volvo VNL cold hot air actuator mechanism and valve

this video shows the location and workings of the hot cold air selector actuator and heater core coolant valve on a 2012 volvo VNL with a d13 engine. it's probably the same on the Cummins engine volvo

I drive a 2021 vnl760. I can’t control the a/c. It’s either all cold or all heat.

@@Pelinas Nope. I still drive the truck because it run great otherwise. I had a 2010 Prostar a/c problem for 3 years. Another truck driver at a truck stop, told me how to fix the problem. I hoping that happen again.

what operated the vents. like when you switch the defroster on and back to blowing in your face? seems like mine goes out after a while

The truck blows hot even if the fan is in the off ,and control is in the cool position.
What it could be, the actuator.?

This is a very bad design from a mechanical stand point which causes endless ac issues.

..that dosen't go up , it goes back in to the engine , it also have an arrow pointing down for the flow of coolant (outlet coolant core valve) . .. good vid anyway . 👌
