. Indeed i'm devotee of Sri Krishna.. First understand what i said.. The guruji in the video says Krishna is source of Vishnu/Narayana. From Vishnu Purana to Padma Purana and Mahabharatam we have read that Sri Vishnu himself came as Shri Krishna.. While this man completely differentiates Shri Krishna and Sri Vishnu...
Tad Vishnoh Paramam Padam Sada pashyanti surayaha (RV 1.22)
Narayana ParaBrahma Tattavm Narayanah Paraha (KYV 10.13.4)
In Bhagavad Gita Shri Krishna says he's source of all the vedas and he is the one to be known by vedas but Vedas didn't mention about Sri Krishna rather they mentioned about Narayana/Vishnu.. Hence here we can clearly understand that there's no difference between Sri Krishna and Sri Vishnu. It's just the name that is different.
But these iskconites claims are completely irrational and iskconites mostly rely on Bhagavatam which is a Smriti.. Smriti has no stand when it is against Sruti.
Here is a good writeup on the topic.
The Veda itself is called śruti for two reasons. (1) It was heard (śruti), not “authored.” This is why it is called apauruṣeya (unauthored). Accurate perception of reality (“knowledge” / Veda) exists intrinsically with reality itself, it is not separately created. (2) The sound (śruti) of it is very important, and very strict grammatical rules are in place to insure that any changes or curruptions to the mantra sounds can be detected and corrected.
By the second paradigm, the purāṇa and itihāsa are not to be considered śruti. They are part of another branch of the Vedic library: smṛti (thought, where the concept has precidence over the verbal form it is expressed in - so the verbal form can expand and contract as various narrators narrate the texts).
By the first paradigm, the purāṇa and ihihāsa are indeed to be considered śruti - because they are a “fifth part” of the original Veda put into words originally by Śrī Brahmā.
“The blessed and powerful master, Vyāsa, accepted and empowered me [Sūta] to narrate the Itihāsa and Purāṇa. First he had organized the one Yajur-Veda into four sections, defining four aspects of sacrifice. The section called Yajur defines the preparations for sacrifice; the Ṛg section defines the sacrifice itself; Sāma defines the hymns sung to please the gods during the sacrifice; Atharva defines the supervision, correction and consummation of the sacrifice. After organizing the Veda into these four parts, that supreme scholar compiled the Purāṇa and Itihāsa by combining various explanations of the Vedas. The Śāstra describes that all of these originate from the original, single Yajur-Veda.”
- Vāyu Purāṇa (60.16-18, 21-22)
“Knowing that the Purāṇa fade and scatter over time, I become Vyāsa to reestablish them aeon after aeon. The four-hundred thousand verses of these eternal Śāstra are, aeon after aeon, in each and every Dvāpara Aeon, organized into eighteen and distributed on earth in that form. Even then, however, they continue to exist in the immortal realms in their original form with one billion verses. The four-hundred thousand verse compilation fully communicates their complete meaning.”
- Matsya Purāṇa (53.8-11)
The phrase, “All of these originate from the original, single Yajur-veda.” indicates that the Purāṇa are as much a part of the original Yajur Veda as are the four divisions bearing the names Ṛg, Yajur, Sāma, and Atharva. The portion of the original Veda that did not have a place in the organization of four components of sacrificial became the four-hundred thousand verses of the Purāṇa distributed among mortals.
“The Competent Master condensed the Veda and then organized it into four divisions. Because he edited (vyasta) the Veda, he is named ‘Veda Vyāsa.’ He then condensed the remaining billion mantras into the four-hundred thousand verses of the Purāṇa, although the original billion-verse version still exists in the immortal realms.”
- Śiva Purāṇa (7.1.1.37-38)
Argument: No Way! No How!
Some argue that the Purāṇa are not śruti in any sense of the word.
