- A video showing the steps in how I built a small backyard chicken tractor big enough for 5 laying hens. This is not a step by step but rather pictures showing you the stages in building a Small A-Frame chicken tractor which is a great addition to any small hobby farm or homestead.
I thought you did a great job in both building and producing the tape, thank you for taking the time to share your knowledge and time with us!
My Sentiments Exactly 👍🏼
Nice coop🐔🐔
Nice simple design, but I do have two recommendations. Put plywood or something under the metal roofing, or it will get like an oven inside due to direct sunlight. Also, if you aren't having roosters, you don't need nesting boxes. Chickens will happily lay eggs anywhere, and only need the box if they are going to sit on and hatch a clutch of eggs. No roosters, plenty of eggs, but no baby chicks.
Please post the plan...measurements, etc.
I really like this design and I am a "first-time" builder...really need the step by step instructions...Please!
Thanks,
I love this and Iam going to have it build for my Silkie chickens,
but I wont put them in till they are 2months old.
I wish I had the plans for it because it would be a help
I`m only 85 and so excited...
Thanks so much for sharing.

I would like the plans for this if you have them, very good design!
Indeed. Even some numbers in the description would have been helpful, but I doubt that is happening now.
Great video! Thanks for all the details!!
I love it, i am going to use that design minus the nest box to make something for my rabbits (plus a wire bottom). I want to be able to move my rabbits around my yard easily and give them plenty of space.
Simple and compact design. Would want to make one for me. Thanks.
That's an awesome chicken tractor, something I can build myself. Thanks for making it so easy :-)
I love this, thank you!
This is great! I want something similar but with wheels on one end and a 2 x 4 tongue on the other. I am not planning to leave them in long. Just long enough to get them some fresh grass, move to a new spot of grass.
Nice tractor. We will probably use this design as well.
Looks great
Looks great!
Great man! Thanks! I've made exactly the same!
that is a great idea / thank you.
I like this design. How did it hold up over the years? I'm thinking about building this cos it's just what I need. Thanks for sharing
Great design!!! I too would be willing to purchase step by step detailed plans this coop, Please . . . Is this an option?
Question? Where will the hens roost? Not on the top floor pooping everywhere?
I was hoping for a wheel explanation
nice job i am goin 2 try make 1
I noticed you have the metal roofing going horizontal and not verticle, is there a reason for this? The only reason I ask is if it were verticle you wouoldnt have the ridges holding back rain, snow and leaves. Also do you have the materials list (plans) avalible? Thanks
How much did the hardware cloth cost you? That's the problem I keep running into. The stuff gets expensive quick.
how long did it take to build mate?
How tall is it ??
Do you have a written plans please?
