Begode released new charging boards for the master, you should see if you need and can get one through your retailer if you haven't yet. This is the board that has the charging and battery connectors. Its supposed to help with balancing and prolonging the batteries.
I have the S18 also. It is my first and only wheel. Having it for 6 months, I already want more acceleration and speed along with more range. 45 mph would be nice with about 50 mile range. I have gotten into this sport a little late in life. I’m 49. What age are you?
I only ride with a tether on my Master, but I take your point. I do have a finger dinger but its a bit intrusive for people. I slow to a crawl on approaching people and call out to make them aware I'm around. No rush, and I want to set a good impression. :-)

Thanks - my Battery charging board has been replaced from the one supplied, even though my wheel is a relatively recent v3 machine.
