James does actually look like Noel
After much cosmetic surgery, I'd imagine......
Oh, thought that was Eminem playing Noel 🤣
He really doesn't
That’s how far the comparisons go
The glasses really helped that skit!
“White boy of the year” you can tell Michael wrote that for Colin lmaooo
Could have been Sarah.
It 100% was Sarah. She does something like that to Colin every time she’s on Weekend Update
Michael doesn't use the gen Z slang, it's either Sarah or Bowen.
@@sws212 its not gen z slang. its a racist insult invented by black people long ago. i hear elderly black people say it in public all the time, and it needs to stop. last time i was in tijuana, two mexican-american women were flirting with me, and then at some point casually referred to me as a white boy. i said no, i am a man. to their credit, they instantly nodded and said yes, you are a man. hopefully they never did it again.
@@noahyeswahhhhhh
I love how every time Sarah comes to Update, she always finds a way to sneak an amusing insult towards Colin 😂😂😂
Colin at a mosh pit wearing his suit is such as funny image
It’s in her contract.
They're definitely banging
What was the joke here? White boy of the year?
At this point, I'm pretty certain it's because she has an unhealthy romantic obsession with him. This is probably the first time she's been on update and she hasn't said something that's either innuendo or borderline sexual harassment to him.
Not a single D'you know what I mean...Not a single biblical...Just a whole lotta legend for some reason.

The writers were obviously not oasis fans
No Man City mentions, either.

Shocking fffiinnn shocking
@@willem9538 This skit is a 0/10.
Didn’t even throw in any “Ya know what I mean” in there. Did they even watch any interviews or anything with them 😅
They only hear the song Wonderwall 😂
Thank you.

Colin read “I got tickets…” like he was in a hostage video.
Noel and Liam sounding suspiciously like they were born and bred selling on the veg stall down East Street Market

In all seriousness any interview with either Noel or Liam is ironically funnier than this comedy sketch. Those guys come up with a lot of funny natural answers on the spot. This sketch is bobbins.

The actual way the beef started with Noel’s record player is much funnier than what they came up with
i thought it was because liam swung a guitar at noels head? thats how noel tells the story, and i believe it 100%. liam is exactly the kind of guy who will abuse any kind of power he is given. hes the poster kid for unapologetic meglomaniacs.
@@noahyesI believe Vanessa is referring to the infamous piss Liam took on Noel's stereo. And she's right, that would've been infinitely more funny than this.
@@noahyes Nope. That was the last straw. It began when they shared a room, Liam came home without turning the light on, and he accidentally peed on Noel's brand new, expensive stereo.
I think every time Noel and Liam crack a joke or tell a funny story, it’s several dozen times more funny than whatever this was trying to be 🫠
This was like watching Aliens try and make comedy about Humans. Humans go boom boom. Humans all sound same.

Yep very offensive and lame.
I see Dick Van Dyke is the dialogue coach for SNL now then.
I didn't know Oasis was even known in the US. Judging by the London accents SNL aren't that familiar either.

I can't decide if the terrible accents make it better or worse. I keep thinking of the way Paul Rudd said Liverpool in Dewie Cox. It was so over the top but also accurate. This is over the top but not even close to a manc accent.

They missed an opportunity to actually try to nail the impersonations instead of hamming them up.
The dialogue would have been way funnier if played straight.
But the zaney weird dialogue matched the overtop impersonations and there was no contrast in the joke.
Playing this deadpan and accurate with the same weird zaney dialogue would have been really good.

Ahh, that was painful. Mancs in general are a goldmine of comedy, and these two alone have given the world decades worth of material to laugh at. And we get this bizarre, half baked "oy bruv" accent? This is like an English person doing an impression of Adam Sandler and using a Louisiana accent
I’m cracking up at the irony of the Brits here missing (and kind of confirming) the entire point of the sketch by complaining about the accent. It’s yet another great example of petty British smugness and lack of self-awareness, which is exactly how Americans perceive the Oasis feud.
Well tbh most Brits are still living 200 years behind the rest of the world and think that everything revolves around them... And somehow never notice that nobody likes them. Most Oasis fans need crutches and have bedtime at 10pm anyway so who cares anyway.
Exactly!
It’s just incredibly lazy. You have to have knowledge of a topic in order to do a good parody. They didn’t put any effort into trying to do a real impression. They just decided to wing it without writing any jokes or learning anything about the band.
I’m an American, but I know the difference between a Manchester accent and a fake Cockney accent (that isn’t very good anyway). Would you laugh if you saw a British person doing an impression of Obama and they gave him a Texas accent? I’d just be confused…

If it was funny (or researched beyond 2 brothers from England who were in a band in the 90s that split up because they argue a lot), it would probably get some praise. But it wasn't funny and wasn't researched.
