Thank you. Put the Ukrainian flag 🇺🇦 up in front of my ranch. Their whole history is a story in survival. Against all the odds, they have secretly keep their culture alive. They never surrender. They just get knocked down and get up again. Until victory.
Thank you, kind sir, for making this. It is incredibly important to us to be heard, to be differentiated from the murderours, chauvinistic neighbours. You are doing amazing work. Ukraine's art is full of blood-soaked symbolism, and our anthem is one of the prime examples of that. Authors often wrote their songs and books knowing they might be their last ones in occupation. And you can feel it in the hymn's words - it reflects the slavery we went through, the amount of killed, deported, tortured. And our anthem is not a cry, not a plea. It is a /statement/. You nailed it exactly - it is a message for the future generations while educating them, on what exactly we went through to achieve what we have today.
Thank you for your reaction! Ukrainian anthem was written in 19th century and officially became an anthem 30 years ago. Lyrics Pavlo Chubynskyi, 1862 Music Mykhailo Verbytskyi, 1863
When Nero the psychopath emperor was finally being stabbed to death for his crimes, he uttered after a few minutes: “I am not dead yet” . I wonder if this anthem was inspired by this..

Reaction content is content theft
