I've been boating since I was 5. So 33 yrs. I've only cared about top end when I had 15 ft boats from the 50's. Once you get to 36 mph (ish) you're at a comfortable speed enjoying the scenery and conversation and music. (Not on my bowrider, I'm just listening to a loud loud engine).
Did anyone else notice he barely had to raise his voice while gunning it, I'm getting one.
Preach it brother. Doesn't matter what you run on the water, the land or in the air, that kick in the butt you get when you slam the hammer down is what people will remember and bring on the giggles. Yes I said giggles.
Great video. Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge about these boats.
I would like to understand reasons why I should choose the PTX 30 or the PTX 36.
Hello, Sorry it's taken me so long to respond. Thank you for your comments. I'd love to discuss the performance difference between the 36" and 30" PTX, but it would be a lot easier if you called so we could chat. Please feel free to call 320-222-2628
Hey! this was really helpful in understanding what you were saying in the first video in your office. Thanks!
Just found your site, you do a great job. We live on Marco Island Florida. As far as I know there is only one dealer who sails pontoon boat, and that would be one brand. I wish you had a dealership in our area.
Tom, I have learned a lot from your videos. Thank you Sir.
3-4 mph more Top End Speed is almost un-detectable, BUT a hole shot is obvious and necessary when fishing in in shallow flats
Great info on Tri-Hull Pontoon Boats. I was able to learn more with your UA-cam video's than any other source on the internet. Looking to purchase a Tri-Hull Pontoon boat once my new home is built on the lake in Florida (previous home destroyed by Hurricane Michael in Oct 2018.)
Many thanks - very informative
I own a 22 ft pontoon boat with a Honda 90 VTEC. Just bought the boat love the boat but it's just too slow. I don't mind putting money into this boat so what kind of prop size should I use and how do I go about getting a third pontoon installed. Can I then go with a larger engine? The dealer lied to me and told me the boat would do 25 to 28 I'm barely getting 1618. Help
Wow, That is fast, I am going to swap my prop to a 4 blade, now I have a 14.5" by 15 3 blade. My boat is comparable to yours. It is the new Bennington 24RTsba bowrider version Almost same as your PTX tube. My Boat is sluggish with a 300 yamaha. 42 MPH
Beautiful
I've watched both these videos and I agree with everything you said.
I want a pontoon boat that can go smoothly thru or over the rough water in Lake George N.Y. A pontoon is the best option, which package would you recommend for straight driving through waves as the main concern?
I was thinking Manitou or Bennington. Bennington makes a twin tube where both are eliptical, I was considering that. Manitou vp and who are awesome but I'm thinking that center tube being lower would be jarring because it's more submerged? All thoughts appreciated. Thanks
Hi Richard.
Thank you for your comments.
Any twin tube will cut through the water and give a smooth ride. However a triple tube, because of it's higher speed will cut through the water like a knife through soft butter. Search for a Premier Pontoon. The PTX center tube handles and performs like no other triple tube PERIOD. They put a patent on the PTX center tube 20 years ago so nobody can copy them. Trust me, when the patent runs out, everyone will make a PTX center tube. A Bennington with a Elliptical center tube is the next best thing. Manitou just got bought out buy Evinrude. We are no longer a Manitou dealer for that reason. I will not carry Evinrude motors
@@FamilymarineboatsMN Bennington now makes a similar tube boat they call their Bowrider version. It has a very similar center tube, ride is off the charts, handling is very similar are the PTX tube on your Premier.
What is the total weight of the system?
What is the diameter of the prop?
Love this pontoon. How much is a setup like this? I am researching right now. I am in Tampa florida. Your videos have been so helpful!
Thank You
If you're interested in speaking about a triple tube pontoon, please call Corey at 320-222-2628
thanks!
You need to use your GPS to get an accurate speed. I never use the analog speedo because it is not accurate.
The closer you can get that engine to 6 grand the better your fuel performance and performance over all .....I have been running twins on off shore boats all of my life and have figured that out ... you know what you're talking about
Thank You
only spends 10% at top speed because your wife is riding with you the other 90% of the time.
