They're a surprisingly good unit. I've got the 36cm one I think it is. Threw a 9ah battery in it and it does my standard block no worries with enough charge left to go around with the line trimmer. Here's a tip, for really long grass, you can cut it. Just pop a wheelie so the mower is on it's back wheels only so it basically increases the cutting height. Make a pass like that then another pass on all 4 wheels. I get patches that grow way faster (like under the clothes line) than other areas so often have some 6"+ tall stuff to deal with and this does it no worries.
apsilonblue bloody awesome stuff👍 how good are the 9ah batteries? Are they worth the extra? Been wondering about those .. thank you for watching 👍 really appreciate it 👍🍻🍻
@@EFFICIENTSELF The 9ah are great if you need them. I don't use them for tools as rarely need the run time but for the mower or light, inflator etc when camping it's pretty good.
*This mower....... changed my life **Bestfor.Garden** also recommend I never thought I would see the day when I would ever make the switch to electric yard tools. But this was one of my best decisions yet. My old 15+ year old gas mower snapped its pull string while trying to get it to fire up and instead of fixing it, I chose to upgrade instead.*
had this mower over 2 years now and I don’t regret changing to 18v lithium. no more mucking around worrying about fuel and maintenance. thanks for watching 👍🍻
BTW i had a mower where the pull cord device on the mower was stuffed but the mower was good you can get rid of it and use a battery drill to start motor ! just cut a round hole over the centre to allow the drill and a socket to enter ..why i never did this before !
Thank you for this. I have the older version that takes two 18v batteries so I assume it's 36v. A friend now wants one and I was concerned the single 18v battery may not have enough guts, it appears it will do just fine. Cheers!
hlou try another battery as I have had a battery fail and it still showed 3 lights to indicate charge but failed to work. If you still got warranty contact ryobi or take back to Bunnings . Other than that I’m sorry as I never had any problems . Hope you get it sorted out . Thanks for watching 👍🍻
Never really let my grass get too long . My guess is it would struggle. If you let your grass get too long before you cut it, maybe consider 36v or better still go a petrol (gasoline) engine. Thanks for watching 👍🍻
Cut the grass regularly and don’t let get too long this mower is perfect. There is pretty much no maintenance for this mower. Perfect if you have a small lawn to maintain.
Be careful with your hands under electric lawn movers. I have heard they can give a pulse to the engine as a reaction on moving on the blade. If that can happen to 230v ones it might aswell on those. Guessing but better safe than sorry😊
Just bought this mower today from Bunnings and I don't regret it
Awesome 👍 mine is still going strong 💪. Thanks for watching 👍🍻

mine still going strong 💪 no issues. great mower if you have a small yard and you mow regularly. thanks for watching 👍🍻
Bunnings dont care...Ryobi will where the cost and old mower will go to landfill as cant be resold......
Mine is same as yours, got an issue, always shuts off randomly, battery is good and fully charged, any suggestions?

Is this mower good at cutting long, thick grass? Can it cope with relative ease?

@@EFFICIENTSELF thanks for the quick replies.
Merry Christmas 👍🍻
Why are you not sharpening the blade? A sharp blade cuts the grass blade cleanly and your lawn will look extra beaut!
It’s still cutting great but thanks for the reminder 👍 thanks for watching 👍🍻
It's a blokeslife
Hey mate, just wondering if I have a blue couch (thicker couch) how do you think the cylinder mower will go? Or is it horse shit? 😂
MrKizzame yup 😂

Great advice. Thanks for watching 👍🍻
Always kill the power before working on any mower. Unplug it, or remove the battery, or kill the engine.
