I’m not perfect. I’m an adult. I’m observant. I learn from what others either did wrong or just flat out didn’t have the information to know what to do…. Most of all, I’m not taking anything from a business that discriminated against me. I know the difference between a sincere apology, a disingenuous peace offering, and a bribe.

There’s a proper way of going about a situation like this, especially when a lawsuit was being considered from the very beginning of their mistreatment.
Hell… I’d even suggest reporting this to the local news station and having them running a story on it would’ve been more responsible than taking trips and going to dinners.
Taking them to lunch actually strengthened their case because it shows bribery. Sometimes when the police builds a case against you they give you a long rope with a short catch. 😂 👏🏾

this is a bit of an odd story. They accept a loan that they didn't want. I think there was reprehensible conduct on both sides here. I find it embarrassing that this couple would make this story public. " Good people" don't do what they did.

From what I can see these people made some very tragic mistakes. First there's no way I would have allowed that money to sit in that same account in that same bank I would have transferred that money to an offshore account at the very minimum somewhere that's inaccessible to this same bank.

I hope that anyone else in the Houston area that had the same experience to take out an ad and begin a class action lawsuit. This couple definitely had no concerns about anyone but themselves. That bank doesn't have the right to discriminate. They would have gladly accepted themoney/tokens kept their mouths shut .As for them receiving the bribes they don't have a lawsuit. I’m just curious, why don’t African American open their own business like grocery store, bank, etc… in their communities. Provide services and goods to their people and keep the money in their community. There are a lot of rich and successful African American in this country. I just don’t understand it
African Americans had thriving communities such as Rosewood, black Wall Street in Oklahoma, Lake Lanier Ga, & Seneca Village NYC to name a few. White mobs attacked murdered the residents in Oklahoma and destroyed the infrastructure the surviving residents had to flee same as the Rosewood massacre. The others were taken by the local governments. Google is very useful.

It doesn't say much about character if you are taking bribes and then suing them after. Don't accept anything from them and just simply show them by holding them accountable and take legal actions against them. The optics does not bode well when you take bribes and offerings from the establishment, go to Vegas with them, have drinks and gamble together, then turn around to sue them. If you accept bribes from shady people, you in turn in ways can be viewed as shady yourself. The bank needs a wake-up call and needs to make it clear to all their employees - that it does not matter if they are an "Asian" business; they are conducting business here on American soil so they must comply with American laws and discrimination based on race is unacceptable and against the law here. PERIOD. Otherwise, then take your business out of the US.

The principle of the matter got tossed to the backseat for the sake of material interest/gain on both sides but now it’s being put back in the front seat after the bank closed their account and false accused them. Had the bank not done that the couple wouldn’t be singing this tune. Though I don’t agree with swapping out your principles like trading cards.😅

They accepted the offer and that indicates they are happy with the fact that they were being declined for opening an account. The offer was a settlement to this. Why lawsuit ? Greed in the cover of racism
