Thomas Bryant is a solid backup, good move for Indy. Bryant is a physical body, good rebounder and can space the floor. Negatives are he’s an atrocious defender.
@macattack6054 If you watch his highlights He can actually shot Block as a team defender. He probably is as good as Turner at this point. Turner fell off with blocking shots imo
Is his defense something that could be improved with proper instruction, or is there no hope for that happening with this guy? I haven't seen much of him but have heard some positive things about him. I don't have ridiculous expectations; I just want to know what we're working with here.
i fall under the lebron fan/ laker fan umbrella and i can tell you thomas bryant with minutes is a great role player. when AD was out for weeks at a time, the lebron and bryant duo won the lakers some games against good opponents. granted that was 2 years ago and maybe it was just a good stretch that he can’t replicate, but i’m almost positive that he’s steps above moses brown as a backup center
I was worried they were going to give up too much and overpay in desperation for a backup centers with all of ours out for the year, but this seems like a steal to me for just a second round pick swap.
😂 yeah they have no clue how to roster build.. Bryant has been a notoriously bad rebounder and defender.. But typical Pacers front office moves.. Eventually they won't play him like they did Moses Brown here soon.. Could have actually had some good.. but no.
@JimmieCarter-ly4jg it basically is and he is a backup center we got for second round picks...picks that probably don't even make the team in the first place
I don't see anything outstanding with this guy. He is a good serviceable big, with an injury past. That doesn't mean he can't thrive. But this does not move any needle for us. But it will help the load off of our front court
@@dabneyoffermein595 wasn’t throwing shade, just saying we just let him walk so better get someone just like him😅 Bryant actually seems like he could be better at defense with help and possibly rebounding, he’s got a 7’ 6” wingspan which is nuts!😳
@@dariusdina8561 I should have put a laughter icon after that. That's my lame attempt ;) -- Jalen was an elite rebounder, and Bryant has already hit his ceiling, but you're right about defense. I like that he was on the Heat because their coach was not only elite but a stickler for details and did not take anything but a player's 120% effort, especially on defense! In other words, maybe he can teach the Pacers a thing or two!
Moses brown didnt have much skill. He moves in slow motion ,has no jumpshot, and only has one post hook move. Bryant can shoot decent. I don't think he is a shot blocker like Jackson, but Jackson cant shoot lol

Thomas Bryant is a physical player so that's great addition to the team.. Excited to see what he can do to help #YesCers
Heat fan here, Thomas Bryant is a good offensive player and a decent back up big. He’s pretty bad at defense but serviceable everywhere else imo

I agree Pacers made a good move it's looking good for a long playoff run
Just fyi, they couldn't make this trade until he was trade eligible Sunday. It's not actually done, it's an agreement until Sunday.

Welcome to Indiana T.B!
Oh great, we traded for a terrible rebounder and a terrible Defensive C. Exactly what we needed. 👏
No he's better than his stats look. Know your stuff.
he's not too good but he's all we had to work with. he might be better than Moses by maybe one rebound
If you watch his highlights he is a pretty good shot blocker.
@@dylandurnal6544 yeah he’s a good rebounder, but a really bad rim protector.
You think Turner is a good rebounder? He should've been traded 8 years ago, what the management sees in this guy baffles me.
Omg nooooo smh. Sometimes I feel like everyone in the front office including the owners just need to retired asap smh
@@JimmieCarter-ly4jg This doesn't mean they're done trading. If they need to, they'll make a move again.
@@JoeMapes okay coo cause from what I’ve seen I’m not impressed with Bryant. They making feel like the trade is finalized n all

@JimmieCarter-ly4jg you just started watching huh

Dude you don't have a clue nothing wrong with turner😊
........Have you been watching the games? lol
Actually I do I watch every game. When turner isn't in there the opposing teams constantly attack the paint.
Ppl hate Thomas Bryant because he’s 27 years old but looks like an old man 😂
🔥🔥💯💯
So is Wiseman going to the Heat? Is he part of this deal… I’m so confused 😢
Pacers have agreed to just trade away a future second round pick
@@sharlenekymani we won’t know until tomorrow but I heard that rumor too

Thomas will be fine. Some very dumb pacer fans in these comments.
Don't we also have to send a player back to make the money work?
I don't think so he's on a vet minimum deal
nah bc we got the injured player exceptions from jackson and wiseman
we waived moses brown to be able to pull this off
He’s Jalen smith but worse at rebounding lol 😅
dude, you throwin' shade at Jalen?

No he's not lol
Yeah he will be the starter and Turner will go to 2nd unit...lol
