Considering your amazing skill and your capability for speed, I appreciate the fact that you use the double bass sparingly. If you used the double bass constantly (as you no doubt could do), that would be an impressive physical feat; but it would make the music tiresome to listen to. I am so pleased to see that you possess a musician's approach to doing what is best for the song. By contrast, many other virtuosi (whether drummers or guitarists) often perform more like acrobats than like musicians, totally ignoring the feel of the songs. Keep up the great work. You are bringing beauty into the world.

I’ll be 52 in July , my Drumming heroes were Simon Phillips, Stewart Copeland, Phil Collins, Keith Moon, Bruford, Colaiuta, Gadd, Hakim..etc. This is a new approach that combines on what they have taught and makes me wish I could start anew.

I just picked up your drum heads from Remo’s site (they were actually cheaper than most and had them in stock.) although I was sad they don’t come in an 18in floor Tom size but I totally understand that an 18in floor Tom is rare. However I’ve been an evans guy since day 1 and while I’ve had to use Remo I’ve always preferred evans. I’m not sure if it’s the art or what but the Tom heads have the same muffled sound as my ec2’s, I did pair them with Remo ambassador clears for reso’s just to get the full Remo effect and I’m impressed. Also I love the controlled dot on the coated snare!!! Goes great with my 14x6.5 sledgehammer! I didn’t wanna take off my hybrid head but for the sake of keeping it all together I removed my favorite evans snare head lol. I’m super impressed at the sound and how easy it was to tune the toms and the snare. They all seated just perfectly and after a few hours of play there’s a mark or two on the heads but the art is still intact and looking great! Thank you for making such a great drum head! Now if I could only afford the Tama kit you use lol