If that were so, why does their very name imply that they embody the complete śruti? It is said, “Because they complete (pūraṇa) the Veda, they are called Purāṇa.” Just as one cannot complete a gold bracelet with lead, one cannot complete the Veda with something non-Vedic.
The fact that the traditional method of studying the Veda includes study of the Purāṇa also proves that the Purāṇa are Vedic.
“…it includes the Brāhmana, Itihāsa, and Purāṇa.”
- Taittirīya Āraṇyaka (2.9)
Further pramāṇa from śruti:
“Ṛg, Yajur, Sāma, Atharva, Itihāsa, and Purāṇa arise with the exhalation of the Supreme.”
- Mādhyandina-śruti (Bṛhad-Āraṇyaka 2.4.10)
“I studied the four Veda - Ṛg, Yajur, Sāma, and Atharva - and the fifth Veda: the Itihāsa and Purāṇa.”
- Chāndogya Upaniṣad (Kauthumīya 7.1.2)
“The mantras of Ṛg, Sāma, and Yajur manifest from the Supreme Divinity, as did the Purāṇas and the gods.”
- Atharva Veda (11.7.24)
“Moving towards the Bṛhatī meter, the beloved Vedic Itihāsa, Purāṇa, Gāthā and Nārāśaṁsī manifest.”
- Atharva Veda (15.6.10 & 12)
“Thus all the Veda manifest, including the Kalpa, Rahasya, Brāhmaṇa, Upaniṣad, Itihāsa, Anvākhyāta and Purāṇa.”
- Gopatha Brāhmaṇa, (Pūrva 2.10)
“Ṛg, Yajur, Sāma, and Atharva are the names of the four Veda. The Itihāsa and Purāṇa are known as the fifth Veda.”
- Chāndogya Upaniṣad (7.1.4)
Further pramāṇa:
“One who thoroughly studies the Veda with their expansions into six appendices and the Itihāsa and Purāṇa becomes a true knower of the Veda.”
- Vyāsa-smṛti (4.45)
“In antiquity the grandfather of the immortals underwent difficult discipline to manifest the Veda, their six appendices, and their usage manuals. Then all the Purāṇas manifest - auspicious, sure, and composed of the eternal, sacred knowledge of all the one-billion mantras of the Veda.1 The divisions of Purāṇa that emanated from Brahmā’s mouth begin with the Brahma Purāṇa”
- Skanda Purāṇa (Prabhāsa 2.3.5)
“Ṛg, Yajur, Sāma, Atharva issue in that order from Brahmā’s mouths. The Itihāsa and Purāṇa are the fifth Veda, the masterwork spoken by all of Brahmā’s mouths, once he had seen and understood everything.”
- Śrīmad Bhāgavatam (3.12.37,39)
“The Itihāsa and Purāṇa allow one to comprehend the Veda.”
- Mahābhārata (Ādi.1.267) & Manu Saṁhitā
These quotes are from Śrī Tattva Sandarbha, according to my translation, in a book I have published called, Basic Truths of Gaudiya Philosophy, as a result of studying it with Śrī Satyanārāyana Dāsa Bābājī who is the foremost specialist in Śrī Jīva’s Bhāgavata Sandarbha. The next section of Śrī Tattva Sandarbha goes on to present pramāṇa that the Purāṇa are currently more reliable than the other parts of the Veda. I encourage the inquisitive reader to study this book very carefully.
Vraja Kishor das
First Off all Thanks for Blocking Me... With the grace of Sriman Narayana, The Supreme Brahman ( ParaBrahman), i will keep on fighting this idiocy.. :) And now let's get into the topic
Everything you gave says Purana's are 5th Veda.. Veda means Knowledge and yes Purana's and Itihasas are 5th source of Knowledge.. But where it is mentioned that Puranas >= Vedas? Also Where it is said that Sruit being equal to Smriti?... Smriti Holds authority as long as it doesn't contradict with Shruti.
