5:37 They got greenlit for 26 episodes, but SPLIT into a two seasons. Fresh TV wanted a longer season, with longer intro, but the networks wanted 13 episodes.
The show may seem rush now but it’s two seasons with the same cast so eventually we’ll get to know more about the new cast. Hopefully, Season 3 will introduce a new island or set with new and returning cast.
Speaking of new islands, I have been wondering about that this whole time - the original summer camp island sunk at the end of Total Drama All-Stars, and that is why we had a different island in Total Drama: Pahkitew Island. So how did Chris, Chef and Owen, when he was a guest judge for the cake challenge, eventually find a near-exact copy of the summer camp island that sunk?
I recommend giving disventure camp a try! it’s so mature and really good. characters are way more realistic, although the budget and animation is a bit iffy in the first season and A LOT in season 2, season 3 makes up for it being one of the best seasons airing right now (in my opinion).
The new Total Drama in atmosphere alone feels much different from its predecessor seasons plus the Ridonculous Race. It feels like DramaRama all over again. At this point, the reality show format should be retired. As original and interesting some challenges were, I personally want to see some resolution and reuniting of the past campers and racers in a mature spin-off focusing on their adult lives similar to Bojack Horseman or a High School AU spin-off similar to Degrassi. I never really watched or cared for Degrassi, but a Total Drama version of the average Teen Drama show would be awesome if made right. However, with the usual and current mindset of Tom McGillis and Jennifer Pertsch and Turner CN Enterprises owns the franchise now, it will never happen given my aforementioned ideas would be best suited as a Netflix series and Cartoon Network focuses solely on comedy shows. Only in a perfect world could we submit our well-thought ideas to the creators of our favorite shows and they would be greenlit immediately.
I will say. I wish there was more episodes green lit just so we can dive into a long worthy season to watch. Besides that though, the show really looks good.
I love the reboot and I think it looks great so far. I love how like half the cast are content creators and use modern slang (even if it sounds cringe), it makes it seem as the show really progressed and they decided to do a reboot 15 years later. I did hear there's an episode where they talk about farting the entire time, but I'm just gonna ignore it I'm sure it's fine. I enjoyed the first episode, even tho it seemed a little rushed, we did get a small introduction for each character, and had a challenge with someone getting out all in one episode. This show has potential, and I hope it does well.

I mean already saw who won in the first and second season so of course they would rush this by airing it on Cartoon Network a year later late.
EXCELLENT WORK. D.C.NETWORK CARTOON NETWORK TOTAL DRAMA ISLAND REBOOT, REVIEW

Seconded. I may not watch the main Total Drama series anymore, but Disventure Camp (Season 1 especially imo) is quite good.
@@danielbeck4948 Have you seen the other seasons?
@@h4ndymannyofc DCS1 is simply my favorite.
Characters are way more realistic, like old woman who somehow wins, yes very realistic

they need to have full length seasons again with 20 episodes

Can you please elaborate how you think this revival of the original Total Drama series feels like Total Dramarama all over again?

I love it
The Total Drama Island Revival is a soft reboot like Bionicle did before Bionicle got G2 a complete reboot.
Did you hear Bionicle is rumored to come back next year?
I watched it and it look’s okay… but I’m ready to see more
I'd think it's More of a ReBoot series
I liked both season
Already saw it early bc of UA-cam lol I didn’t finish everything yet but I really love this season. Better than pakitew and all stars
I missed out since I don't have cable tv.
I'm aware there are Other Choices where to watch it, but I would rather support the show.
You can check it out on Max if you have the service
