Sir, I came back from Spiti valley trip last week, unfortunately we had to return from Kaza as Manali Chandigarh Highway was having lots of landslides and police was returning people from Chandra taal & Batal. So went to Rakccham on our way back. Awesome trip, RE Himalayan for the win.
Yes Spiti valley has been closed for a while and we too did not go there though we were scheduled to. And happy that you had an alternate route and had a good time. And yes, the Himmer is quite well suited for the Himalayas. Cheers!

Hey I have doubt, is there any alternative for the detergent like diesel or wd40 or chain cleaner? And even for the oil does light coat of chain spray works, I am curious if you have tried similar alternatives, and if we are stranded and only have basics like petrol wd40 and can of chain spray does it hurt the fabric of the filter.

Soap water can be used. No diesel or wd40. These will destroy the filter fabric.

I'm looking to improve the throttle response of my Honda H'ness CB 350 on highway rides. Considering I can buy only one of the following parts at a time, in which order should I get these - BMC air filter, Fuelx pro ECU, and Red Rooster exhaust. Which one of these would make the most amount of difference for the money?

Consider sprocket change. You will experoenced reduced top speed in each gear though!
@@maneckkatrak1379 Thanks! I wonder how much top speed would be reduced though (currently it can go at 100kmph in 3rd gear and hits the rev limiter).
Also would the speedo and odometer be thrown out of calibration after a sprocket change? That's one major concern of mine since the bike is new and I want the odometer to be fairly accurate
@@chnacr2 Top speed will reduce by about 10% in higher gears. I am unsure if gear indicator will give incorrect reading, but the speedo is normally connected only to front wheel in most motorcycles.

Personal preference is BMC.
Hi Bosky ! Whats your opinion on upgrading with bmc airfilter on himalayan ?How many kms should I for my bike to clock ? Should I get the air filter alone or get an free flow exhaust with it ?
Upgrade is good to do. There is no set kms and anytime is a good time. I suggest that you combine the BMC with the FuelX for best effect. Exhaust can come later too.

Hi. I use k&n air filter for my car and it's cleaning kit is far more expensive compared to bmc. So can I use bmc filter cleaner ?
May be you can. Check with the retailer you bought the filter from.
There are some filter in market which do not required oiling ...any thoughts on them

I had a doubt about the performance air filter , sir i hope you know there are many performance air filters available in the market and i have seen that K&N air filters dont properly filter dust and it gets passed through the filter to the engine which leads engine damage in long term but i haven't seen this problem anywhere with BMC air filters so wanted to know if it will be safe and not like other air filters which dont filter properly?
I've used them for many years and all seems ok.

I planned to fit performance air filter in my classic reborn for more breathing. Should it be enough or should I do ECU tuning or some other stuffs to make it work perfect? Will I see any noticeable drop in mileage? I believe the sound and performance will go high slightly for sure. Need your advice. Thanks in advance.
Just the filter will make negligible perceptible performance improvement no need to remap.

Hi I have a Thunderbird 350 BS3. I recently upgraded to RR Free Flow Exhaust and K&N Free flow filters. What should my Carb setting be to reap the benefits?
Am not too familiar with carb tuning. And there is no set setting. Varies.
Hi, with regards to the bmc air filter in the interceptor 650, do we have to spray the detergent and regenerative liquid on the inside of the triangle? Cause some ppl spray it on the outside too.. Just purchased an bmc air filter. While looking at it against the sun, i see minute holes in it.
Is that normal or is it that the filter need oiling.
I am super confused, pls help

I have a DNA filter on my bike. Is it alright to use a K&N kit to clean and oil it?
Should be OK. Check with DNA.

Could these oiled filter cause any issue? Or should oil coat be dried before we use the bike?
Oil is applied to absorb the smallest dust particles. Part of the filtration process. Doesn't need to dry.

Can we clean the air filter of Honda Activa?
Paper element air filters can be cleaned with compressed air may be one or twice and then need to be replaced as per manufacturer recommendation. They cannot be washed and reused.
What is the interval in terms of months sir?

That's a fabric, not paper! And its designed to be used with oil.

It is cleaned with water and detergents.
Do we need to mandatorily do this every 5k kms? BMC manual says 25000 kms!
Depends on the environment. Most cities are massively dusty.

Sir I having interceptor my question is what happen if we remove the front snorkel on the air filter and keep it open .. Will more dust goes in and damage the engine or it will increase the air flow only???
More dust, little more air. No perceptible change in performance.
