I am crying for you Emily. When I was 41 I lost my 40 year old brother. I could not have done a video like this, especially so soon after you lost him. You are a strong person- I bet your brother enjoyed it. My personal tribute to my brother was a long time later when I sent a long email and a voicemail to him before I deleted his phone number and email.
Watch for signs that he is still with you- they will come.
I love that idea of sending him an email. I think that would be so healing. I've thought about sending him a text message.

I also lost my brother recently. Not in such tragic circumstances, my brother was much older than me and died at home in his bed following his third stroke. However I've loved him all my life and can't quite understand a life without him just yet. It doesn't make sense. So just to send supportive thoughts and prayers from a grieving woman in the UK who loves and misses her brother to you, a grieving woman in the USA who loves and misses her brother.

I’m so sorry for the loss of your beloved brother. I lost my younger brother in 2016 to cancer. He was in his 50’s when he died. Entirely different kind of loss in how it happened, but still the same in many ways. We’re so used to being “an older sister” and it’s hard to change that mindset. I still have text chains on my phone from him, and can’t bring myself to delete them. Yet. I admire you for your calmness, and am sure this video was extremely tough to do. The pain will ease, but I don’t think it ever completely goes away. Give yourself time. My profound condolences to you and your family

So sorry for your loss. My sister drowned on thanksgiving day 2005 while on vacation abroad. She was 26. And my only sister. It does not get easy, but I focus on all the memories of who she was and not on that last event. They made us better persons.

I lost my mom in 2023 and the sorrow comes in waves, however, there are also times when happier thoughts come up when I remember family vacations, game nights, having a coffee with her and talking about my day, etc. Give yourself time. Unfortunately, one forgets far too often how many individual fates lie behind each of these reports, behind each crime and each war.
