Don't mislead people. The original leak only said the RT-TFlops would be around 33.5. The actual GPU performance would be around 16-17 TFlops. This would put performance closer to a 3060 Ti, not a 4070 Ti lol. So it would be like upgrading from a 2070 to a 3060 Ti, except with more vram.

I dont think its worth the upgrade as of right now, if you got the money go ahead but pretty much all the games run smoothly on a regular ps5. Since we are heading into the late stages of ps5, this is where games are gonna go all out, thats what happened with the ps3-4 as all the console sellers came out in the late years and required more power.
I have never seen the point on going past Full HD, let alone getting to 8K gaming. I know there is an increase in detail and all, but you will onyl notice that the first time you are playing, when you are still chilling and appreciating the graphics, but once you get into the actual story and start concentrating on really playing, you are not going to be paying attention to such a detail. Besides, the increase in detail from Full HD to 4K is not even that big for you to actually notice unless you stop and stare at a single frame fot a prolongued time, which of course most people won't do.
No, just no. PlayStation is getting EVERYTHING wrong. People aren’t buying more consoles because the hardware is old, it’s because they’re not making enough games, and the ones they do make are woke, thus killing their sales. When you increase the power of the console you also increase the development time for each game. We are waiting a minimum 5-10 years for each game to be developed, this is going to push in to 7-15 years, and push games cost even higher. No one is going to pay the $150 for a standard addition game they need to remain profitable. If they don’t course correct soon it could be the end of console gaming

They're going on Microsoft route now, powerful machines and a very few games to offer. And most of the available games on ps5 don't even offer 60fps on 4k. And it's capable of running games on 120fps on 4k and 30fps on 8k! But what's the point when there are no such games out there? And the tv that's capable of doing all this would be insanely expensive too! Much more than the ps itself.
If you bought a ps5 and now buy a new one then you could have had a good pc and no restrictions on what games to play and no fee for the network you use.

The ps5 is rated to be closer to the rtx 2080 or the 6650xt. The pro being even remotely close to 4070 ti or even the 4070 makes it the new Ps6 which sound impossible to me. The spec jump between the base and the pro is too high to make sense

There’s 3 games that take advantage of the current ps5 hardware. Either way scalpers will make this nearly impossible to get once again.
