Taylor has said that Red has so many different genres of music in it because at the time she wanted to switch to pop music but her label wouldn’t let her so she made an album with Country, pop and rock in it. She said it was her most experimental album.

It's also interesting to see how much her view of "what true love really is like" has changed. If we compare Stay, Stay, Stay to Lover, we see the difference

when it comes to Taylor , my advice is to ALWAYS listen to the deluxe version!! Her deluxe tracks are rarely rejects. for example1989 deluxe tracks are lietrally better than some of the standard 1989 tracks She uses the deluxe tracks to push the sales physical and digital copies

WTNY was like a fun pop star model "it girl" type of song and that was pretty much her persona those days. She cared so much about what people thought of her. And "you are in love" is like a slower less fun song, which would have definetely become less popular just because how the industry works. People rather listen to upbeat dancy song with weaker lyrics than to a lyrical masterpiece that is a slow song.

The only thing i think you didn't caught is the thing in The last time where they say 'this is the last time', it is never the last time, it keeps repeating itself because it's a desperate moment and they're not able to say it for the last time.
