I recently got into golf over quarantine (it’s one of the only things that you can play) I’ve been playing twice a week for 4 weeks now. The hardest thing I’ve understood about getting into golf is affordability. Clubs and Playing price. And I think that’s what wrong with golf is that is expensive to get started. And your videos have helped. I’m a baseball player so it’s a hard adjustment. I’ve been watching every single one of your videos on tips and tricks and today I played a 18 hole, and hit a 22 over. Thank you for all the tips it really helps.
Rick, been watching your videos for about a month now and I have went from consistent high 90's to low 80's and continue to improve. You are the man! Keep up the good work!
I tried this today and it really helped a lot to keep from stubbing chips. It also added consistent air time from the same distance. Now I don’t have to worry as much about which direction grass is growing. Excellent tip for the amateur golfer. Not sure how this works when you use lower lofts to create one third air time and two thirds runners.
thank you Rick ,have been watching you since i started playing which at 69 was a late bloomer, but all your videos have been such a great help. keep up with all the good things you do.
I have been watching your videos but have not played in a month or so. I finally got out yesterday and tried using some of the things I learned from a few of your videos. Started off sketchy, but what I soon found was I never duffed a chip because of this video, I sliced less and straightened out my drive because of your slicing video where you talked about cocking the wrist slightly and I was also hitting the irons straighter (almost had my first ace!). Thanks Rick, enjoying the videos! Can't wait to learn more and get back out there.
Great video Rick thanks. Couldn’t chip the ball but hit it yes but chip it no. Until I watched your video. I went straight outside tried your technique and sure enough it worked. Thanks for the tip.

Wow this works great . I watched this video last night . I played 9 holes today and im hardly ever on the green in regulation . I had 4 one putts for par today after chipping on . This technique is so simple and it really works
something i have using for about 6 months, fell upon this while practicing with 8 iron , just picked up pw playing around in the house trying to go from one room to another with out breaking anything or hitting walls.some how managed to hit it toe down and the ball went straight to my intended target.its been fun working this way,at 72 yrs young its fun to play and find new ways to score .
This helped me so much today at my local pitch and put. I’m fairly new and sometimes I overcompensate to try and get a little air. This stopped me using my bad habits. Just let the club do the work for me. Thank you!
Rick, thank you sir! I tried your technique and it worked, got up and down the two times I used it. Hoping that it will save me some strokes so I can break 80 more often. Appreciate your help, keep up the good work.
This video saved me from giving up the game.. My short game was horrible! This works!! you actually can hit it high and far without adding much speed.. I stopped skulling the ball.. Thankyou, thank you
Rick! I came back to this video to thank you for this tip. It has helped me shave a fair few shots off my handicap and I even managed to bag a couple of chip in eagles for the first time ever. Thank you!!
Loved the 8 iron chipping advice. I’m 41 and I’ve actually been doing that since my grandpa taught me that. Just said feel the weight of the club and swing like you’re putting, just with more power. I’ve chipped in quite a few runners from 30-40 yards. But this piece of advice is a good 1 too mate, same theory anyway, OK, ALRIGHT, LETS GIVE IT A GO. SIM MAX OS IRONS ARE $. Hitting my 7 168. THATS 10 more yards than normal.
Hit a 5 iron 192 pin high on the fringe. That’s actually a good chipping tool as well. If you feel any club, the 70 yard shot can be used with almost any iron.
I've always had an issue with chipping, either hit it too hard and overshoot the green , or not hard enough and fall way short. I tried your technique on Saturday. Very first time I tried it, nice straight shot about 30 yards outs and hit the pin. I thank you for this video!! It is definitely going to improve my game!
I struggled with my chipping on Sunday, will definitely give this a go next round - I’ll head to the club early and warm up with chips, putts. Cheers Rick

If it’s on the fringe or the border of the rough.... yup
Tried the technique and worked every time. this guy is real good at explaining and making it simple and easy to remember.
Now if I can just carry you around while I golf... 😂😂
You now can! Carry around Rick right in your pocket! UA-cam on the smartphone. You’ll start to take 10 minutes between shots but your score will plummet as well!
Thanks I’ll give it a try
Rick sheils: Always giving away Expensive clubs.
Experior golf: very slim.
Im new to golf and this technigue has taken 15 shots of my score. Easy, simple and best of all consistent. Best tip iv ever been told. Ty
Who here wishes they could get into the giveaway but can’t because they don’t have Facebook
people still have facebook?
I look at it this way:
It's part of Rick's job to increase viewership. It would be an irresponsible business model not to... that's how you reach people.
It's my job to make him feel bad enough about that business model to send me a Ping G410 with a Tensei Orange 60 shaft.
CP2 wrap grip if it's not too much trouble buddy. 😂😂😂
This is about the only video that I have seen and actually use and it works so well!!!!!!!
Asking people why are they blue:
Stranger: I got money issues
My friend: I got marriage issues
Me: I got chipping issues
Excellent tip! Has resulted in some quality up and downs and yesterday a chip in! Many thanks Rick!
We call that technique “PUTTING”
I just started golfing in March of this year and it’s safe to say I’m completely obsessed
You have no idea how much you have helped improved my score! Thank you so much mate. Massive cheers! 🎉
The person reading this may you have an amazing day and may you stay blessed with your lovely family and may your dreams come true..
My dream is to have 20k.. I been struggling to get there..,,,,.. 😊
You’re not gunna get where you want to be by virtue signalling to god 😂😂😂😂 you gotta work
@@dylanzrim1011 my content is also good, just see once and then tel me if i dont work hard?
Having watched this on Facebook, I tried this out and, to my surprise, it works brilliantly!!! Thanks Rick. Great tip!!!
Thanks Rick. I have been working on this tip the past several weeks, not always perfect by any means (yet), but not "chunking" them anymore.
Went from a 1 handicap 10 years ago to completely losing my short game. Went out and practiced this technique...wow. Best I've chipped in a really really long time. Thank you.
I used your 8 iron bump and run technique in a tournament yesterday and it was magic
That's what I do. ✌️⛳
Literally watched this video, went out and straight after. By doing this it took 10 strokes off my card!!!! Subscriber for life! THANK YOU RICK!!
thank you Rick ,have been watching you since i started playing which at 69 was a late bloomer, but all your videos have been such a great help. keep up with all the good things you do.
Rick, thank you, i was struggling so much with chipping would always duff or hit them fat. This basic tip has transformed how i chip the ball even had a few chip ins because of this!
It really works. Had my best score ever at my local course using this technique. Thank you
That is the most useful technic I have seen. Easy and precise. Thanks.
Absolutely works! Thanks Rick!
This helped me so much today at my local pitch and put. I’m fairly new and sometimes I overcompensate to try and get a little air. This stopped me using my bad habits. Just let the club do the work for me. Thank you!
Thanks Ricky for making this chipping video! You are a blessing!!
Played a round of 9 last week for the first time in over a year. I still remembered this video and this helped massively in my chip shots.
Rick thanks to you I am actually starting to get better at golf. Thank you!
This is the best tip ever, tried it out today with great results, thanks to Rick the master coach
Just used the tip on the course Rick! it helped a lot!! thanks
You helped me so much yesterday!! I did what you said about standing closer and keeping tie in ground. WORKED PERFECT
Awesome video Rick you simplify the golf swing!
I struggled with my chipping on Sunday, will definitely give this a go next round - I’ll head to the club early and warm up with chips, putts. Cheers Rick
