If you open up the little black box on the spool where it reads AutoMag, you will see 4 spring loaded buds. I believe this is the centrifugal component in the dual braking idea. The faster the spool spins, the further those black buds are pushed out towards the gold ring on the brake pad on the side plate, and hopefully rub on the ring to slow down the spool. However, I doubt the black buds will be pushed out far enough just by me compressing the springs... it's very tricky to put them back once you take the springs out so be careful. I just got mine and very excited to take it out for a casting test. great video man!
Wow thanks for the knowledge, they seem to be definitely targeting this to a wider audience with the user friendly braking. Hopefully I can test mine in the next couple of days
@@yep.fishing im in us i use heavy medium rods i use alot of kastking rods spring time i use chatterbaits summer i use topwater frogs fall i do bfs lures
Yea nice, good to familiarise myself with what you are doing over there. I live on the coast but also am close to lakes and rivers so I’m usually just targeting different species rather than changing lure selections.
I knew you’d say “reel handy” because you’re a dad. I’m more a fan of stealthy gun metal or darker colours with the occasional coloured accent. I do however looooove iridescent soft plastics. They definitely catch more fish in my opinion haha. Not a bad reel though, apparently kastking you can’t go wrong for quality control.
I generally like black, gun metal is better than silver for sure but black just pairs with rods so much better. I can change the handle knobs colours and line colour to suit the rod. This will live on the matching royal legend rod though
This reel looks like something closer to what i would use. My all rounder setups catch squid, whiting, flathead, pinkies/ snapper. Can do it all on 1 combo long as the snapper doesn't get to big 😂. Looking forward to seeing what rod you pair it with and getting that chinook would be cool. Do i foresee video catching a squid, then catch a snapper/ pinky in the same day? 👌👍
Yea maybe. I want to get in the kayak soon at my local pinkie spot. Might leave a sleeper jig out there, not sure how many squid are there, not a lot of weed beds, it's 80/20 sand. Maybe when I go to another spot where I caught the squid of the beach. I definitely want to get the kayak there now that I'm confident to take it out in the salt in some less protected locations.
Looks good, casts ok-ish. Mine was very overbraked, much like the one in this video. I have no idea if its dependable on unit. I could cast 4g lure without thumbimg while breaks were set to 0. Distance thrown was half of what I got with my other BFS reels
Yea definitely not a BFS reel, over braked ..maybe but then again the Bass boys in the US are generally throwing some pretty heavy stuff on it. I was casting a metal vibe which I think is around 6g on 0. I think 5g or so would probably be the lowest assuming it's on a light enough rod.

Nice... love the colours 😍
Yea I like it, something a bit different
Now time to get the Royale Legend rod to match it!
That's the plan, rod looks pretty nice, especially the handle
This going be my next reel
Nice. Are you in the US? LMB fisherman? What weight lures will you be throwing and in what type of rod?

Aesthetically it reminds me of the Bullzen Joker a bit
Nah, the joker is a rip off of another reel I have :) black knight 2. (Joker….dark knight)
@ the adjustable centrifugal brake in the Joker is really nice, especially for accuracy
Oh I didn't know the braking system was like that on the joker. The black knight 2 just has FTB

I have one word for that reel, starts in S and ends in EXY the only improvement would be orange accents!
Light green would be nice, light blue, purple ..all good options
@@yep.fishing Are you getting the rod?
Yea I the Royale Legend 3 has 2 tips so I'll get the 8ft most likely. Use it for heavy lures in salt water
