Mam, thank you so much for the info, i will facing a phone interview for the post of cabin crew soon and i would really appreciate if you could help me out with how i can be able to impress the HR.thank you
My in person interview was changed to a phone interview. I’ve got my interview in an hour for my dream job after being out of employment for 3 months. Wish me luck please!
Tone of your voice. Energy and confidence. Listen to what is being asked. Take time to answer. Take it as a conversation. Make them like you. Make them want to meet you. Have clear answers. Do not ramble. Be clear and concise. Prepare you answers ahead of time. Get points across. Record your voice. 3rd thing they look for is technical fit. Knowledgeable qualified and a right fit. Be sure the role is appropriate for you. Most importantly they look at your resume. They assess you in the phone interview. Make sure your resume is top notch. They will be comparing you to other candidates through your resume.
What if this your first every job with no work experience at all how can you compete cause I feel it’s twice as hard for people who never work before and trying
Right, because an interview is merely a likeability contest, and your merit/competence has nothing to do with getting hired. It's all about how likeable you are.
00:41 - Demonstrate energy and confident. 02:24 - Give clear, concise and articulate answer. 04:56 - Make sure you are the right ‘technical fit’. 06:22 - Have a top-notch resume.
Perfect. just have to be exactly what im not at this point of my Life heh ffs 🫣😳. I WiLL WIN A PROPER JOB NOT THE shoddy crup I've suffered in 🙏🏼 thanks
What I hate is when prospective employers call you and catch you out of guard, instead of email you and let you know that they are going to call you to perform a phone interview. That happened to me few days ago.
If anyone ever did that to me, I'd mention to them that I'm with my family (children, mom, doctor's office, etc.) right now and would like to know a good time to call back.
I had an English phone interview last week and it was a mess, because I was not prepared for it. I got so nervous, so English is not my first language. They just called me and started the questions. My mind was completely blank. It was a frustrated experience for me. If there is a second opportunity, I hope to be more prepared after watching your video. Thank you very much!
I had a bad experience too, cause English is not my first language and I was so nervous. I just gave a lot of fast answer n I didn’t had time to think. See ya
It has happened with me as well...it was frustrated phone interview...I did know how to say, but at that time, I forgot everything because I was nervous..and also English is not my first language
This video helped me a ton! It is good to write down your answers and say them out loud. I was asked questions on the phone and was able to answer right away with confidence. The last 5 minuets of the call I was saying "thank you" over and over again because I was getting compliments on how confident and experienced I came across as! Write it down, your cv/resume is your sales pitch! Know it inside and out!!!!
You mean we write our answers to paper while we are listening to question? I think it is complicated, and it can affect understanding of question precisely.
I have a general interview question. I had a Zoom interview yesterday, and my interview was with a panel of 3 people that included an HR person. For the most part I felt like I was giving solid answers to the questions that the interviewers had for me. When it came to me asking questions, I asked one question I thought was very relevant; "What goals and expectation does this department have for someone filling this role? What does success look like for someone who is in this position?" I think that is a fair and relevant question to ask. Believe it or not, you know what I got in response? : "That would be a question to ask the hiring manager if you are selected for the second round." .........How does a search committee not know what success in this role looks like? I was interviewing for a Disability Specialist position at a college in NYC by the way. Should I read into this as a red flag that the interviewers do not know what outcomes they want to see performing in the role? Perhaps you have some valuable feedback to contribute.
The fact that I’m watching this because I get anxious talking on the phone when the job I’m interviewing for is to answer phones for customer service lmao
Hey Linda, I had a phone interview this morning and wanted to tell you that your information not only was very helpful, but it was spot on. Your content is relevant and fresh and exactly aligned with the questions being asked. I felt prepared and think it went well. Thanks
Hello Linda! I just can't thank you enough for all of the amazing tips you provide in your videos. I got hired! In less than a week I've had 3 phone interviews and they were amazing. Once again, thank you very much for all the support! And for the people who still continue looking for a job or will have upcoming phone interviews, it's a matter of anticipation, prepare yourself with time, practice a lot! Record yourself! Repetition is the mother of skill, mastery comes by continued repetition! Always trust on yourself! Good vibes for all of you!!
My biggest mistake during the phone interview is using my resume as a script while on the phone. The recruiter could also be looking at your resume in the other line to see if you're being original with your responses.
@rocky mountain lass When you are about to pay someone 4k a month, you need to make sure they know what they are doing. STAR method shows them what kind of experiences you had in the past that would be a good addition to them.
About to conduct my second phone interview for a position I know I am excited and a good fit for. They are calling in 45 min and i am just freshening up on some tips...so I do appreciate this video! Wish me luck! :)

I’ve met several people in this organization already to at least get my resume a look so that feels great. I’m looking at this video to enhance my deliverance to be the best phone interviewer I can be!

So much to remember . Seems like when I think I feel confident about my phone interview I tend to chock up and get all panicky and forget my answers. Anxiety sucks 😒
Some people have terrible speaking ability. I'm one of them. Fill out for jobs you don't even want just so you can get practice and be comfortable and know the type of questions they usually ask and how to respond.
Excellent! One of, if not THE, best advice I’ve found on UA-cam. Very calm, put me at ease as I prepped for a big interview, and I’ve found all of Ms. Raynier’s videos are of equal, high quality. Five stars, if I could rate her, and I HIGHLY recommend her to all job/career seekers.
during the phone interview, are going to ask the same question like "tell me about yourself?" " why do you want to work for our company?" what are the common questions during phone call?
Linda, so many useful tips! I especially like that you mentioned the importance of the tone of your voice during a phone interview. This is actually a video I was prepping to script this week. He! He! What a small UA-cam world. I love viewing your input on the topic.
I just had a successful interview but I messed up the first question and just picked my self up and started over. The rest was great maybe a few literal face palms but I was confident.

