I feel like I’m at a fork in the road ‘cuz, I feel like I try and try but I feel like there’s a disconnection between my brain and hands. I feel that no matter how much I try but it feels like my fretting hand has hit a brick wall. I get but so far with speed and then BAAM! I don’t get any faster. I’m not trying to go Malmsteen fast, just fast enough to play your typical hair Band lick. Like most of the licks you play. It kinda feels like my brain stutters as an as I start a lick. I can almost NEVER play a lick from start to finish. I start with the first 2 or 3 notes then I pause and start over. I’m so frustrated. I sometimes feel like maybe Guitar isn’t my instrument. I also play Bass and Drums. I’m no Matt Sorum but I can hold a beat Anna I can play a few LAMB OF GOD songs. What can I do?

    This guitar looks good and fancy. It is like poor man's Suhr Modern or Ibanez AZ. Ahem, I meant to say "value product". Not sure about mahagony neck though, but I guess they made it right.
    I got old Ibanez RG321 and as far as I know, it's made by Cort. It has better quality than other more expensive Ibanez guitars I had.
    Also CorTek pots and switch were better than CTS pot and Schaller megaswitch I later installed on this guitar. No joke whatsoever, just cannot lie to myself. I love Schaller Megaswitch and the tone options I get, but sometimes it might just stuck between positions (and I either get no sound from guitar, or in one weird place I get single-coil sound which shouldn't be there by design), while stock CorTek switch never had such issue, it just never stuck between positions.
    CTS pot became scratchy in a couple of years while stock CorTek pot was doing fine for like 10+ years.

      I don't really know how to answer that. What's the best for me might not be the best for you as a player. For me, my needs are simple since I don't use a whammy bar much. To me, they all do their job equally well. In some respects a brand like Charvel depsite me loving their guitars dearly, they are slightly behind Cort and Harley Benton because of the lack of stainless steel frets for example. What are you looking for? narrow it down for me...

    I think they have made a mistake by bumping up their prices. They should always be "the one trustable brand" to give us affordable high quality instruments like they always used to.

      They still do. They're just upping their game to suit customers that want something a little higher spec'd. Not a bad thing if you asked me, I was blown away by how good these Corts are.

    Core makes all the Schecters and did the Ibanez I believe.. They aren't newcomers whatsoever.. The guitar really rocks and seem of profesional quality level.. The main issue with them has to do with ethics when it comes to employee welfare and treatment.. Pretty horrible stories.. Hopefully, they cleaned up their act..

    Another Charvel by Cort, uh?! I'd rather pick up an ESP even if I'm not spanish, I'm pretty tired of that second hand Hong Kong made at night thing. Namastè.

    I got the G300 pro last year and to this day I can’t believe how good these are. Not just “for the price”.
    I’m not sure the frets are jumbo, just medium-jumbo. The neck is fairly thick, I would say almost a deep C but… it feels a joy to play.
    Underrated? 100%

      @CameronCooper  10 місяців тому

      Cort's own guitars are underrated. Not the other brands they happen to make. A lot of people play Cort manufactured guitars and probably don't even realise it

      @@CameronCooper true but if you buy a import it's coming from the big 3 unless Chinese. The big 3 are Cort , Sammick , and World music instrument Corp . I want to know who is manufacturing out of India I've got a indian Dean and it is well built even has big pots