Sruti is direct experience. Great Rishis heard the eternal truths of religion and left a record of them for the benefit of posterity. These records constitute the Vedas. Hence, Sruti is primary authority. Smriti is a recollection of that experience. Hence, it is secondary authority. The Smritis or Dharma Sastras also are books written by sages, but they are not the final authority. If there is anything in a Smriti which contradicts the Sruti, the Smriti is to be rejected.
Also the quotes you gave categorized them in order, Rig, Yajur, Sama, Atharva and next comes other scriptures. And when u see from the order you'll find 0 evidences for Sri Krishna in Rig, Yajur and Sama Vedas, Leave Atharva Veda, few bogus upanishads were attributed to it.

1.) Some people may understand that Krishna has 64 qualities, Vishnu has 60 qualities etc. but Sripad Ramanujacharya, Sri Madhwacharya mentioned from Vedic Scriptures that LORD NARAYANA has INFINITE no of auspicious qualities.
2.) In Spiritual world everything is eternal that means there is no beginning nor ending. Then at what time did expansions of Lord Krishna took place? If Narayana expanded from Krishna in Spiritual world then before expansion Narayana is not there and Vaikunta? If so how can we call it as a spiritual world?
3.) Balarama is not Krishna's expansion but he is a JIVA tattva. Sripad Ramanujacharya gave this knowledge that Lord Ananta sesha (balarama/ lakshmana) is a JIVA tattva. Then how can we say he is Vishnu tattva?

purusakhyany atho viduh
ekam tu mahatah srastr
dvitiyam tv anda-samsthitam
trtiyam sarva-bhuta-stham
tani jïatva vimucyate (Satvata-tantra )
The sloka from Satvara Tantra of Pancharaatra explains that the same bhagvan (Vishnu) remains in three forms, 1 Mahatah srasta = creater/source of everything.. (Para Vasudeva)
2) Anda samsthitam = present as kshirabdhinaathan in every brahmaanda (Vyuha form)
3)Sarva bhutastham= The one who lives inside every creatures (antaryaami form)..
ISKCON explains the same sloka as "Krishna has a direct expansion, and then expansions of the expansion. His immediate expansion is Lord Baladeva, or Balarama. Then from Balarama come the catur-vyuha,the quadruple expansions of Vasudeva, Saìkarsana, Pradyumna, and Aniruddha. And from Saìkarsana, the Narayanas expand. Then from the Narayanas come second sets of Vasudeva, Saìkarsana, Pradyumna, and Aniruddha.” Thus we see that there are unlimited expansions of Krishna." ...
Even a person who knows very basic sanskrit can figure out that they just fake everything (in fact, they themselves don't know what the actual sloka means.. They just copy-paste 😆😅😂😃😁) ...

This is what Gaudiya Vaishnava believes that Krishna is supreme. Nothing wrong in that also. Saivites believe Shiva is supreme and he created Narayana. Shakti devotees believe she created everything. The end of the day everyone and everything is Parambramha swaroopa which has not differences or distinctions. These arguments on who created who become purposeless 🙏🏼

Iwill mever agree this
According to the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna is termed Svayam Bhagavan. As stated in the Bhagavata MahaPurana, the Supreme God Parabrahman Adi Narayana (Vishnu) appeared before Vasudeva and Devaki in his divine original four armed form before taking birth as Krishna. Vasudeva and Devaki, after praising Vishnu, requested him to hide his divine form which Vishnu agreed to do,transforming himself into a baby, Krishna. According to this account, Krishna never took birth from the womb of his mother like a common baby.

What?
It is written in Shree Mad Bhagvatam that Rukmini k garv se Bhagwan Vishnu ji Wo Chaturbhuj Roop me the aur Shastro k sath the aur v bahut kuch...
Wahhh😂. Kuch bhi. Lord Krishna was an avatar of Maha Vishnu Himself and we need to treat both of them equally.