I was watching this video because I was unsure about my phone interview that I had this morning. And I just checked my email and they are asking for another interview! Thank you for your videos it is very helpful.
That 4th point about resumes was an eye opener. I've always wondered why recruiters call me for 1st interview just to be looked down on for lack of experience mid-call.... now I know why.
Hi Linda, I have a phone interview scheduled for later today and I am taking your advice on tips 1-3. Tip number 4 has me a little concerned because I have a two-page resume and while the second page is very relevant to the job requirements, the first page might seem more obscure and not as relevant. I hope that following your guide on tips 1-3 will probe the interviewer to ask how the first page pieces are relevant to the job. Great video and I liked and subscribed!

I have a phone screening tomorrow. I've never had one before so I'm a tad nervous. I'm interviewing for a position that I currently do at another company (direct competition, at that). This video did help secure some things that I already had a gut feeling about. Thank you.

I have constantly listened to you for weeks now , I'm relocating to the West Coast to be with my Family and i definitely need to land a job in my higher paying career to make this great. Your videos far surpass all that i have watched. Thank you and know that you are truly helping millions of people to improve their lives through preparation and confidence boosting throughout the hiring process.
I've been trying to get another job. After 4 years I finally got a good job. 9 months later I was laid off, I got immediate interview afterwards. I found that I got the first, second, and third round. The fourth and final interview I got a no because they felt I didn't communicate myself very well.
I wish I saw this before my phone interview:( I got so nervous I felt like I was even stuttering during the interview. It was horrible specially for an agent type position I had apply at!!! I normally do well but it was a bad moment 😳
Thank you Linda. Your advice and suggestions have helped me to get a job promotion after a struggle of 2 years. Thank you so much. I will recommend you to friends and family.
It blows my mind that there are people who gave this video thumbs downs!! All she does here is giving a great and useful information (not to forget: it's FREE), and all you guys need is to like it or move on. Giving this kind of video (a useful informational video) a thumbs down is just CRUEL and it's almost a subtle bullying.
Hi Linda, Good Video. I have a phone interview tomorrow and I plan on taking your advice. I agree with your advice not to rush to answer. Admittedly I am guilty of that. Wish me luck!
I'm planning on doing a phone interview tomorrow but there is no "job position" listed because they just want the people to call the store. Also, I have never worked before so, I don't have a resume. So, the hiring staff needs to train me and work with me because I don't have anything to give them.
Thank You Linda for the resources you make available to all free of charge through your videos. I've watched at least 6 of them as I prepare for my job search and important interview next week. You and what You do are awesome! I'm grateful for your generous approach to helping others. Thank You :-)
I had a phone screening today and everything was going great until....the technical fit part. I was not able to line up my experience into my responses and that's exactly when they cut the interview short and told me "thank you for your time. You will be hearing from us soon. We have several candidates we still need to interview." It lasted 15 minutes.
Here I am watching all videos for telephone interview on youtube from highly Profesional HR and career coach for tips. keeping down notes from 6 videos and preaparing my questions and answers. I have my screening call interview tomorrow! Wish me luck. ❤

I wish I saw this before my phone interview:( I got so nervous I felt like I was even stuttering during the interview. It was horrible specially for an agent type position I had apply at!!! I normally do well but it was a bad moment 😳
I’m watching this 20 minutes before mine. I’m so nervous, thank you for your pointers!
Excellent phone interview tips! This is exactly what I needed to focus on. Thanks!
Thank you Linda. Your advice and suggestions have helped me to get a job promotion after a struggle of 2 years. Thank you so much. I will recommend you to friends and family.
THANK YOU! A million thanks for sharing your tips and wisdom during the hiring process!
It blows my mind that there are people who gave this video thumbs downs!! All she does here is giving a great and useful information (not to forget: it's FREE), and all you guys need is to like it or move on. Giving this kind of video (a useful informational video) a thumbs down is just CRUEL and it's almost a subtle bullying.
thank you Linda, excellent info before receiving a phone call interview.
I have a love-hate relationship with phone interviews 😔
Thanks for the tips!! 😊
Thanks Linda!
I will have a phone interview on Monday, and your advices helps!
Hi Linda,
Good Video.
I have a phone interview on Friday. Excited!
Thank you very much , i can work my english listening with you, because you speak very clearly and there is subtitle. From France
Thank You Linda for the resources you make available to all free of charge through your videos. I've watched at least 6 of them as I prepare for my job search and important interview next week. You and what You do are awesome! I'm grateful for your generous approach to helping others. Thank You :-)

How often do phone interviews lead to job opportunities?
I had a phone screening today and everything was going great until....the technical fit part. I was not able to line up my experience into my responses and that's exactly when they cut the interview short and told me "thank you for your time. You will be hearing from us soon. We have several candidates we still need to interview." It lasted 15 minutes.
When I'm asked a question on a phone interview I usually count out loud, 1, 2, 3 and then I answer.
This was way funnier than it should have been 🤣🤣🤣
