I figured it would be good when I first saw your video. By the aesthetic it's made by the same folks who make the IRL games Paperback and Hardback. There's also a digital version of Paperback that's really fun.
I've played the board games (paperback & hardback) and it's really fun! After watching your video I have high hopes for this game, really interesting!
Quite literally (literary) a choose your own adventure!
Seems It's hard to know the implications of removing or adding certain letters. Also, the abilities are most important so the letters and icons just seems tacked on. That's why I like deck building that just has ability + cost.
This is based on a board game if you guys curiously what the board game is is called "paperback" like this game the board game is a word deck building

It's a little annoying that some of the abilities are useless or even detrimental. Makes you disappointed to see long words that aren't good.

It's from Latin/Greek where the ch is pronounced like a hard c. Ex Machina is a theater term abbreviation from Deus Ex Machina, where a large set piece was used to save a cast member (God lowered from a crane). Literally the God from the machine.
