I used the shark and crushed all four pillars, no problem. I loaded all four pillars with explosives, and realized you _only have to do it with_ *one* _pillar!!!!_ 😭
Oh my god. Me and my friends spent about an hour swimming around aimlessly when we just had to swim up the elevator shaft. I am suffering. This saved my life.
The eight alcoves around the edges of the boss fight get you out of sight, and have air pockets above them. You may also find helpful items hidden in the alcoves, too.

As someone that's terrified of deep/dark water, I've mostly been able to deal with everything in this game so far, and I genuinely do enjoy the game overall. Descending at Caravan Town was hard, but I managed. This though, I'm struggling to not freak out and explore the sides of the towers and whatnot. Wanting to 100% it all, these videos helped me a tonne to spend as little time here as possible, haha.

Tip for the underwater portion, you may find those weird vent looking things that look like they should have bubbles coming out of them, but don't, but there is usually a bit of air just above all of them, even the ones that don't have bubbles, above like a drop ceiling. There is also a section of this drop ceiling that has loot in it, so keep an eye out for that.

Bring three oxygen bottles and three fins, also a backpack if you bought that in Tangaroa like I did. The Rhyno Shark first sees you, then he lowers his horn to aim and hit you , this is the moment you get behind the columns If you "get cover" too early the shark will just roam around again.

and well if ur in hard mode, first thing first - bruce... park on the opposite side to where your going to dive, and build a 4th level to jump onto the crane building

Just let everybody know what the big boss fight I found this out after I beat him if you go to the sides usually there's an air pocket upwards in them sometimes in events there will be the good healing salves in them that you can find. Would have been useful to know before my fight but lucky me I came prepared and had some normal ones on me.
What do you mean “all four pillars”? You should only need to destroy 3 pillars. Destroy a single pillar (out of the four) on the bottom floor, when the pillar crumbles it will leave a hole in the ceiling. Swim up through that hole and destroy one of the two pillars up there. This will leave another hole in the ceiling, swim up through the hole and destroy the single pillar that is in that room. The shark should die after that single large pillar goes down, if it doesn’t, then you’re experiencing a glitch.
This is not a 100% walkthrough. Yes, you get to the notes and blueprints, but you do not show where all the loot is, also you skip around alot and don't explain how you got where you are. AND I wasted a good bit of time and had to look up other walkthroughs to figure out you need to take a zipline down to the other building. You did not show or explain that. It's pretty obvious in hindsight, but if you're doing a walkthrough, assume even obvious things need to be pointed out.

anyone else have the issue where they get the shark boss to knock down the pillars and blow all four up and then the shark still doesn't die?
sounds like a bug to me. Maybe reload one of the autosaves before the fight and try it again (I hope you have autosave on 10 min timer enabled^^)
