so if i already killed the captian for the key and it doesnt drop would the key be in my bank? lol dont know why i am asking lol but im gonna go look now lol- it was in the bank that awhole time but thought i would leave the first part of my comment in when i edit cause this would be good info for anyone that has the captain not dropping the key.

wear the slave clotches and search the west bookcase. then talk to the captain
if approaching him and he has no sail option, make sure like instructed in the guide to search the bookcase first :]
