Can’t wait for it to finally arrive.
Looks like it would be great for MMO gaming
Finally found someone who talks about how difficult it is to use the easy shift and the the thumb buttons i thought i had just some baby hands
😂
I just want a new Rival 500
My first impression is this is based off the ultra classic mx518 and g502 mice, which in my very picky opinion have the only shape which feels natural for my hand to rest on.
My only gripe with my old g502 is i missed having extra buttons when playing mmos and this seems to aim to improve that. Definitely look forward to trying this and seeing if my two-decade long relationship with logitech mice have come to an end.
yeah, looking to replace my g502 w this
@@dwayneelizondomountaindewh1465 I have one on the way! If you'd like, I can give you a heads up on how it feels:)
@@guynamedstella Yeah let me know thanks, but it looks pretty sick i'm sure you will like it. Can't go wrong with German engineering.
@@dwayneelizondomountaindewh1465 German engineering is the best
Ultra-light FPS mice have their own category at this point and it's safe to say this was not the "aim" of this mouse to be considered as such.
Mice that I would like to see compared to are the Razer Basilisk v3 and Logitech G502, as they seem to have similar design goals with this one.
Good plan. Thanks.
Beautiful unboxing tho! And you have a cool voice
Thanks. Hope you enjoyed enough to subscribe 🦐
Damn that mans voice is gold !
question about the texture of the mouse, is it razer-ask type (chalky) or is it the same as the roccat kone pro (smooth plastic )
Smooth
I was wondering if I could replace my Roccat Nyth with this one. It looks pretty cool, but I fear it might not have enough buttons to compare with its old cousin... sadge
I love the button layout, very similar to the G700/G700s which is my favorite and current mouse. if only this was wireless.
@Mr. Peanutbutter i sure hope so. I will 100% buy a wireless version though i am seriously considering the white wired version for my home server lol
@@Ataraxia_Atom Wireless version being released tomorrow
Did you buy the wireless version?! I loved the G700 too! I am considering today picking up the wired kone xp today, with the amount of lighting I feel like battery may not be great on wireless
@@radlink14 I'm still rocking my G700s but im 100% going to get the wireless Kone XP when a good deal comes up
@@Ataraxia_Atom I got the Kone XP air, I am digging it but I am liking the feel of the naga pro more however prefer the weight of the xp air!
Titan switches are just rebranded TTS switches, I think they're in cooler master mice as well.
I wonder, is there a way to add some weights to it?
How are you supposed to hold down the easy shift button with your thumb and then be able to press the 4 side buttons at the same time? Seems like not very good design.
@@mikerochburns4104 That might be the idea but that's not how they advertise it. They say pressing the lower button where the thumb rests is the "Easy shift" button that gives you access to 29 buttons in total. A much better design for this would have been to have the "Easy shift" button be a toggle that when pressed once it activates the second profile and when pressed again it reverts back to the first profile. This way you're not having to keep the button depressed and thus making accessing all 29 buttons they advertise, possible.
These lights synchronize with the Roccat keyboards. If you're going to do RGB, synchronized looks so much better. Inside the case, same story.
Case fans, video card and cooling block, with synchronized led's looks absolutely sick, especially diffused led's. If they were all doing different colors, it would look strange.
Roccat Kone XP wireless on a stand that would be the ultimate.
You're not wrong. Wireless would be awesome.
Would love to see it compared with the Pro X superlight
👍
that's an fps mouse. This is an MMO mouse.
I have unfortunately had the exact same problem with 2 separate roccat mice…. Mouses??? Anyway. The scroll wheel on both felt like there was sand in them and the scroll click stopped working within a week. 1 mouse ok fine but 2 with the exact same problem? That’s kinda weird and seems like some terrible QC at the company.
No idea, I have plenty of Roccat products and been using them for years with no problems.
@@jcbuk2us I’m glad you’ve had good luck with yours!! I have found razer mice hold up the best for me personally.
@@Frogstoney every hand and preference is different. I find I love the Kone line from Roccat best. I am glad you have a mouse you like.
Awesome video!! Awesome mouse!! Are you able to compare it to the Kone Pure Ultra?
I've not tried that one I'm afraid. 🫣
The only thing I want on honest review off is the mouse wheel. I love my Kone Aimo, but I'm using it with a broken mouse wheel. Its a years old problem with Roccat where you need to go and open the mouse and fix it yourself. The fault where after some time you scroll down but go up instead, or where one tik of scroll becomes impossible. There's multiple video's on how to 'fix' it on youtube, and while they work, they do void warranty and they don't work forever. The fiddly little metal 'clamp' inside the mechanic of it will break if you go and repair it. Its super fragile and can only bend so many times.
As I said its an old problem that spans multiple generations of roccat mice, sadly the kone series as well. And I think its time for them to acknowledge but most importantly solve this issue. So can we have an honest answer to that?
Huh weird. Sadly I've not seen that so can't comment on it and obviously it's new so not broken.
The scroll wheel issues have been fixed.
I had two kones for the last 10 years almost and they never had a broken wheel... only changed due to double click + surface finish. My 2 cents: click lighter :)
I had the same problem with a previous Roccat model. I don't have this problem so far with this mouse. Hopefully it's fixed.
I would buy it if it weigh less.
I would have replaced my Basilisk Ultimate with this but it's wired. No thanks.
A bit too heavy for today's lightweight trend tbh, but oh well it's still the legendary Kone shape.
Yeah. Honestly it doesn't feel as heavy as it sounds. I was surprised when I weighed it
imo if you play any games, this mouse is not good for you.
🤔🤔🤔
@@TheProvokedPrawn it's not optimal, you can't reach the top side buttons while gaming and that button on the bottom of the mouse is just a big red flag cause you'l prob hit it once you are grippin the mouse, I think this is should be towards productivity rather gaming.
