When I first start my journey, I bought the cheapest things possible because I didn’t want to spend a lot of money incase I couldn’t stick with it. Here we are 9 months later, I spend more time exploring the new savings challenges on Etsy than I do on Facebook Lol 😂

Same. I have a history of not sticking with things and have wasted so much 💰 over the years 🙄 Now what I do is buy an inexpensive item of what I want, see if I use it often enough and want a better model, then upgrade. 🙂 And I upgraded to Ira! I appreciate his attention to detail 🔬
🍪 When I started cash budgeting I used Amazon purchases to get started. Now that I'm debt free I buy the cute personalized stuff from etsy or websites of budgeters I watch. The binder with envelopes and trackers was a good buy. Don't enter me in the drawing, I have all kinds of great stuff already! Plus I'm daily getting new great stuff from your 24 day and 12 day advent calendars! 🍪

🍪 my favourite was the zipper envelopes and colourful labels. We are just starting cash envelopes from the new year to help us get somewhere to paying off our debt and these things would really help us!
Let's be honest for someone on a budget just starting out with not alot to spend amazon has options for people.. yes its lovely to support small businesses and you will get more of a personalised touch but it's not in everyone's budget. Tbf you don't need a lot to start cash envelope budgeting a pack of white envelopes and a pen will do the job. But making things more colourful and fun would have more of a positive impact on what you save and achieve because you enjoy it more ❤❤❤❤

When I started out, similar time to you….. I laminated sheets of colourful card and wrote on them with sharpie pen😂 Did the job and became debt free though😊 now I have a mixture of Budget with Ira envelopes but they are a bit battered x

Hi, I was wondering if you could maybe come up with a budgeting set up using Poundland - I know they obviously wouldn't have an actual budget binder or cash envelope but it would be interesting to see if a system could be set up that wasn't just a case of using basic white envelopes
Also I wanted to say that I love your videos and I'm enjoying watching you open your advent calender. Unfortunately I couldn't get one this year but I am hoping to next year 😊

Oh crumbs 🍪 Some of those items were dire! The best thing was the zipper envelopes 😮 I don't recall spending anywhere near that amount when I started budgeting (made up for it since, but saved up too) If I was starting over again then I'd much rather support a small business & get something of quality. Things might seem cheaper to begin with but it's often false economy due to the failure / replacement rates 🤦🏼♀️ xx

The planner is more than suitable for beginners and not that expensive, the Etsy shops
have lovely things and you can get them personalised but they are so expensive and really it doesn’t matter
what they look like when your starting the stuffing as long as they do the job, not everyone can afford
all glittery binders and planners.

I'm all for a bargain, but am a true stationary S**T, so the only things that seemed like my style was the binder and the colored envelopes. So I'm lucky that I was able to go a little crazy during your sale and got everything I wanted including the 12 day advent calendar that I'm really enjoying!
When I first started I got several things from Amazon. Once I started seeing other budgeters I started buying from Etsy! 🍪
