You guys/gals voted and wanted to see smashburgers on my brand new Halo Elite4b griddle. When doing the classic smash burgers I prefer keeping it simple. We are talking a nice soft buttery roll, some cheese, and an 80/20 beef patty, of course loosely packed!

These recipes make about 2 lbs. and fit perfectly in a 33oz shaker.
Put all ingredients in a bowl.. All are measured in cups.
Ingredients for the SPG:
1 1/4 Kosher Salt
2 Coarse Ground Black Pepper
1 1/4 Granulated Garlic
Mix all ingredients into a bowl and add to the shaker. A funnel works great for this.

Tommy!- dude you are costing me a ton of money. I have a weber kettle. I have an offset, I have the Masterbuilt and now I'm gonna have to get a Halo. To do that, I first have to increase the size of my patio. I'll probably have to expand the pergola as well. but seeing the burgers- it will be worth it!!! Thanks for more great content.

That griddle is awesome! The zone heating with 3 burners shows the versatility of the Halo. Smash burgers look delicious. I have some of Neals smash that and it's on so many things! Nice cook Tommy! I see some steak searing coming soon. Cheers brother!

One I have noticed with my halo, is it sure doesnt have a hard time getting hot. But I always use the low setting on the regulator. seems to help a lot. Yes it will still get hot, like any griddle will, but it does better. I do kind of wished I would have gotten the 4b instead of the 3b. But I have also noticed turning the right burner off makes a great warming zone. allows me to slowing cook onions without burning them. But not too cool. My old griddle would get as low as 250 in the front and side, but be over 400 in the center. That is fine and all but I like to be able to have the area to use if I need it and the halo is the best wall to wall i have seen. The weber and Traeger looked to have decent heat coverage too..
Hi Raymond its all about learning and understanding the griddle zones. As a kitchen guy I prefer hot on some recipes. That said when i need it cool i'll know how to get it there. We will both learn the zone game together!

Looks great , question on the griddle is the cart pretty sturdy
10000% sturdy. There is ZERO cheapness with this griddle. Its built like a tank all the way around. I do wish that top steel came in a color. That's my only negative.

Never put oil down for smashburgers on a griddle. You want the meat to stick for a proper malliard reaction. Also 3oz is ideal. Those are also pretty thick for a smashburger. Probably tasted great. But needs some work
