Don't mind the gap:) Rail-EZ installation key points.

The Rail-EZ is designed to hold on 3 Key Points and it will be VERY secure.
1) The front plate should meet the front of the railing
2) The Locking Pin should come up and fit snugly under the railing
3) Either the back plate touches the back of the railing OR the front of the bottom plate touches the baluster or railing rungs, and in some cases, this can produce a gap between the railing and the back plate. This is NOT a problem as long as the front of the bottom plate is making contact with the railing or rungs