While Bhagvatam extensively describes the creation of cosmos and the manifestation of God and His other forms
Lord Vishnu is actually the same. He's the only original spiritual form of Lord Krishna
Whereas rest of the forms that Lord Krishna took was temporary. For eg. When Lord was showing His universal form to Arjun, he not only displayed two arms or four arms but infinite arms and heads
But that was a temporary form. But wen Arjun requested Him to come back to His original spiritual form, Lord showed Arjun His four armed form as Vishnu Therefore, Lord Vishnu is Krishna and Krishna is Vishnu
No difference at all
And regarding who came first, that no one can tell
Because with Krishna's existence came Vishnu's being and with Vishnu's existence came Krishna's being
Have you seen any such case where the Sun has risen but the light has not? Or wen the Light has come up but the sun has not?
Wen the sun rises, both the sun and the light are seen together
Therefore, even if Vishnu came first, Krishna already existed and wen Krishna came first, Vishnu already existed because there's no difference. The Lord has proved this many times.
While Vedas, Upanishads, Itihass, Puranas, Nigams, Aagams all have talked about God, no scripture clearly mentions whether Krishna is Supreme or Vishnu.
Most of the scriptures have have always mentioned Vishnu with Krishna and Krishna with Vishnu. I have read Ling Puran, Vishnu Puran, Padma Puran, Skand Puran, Shiv Puran, Brahma Puran and in all these Puranas, Vishnu has been mentioned alongside Krishna and Krishna alongside Vishnu
And what to talk of Vishnu?
Lord Shiva and Vishnu have been shown as one and the same in Purans
Actually it's only about thoughts. The followers of Devi consider Devi as the supreme and so as The followers of Ganesh consider Ganesh as Supreme
The followers of Shiva, Shiva as supreme
The followers of Vishnu, Vishnu as Supreme
Nro can I talk to you?

Hare means Hari, Lord Hari is nothing but Lord Narayana/Vishnu
Hari=Rama, Hari=Krishna
i.e., Narayana is expanded into Rama and Krishna.
If Vishnu is exapnsion from krishna, we would have different mantra, correct me if i am wrong.
I am on the same intelligence as everybody posted some comments here.
I am a true devotee of lord narasimha , lord rama & lord Krishna. I respect them all with utmost sincerity and devotion.
Because they all are Narayana/Vishnu expansions.
Narayna/Vishnu = (Matsya = Kurma = Varaha = Vamana = Narasimha = Parashurama = Rama = krishna = Buddha = kalki)
"Mahabharat starts with following verse." It starts with Bhagavan "Narayana/Vishnu"
"Narayanam namaskrtya naram caiva narottamam daiveem saraswatim vyasam tatho jayamudirayet."
Meaning:
Having bowed down to Narayana and Nara, the most exalted male being,
and also to the goddess Saraswati, must the word Jaya be uttered.
See another verse from mahabharat
"Satyam Satyam punah Satyam Uddhrtya bhujam uchayate Vedaat Sastram Param naasti na daivam Kesavaat param"
Meaning:
The Supreme Lord is Narayana and this is truth, truth and the truth. I
declare this with my hands raised above my head. Says Vedavyasa. This
opinion is that of the highest source of knowledge that is Vedas.
I can quote many verses from mahabharat and it goes on....................
What are the scriptures we have in sanatana dharma.
Vedas (Rig,Yajur,Sama & Atharva), upanishads (108), itihasas(ramayan and mahabharat and puranas(18 puranas).
Vedas are called shruti shastra. They are called aparusheya, meaning not authored by humans.
Upanishads are explanation of vedas.
Itihasas are history, meaning happened.
puranas (18 puranas) are called smriti shastra, meaning remembered stories of what happened.
Shruti shastra(Vedas) are primary authority, first source of knowledge.
Itihasas and puranas are secondary authority, meaning second source of knowledge.
throughout the vedas you are unable to find "krishna". sorry to say this, Please lord vishnu forgive me.
Ask any iskconite to show one single direct scripture reference that krishna is mentioned in vedas.
