5 proper bigboy mods on my DRZ:- 1. Fcr 39mx carb. 2. Hotcams Stage2 or alternatively DRZ E model cams. 3. Athena bigbore kit. 4. Trailtech Vapor Speedo. 5. Brembo 4pot brake caliper with 320 wavey disc. If you don't have those, you don't deserve a DRZ!! 😁👍

About to mod my drz400 :) super moto conversion, Rear lights, front fender, front lights, seat, graphics, exhaust and header. Then maybe some engine stuff after :) But I like your videos. Keep it up 👍
@@UrbanMoto I also just bought the 2021 Drz 400 SM I’m trying to get the yoshi RS2 exhaust but most of the exhaust for sale say fitment between 2000-2020 will a 2020 exhaust fit a 2021?
stock carburetor with no jetting runs faster. I go over 100 miles per hour. I tried aftermarket carb and different jets but nothing like stock. Stock Exhaust sounds bad indeed but I would use a slip on instead just for the sound.
Sure! Why wouldn't they be considered "Mods" Modifications? Wouldn't anything you add over stock be considered a mod? Also I would argue exhaust and carb jetting would be mods right?
I’ve got a bunch of videos but new since then. Tail rack / headlight / rsc cluctch. Check out my instal video on the JNS headlight and I have a link in the comments there. Thanks for watching!
haha! Honestly man the tidy tail is not great. Still on the bike, still works great but it was an ebay special. At some point i'll switch it all over to TST Industries as I absolutely love their products!
@@UrbanMoto ktms are alright as long as you dont mind having a serious relationship with the dealer. they're good bikes but definitely not as reliable as others
Appreciate the comment! The cool thing is there are tons of options out there! In fact I have a new Acerbis front fender being shipped in now. But I love the seat lol I think the main point is the stock seat kinda sucks haha! Thanks for watching!
The jet kit with 3x3 will cause a loss of power, tried it. Pick up a cvk40 carb (klr650 carb), put jets in it and it will wake up the DRZ much better. Also forget the JNS headlight as well, has a piss poor high beam. There are lots of other cheap led headlights on Amazon that work.
Thanks! Appreciate the feedback. Doesn’t seem to be a loss of power, feels a little more responsive in the “butt dyno”. Did you dyno to see power loss? I’ll check out the different carbs as well. Installed the JNS a few videos after this one. Honestly the high beam does kinda suck but low beam is nice with a good spread. I’ll keep it for a bit. But yea I have seen some far less expensive options. Thanks for stopping by the channel!
@@UrbanMoto No I didn’t dyno but there was a noticeable loss with the jet kit. The FCR39 carb is very expensive that’s why I went with the CVK40 and I’m glad I did. The hardest part was actually installing it. Its a 4mm larger carb and a very tight squeeze. I wasn’t trying to criticize your mods just save people money. I tried doing some of the same ones you have and wasn’t impressed with either the jet kit or the JNS so I went a different route.
@@The_Kayak_Guy. all good my dude :) was truly asking. I'll look into the carb. I haven't had any issues yet but i'll stay close to it. May switch carbs down the road! Ride safe brotha!
#1 Many dyno test results and the vast majority of DRZ owners will tell you you're wrong # 2 More air + more fuel does not = less power #3 you definitely effed something up if you had less power after 3x3 and jetting lol
@@gonadiator you obviously aren’t a mechanic are you? #2 is wrong because you aren’t adding more air, just more fuel, and that WILL cause you to lose power. The 3x3 mod isn’t doing much at all anyway, considering the choke points are the 36mm carb, intake valves and exhaust manifold. There is more power to be had running lean but most don’t because of the dangers of melting rings and pistons.
How do you like your mirrors? I tried some after market ones and I literally couldn’t see a fucking thing. Put the stockers back on. Now I’m thinking about checking out the handle bar mounted mirrors. Do you recommend?
Absolute garbage! BUT you have to have them to pass inspection soooooooo.... Best bet is to get something sleek and smaller and use the standard mirror slots.

If you're asking where you can get the exhaust. I would check Revzilla, Ebay, and even Amazon.
