I appreciate the fact that this isn’t just the Rhett Schull show or a stage for anyone performer to show off. This is great musicians making great live music and every member is contributing something to make everyone better.
For sure, and I think the way it's shot and edited accentuates that ..a lot of times a vid like this would just be on the lead singer 90 percent of the time , but the camera floats around nicely and cuts are tasteful .. nice job all around
She has some amazing stuff out there- check out Suzy Jones wherever you get your music. My favorites of hers are At All, 6 AM, and Tonight. Just crazy talented as all of these musicians are
Incredible. I've been waiting for two days to see this, since the short came out. Suzy was the standout but this entire band was awesome. I love this series
This is my favorite series on youtube. Just the fact that Ms. Jones can hit those Merry Clayton notes, Zach killing it on a Junior, and Rhett letting the spotlight shine on this level of talent makes it so much better. I look forward to every one of these, and this rendition of the consummate anthem of the '60s does it absolute justice. So glad this exists in this day and age.
It's one of them all time great classic Stones tracks, that just never gets old. Anyone who lived through them years and understands the raw emotion these songs have, has a duty to pass it on. We can never let them die. Well done Rhett.
Often we see the talking heads share insightful and helpful technical knowledge for gear or playing. This video is fabulous! It’s Rhett and extremely talented musicians actually performing. Well done! I’d like to see more of these performances. And Rhett humbly gives front stage to these gifted players. Right on!
Rock n roll is the name for the subgenre that was more fifties to mid 60s, Chuck Berry, Elvis, etc. The Stones kept bring it back for decades but this isn't one of the songs
That was some great energy in that room. Great balance of a pure cover and tasteful deviation. Zach and Suzy are truly amazing talents. One of my favorite songs ever and I never got the “that’s wrong” feeling that I thought would be inevitable.
I was wondering how a great bunch of musicians could pull this off well. And the very famous Merry Clayton vocals on the original track came to mind. Wow, wow, wow! Well played by all. Amazing. Superb, and beautifully recorded. But, the vocals from Suzi Jones. Good lord. It stopped my heart. It made me sweat. Keep it on, an keep keeping it on!
Wow! Insert expletive here!! I love this series! Have to say the risqué element of the live one-take nature of these recordings really comes across. Keep them coming please… including the guest artists. Well done to all!!
I saw the Stones Wednesday night in Seattle. Bucket list show for me especially since I am a younger guy and they... Well they are not. They still sound insanely good. This though... This has its own mojo and man gives the song a real shot of energy and live in a cool way!!! Keep it going strong and keep the music alive friends
This was SOOOOO FUCKING GOOD!!! Good on you Rhett, for making such a kick-ass series. I love how it’s so RAW. One take, no silly studio editing (not that that is always a bad thing!😂) but just a band, a song and a recording!
Rhett, these one take, live to tape videos are absolutely excellent. The video is beautiful. The sound is great. The song selection is so fun. You are creating art here and giving others an opportunity to create right alongside you. Great work, man. This is the best of the internet.
I tell ya....Suzy certainly paid attention to how hard Merry Clayton hit those vocals on the original recording. I would say this is Suzys shinning moment here. Zach certainly is in the zone. He has a very laid back delivery, smooth vocals and a timber in his voice that sits perfectly on the layers of guitars. But going over to riff off of Suzys performance, that indulgent moment is well warranted. She put forth a masterful performance. I am in awe. ❤🎉
These Live to Tape sessions are one of the best things on UA-cam. Real playing, real performance, no fudging/cheating.
Couldn't agree more!
Real shit bro
Josh Turner spec 🤘

This woman voice !!!! Sang with all soul !!!! Let it bleed !!!
Never heard of Mr. Person before today, but when he stepped in front of the mic... Zach and Suzy set off a nuclear rock and roll bomb. Wow.
🤘🏽📢⚡️
I've seen the Stones play it live 3 times and each time the experience was otherworldly.
Man, this woman singing raises the hairs on my arms.
Agreed Howie, I just wish her vocals were a tiny bit louder in the first verse.
She has some amazing stuff out there- check out Suzy Jones wherever you get your music. My favorites of hers are At All, 6 AM, and Tonight. Just crazy talented as all of these musicians are

That Gretsch looks and sounds incredible.
Loved that rendition of my favourite Stones song. So good.
This is what it sounds like when a band blows the roof off the place! Wow!! Thank you!
That les Paul jr sounds so freakin good!
real excellent live. Has all the emotion pouring out. Be very proud of this.
Wow, great version of one of the best songs ever written! I like it a lot!
That felt good! Thank you for sharing Rhett.
Guitar tones here are killer. And Suzy did, indeed, nail it.

Holy f*cking s*it. Fantastic vocals. Gave mem goosebumps all over my body. Well done everyone!
Fantastic performances by Zach and Suzy. 👏
that solo + vocals have actually made me emotional and gave me goosebumps. wow
I consider Gimme Shelter to be the greatest pure rock and roll song of all time. No pressure. Edit: Killed it!
I love other bands more than the stones but if someone asked me what rock n roll is I would say gimme shelter
That’s a hard one to top my friend
Completely agree. It crawls in your brain and never leaves. And not my favorite bad.
Rock n roll is the name for the subgenre that was more fifties to mid 60s, Chuck Berry, Elvis, etc. The Stones kept bring it back for decades but this isn't one of the songs
Child in Time by Deep Purple it is also good and they have a better guitarrist than the Stones
That was some great energy in that room. Great balance of a pure cover and tasteful deviation. Zach and Suzy are truly amazing talents. One of my favorite songs ever and I never got the “that’s wrong” feeling that I thought would be inevitable.
Man that was awesome. The sound of the band, the vocals and that junior.... Amazing stuff
Outstanding all round, but Suzy's vocal was something else. Wow thanks so much for sharing 🙏🤗
The energy in that room! Rhett, keep doing this! ❤
Thank you!
Their voices sound so good together. What a great pair. This mix is also phenomenal. Thank you for this amazing music! It’s so alive!!
Top notch cover of one of the great rock n roll classics of all time. Excellent!
Crazy voice and attitude, music is beautiful
Outstanding Bro. Excellent performance from everyone. Keep it up, I enjoy this.

Your singing was so good! Brought this thing to life!
Pretty incredible!
this is an absolutely incredible performance, and also ooooo that gretsch is SWEET
Astounding. The musicians, the vocals, the video work. That is one of the very best cover videos I have ever had the privilege to experience,
That junior sounds gigantic. Great stuff
1 pickup and truth…or something like that
I have not heard of Zack and Suzy before.....Love it.....thanks for giving them some exposure.
This song hits different...what a rendition guys, congrats...
Absolutely thrilling to listen to and watch.

SO sick! Well done everyone - people playing together is more rare than it should be! SO inspiring
The intensity that this recording delivers is insane. Great playing from everyone involved!
Make it all into a record. I’ll definitely buy it. Amazing project 🔥
Wow! Insert expletive here!! I love this series! Have to say the risqué element of the live one-take nature of these recordings really comes across. Keep them coming please… including the guest artists. Well done to all!!
These are all incredible and make me feel inspired.

Woaow... this is absolutely amazing... Great performance by great musicians. Thanks for this superb interpretation.