Instead, Narayana/Vishnu is mentioned throughout the vedas.
Let me quote you some hymns on Narayana/Vishnu from vedas.
"Om tad vishnoh paramam padam sada pashyanti suraya diviva chakshur-atatam
tad vipraso vipanyavo jagrivamsahasamindhate vishnor yat paramam padam"
Meaning:
Just as the sun's rays in the sky are extended to the mundane vision,
so in the same way the wise and learned devotees always see the supreme
abode of Lord Vishnu. Because those highly praiseworthy and spiritually
awake brahmanas are able to see the spiritual world, they are also able
to reveal that supreme abode of Lord Vishnu.
"Narayana paro jyotiratma narayanah parah
narayana param brahma tattvam narayanah parah
narayana paro dhyata dhyanam narayanah parah"
Meaning:
Lord Narayana is the Supreme Absolute; Narayana is the Supreme Reality; Narayana is the Supreme Light; Narayana is the
Supreme Self; Narayana is the Supreme Meditator; Narayana is the Supreme Meditation.
See how many supreme's are there in this "Naryana Sukta". Just i have quoted only one verse. Naryana sukta is very big.
Just read Purusha suktam & Vishnu suktam etc....... List goes on...............
I am not quoting these, i don't have time and don't want to disturb your valuable time.
Vedas are highly praising on supreme lord Narayana/Vishnu, Which is absolute truth and there is no truth greater than this.
Iskcon is based on Bhagavatam, Mahabharata(includes Gita) and Brahma Samhita only. Iskcon is not focusing on Vedas and Upanishads.
Brahma samhita is not validated text and it is not known throughout india. only gaudiya sect is following and It's origin is unknown.
If any purana(smiriti shastra) is contradicting with primary source of knowledge which is veda, we have to reject it out rightly.
Because smriti(purana) is not primary source of knowledge.
We have to accept a purana as long as it doesn't contradict with primary source of knowledge.
If we put Bhagavatam, Brahma samhita & mahabharat a side and ask ourselves where krishna stands without Narayana/Vishnu.
We get a big Zero. (Lord Vishnu and krishna , forgive me by saying this)
Our universe life is 310 Trillion earthly years approximately as per shastras.
Lord Brahma life span is 100 divine years and we are in the 51st year of brahma. (155 trillion earthly years are already passed away, 155 trillion years left).
From the last 155 trillion years, our ancestors are worshiped narayana/vishnu only, we don't have any reference from the past showing krishna is the primary source of Narayana/Vishnu.
Ranganatha Swamy Temple in Srirangam-Tamilnadu: Largest functioning Hindu temple in the world which is dedicated to Maha Vishnu.
Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple in Tiruvanathapuram-Kerala: Richest Temple in the world dedicated to Garbodakshayi Vishnu(Padmanabha swamy).
Venkateswara/Balaji Temple in Tirumala,Andhra Pradesh: World's famous temple which is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara/Srinivasa/Balaji
Etc......... so many temples...........
I request all the devotess/readers, if you have time, please go to any of the above temples and ask a priest, All your doubts will be cleared and
you will be in full spiritual knowledge of absolute truth.
The priests in these temples are dedicated their entire life on studying vedas, upanishads and all the literature from Childhood.
They will recite anything from shastras without looking into the books, meaning they are vedanta pundits/masters in spiritual knowledge.
Sorry, if i hurt anyone feelings.
My humble obeisances to Supreme Lord Narayana/Vishnu.
I am not against Iskcon. The way they differentiate vishnu with krishna by saying Vishnu has 60 qualities whereas krishna has 64 qualities.
Is this is the way to respect our sanatana dharma?
Vedas are clearly saying that Narayana has infinite qualities and infinite opulences.
Have anyone seen in iskcon temples where the priests are chanting veda mantras and performing vedic rituals?
Please guide me.
Om Namo Narayanaya.
